That will always remain a judgment call. I'll let people judge themselves and hopefully, they will see by themselves they may have a problem with their playing time. I've stated that Darkforest67 did this in 10 days, he probably had 3 hours of sleep a day, doubt he washed himself during those 10 days and surely had lots of quickly prepared food to eat.- He probably felt that this would somehow leave a mark in history when all it does actually is leave a binary trail which is long forgotten by now, not many people know who got 99 first and not many really care (and should) about that anyway. Someone is working hard on maintaining the first spot right now, probably plays 10+ hours a day to do that. The 2 weeks is, a really bad title and should be removed. Doesn't really matter how long it takes you to reach 99, the guide should simply ease your way into 99 not try to show you that, to get 99, you might as well play 12 hours each day. What will that accomplish anyway? But again, I leave people's own judgment on how long they should play each day. For me, the 4 hours is way too long and I must admit I'm having a hard time with it and I think I shouldn't play that long for sure but since I'm so hellbent on getting those 50k+ chins for my range (which on the other hand will take around 40 hours), I'm putting up with it at present time.

Actually, if we wanna flame your guide, it's our right to do so. We see statements, we react to statements, the sillier the statement, the harder the arguments. Many people who write guides are narrow minded, they rely on their own experience and suddenly believe that, their experience is the way, the road to heaven. A true guide (in the true sense), will rely much more than on its own experience, he will or she will be opened to learning things out of their own path, this is how you progress in in a given field by comparing things and finally choosing one you believe works best for you and thinking it may also work for others. Someone may discover that chins isn't the way to go in the future, although I have my doubts about that since only the advent of a new animal may change that. But in the meanwhile, red chins is the very way to go in hunting, anyway other way will result in a serious crash of moral, for you will realize that you only increased one skill to 99 and come out empty handed at the end. And yes, it will take time to gain 99 hunter, at present time, it takes around 4 hours a day per level (and I'm having a very hard time with that), I will have to split the levels very soon. Just for level 99, calculations are at around 12 hours for that level (according to catch rate). Meaning, it would take 3 days for that level to get 4.6k of chins.

Don't ever smoke your traps, it's totally useless and a total waste of time since the differentio between smoked and non-smoked traps is marginal. Remove the red sal from your guide, it's a terrible idea, it'll mean you'll eventually get 99 hunter with empty hands as there is nothing at all worthwhile you'll be able to do with those worthless critters (and I'm pretty much guessing you keep releasing them anyway). Red chins, the jury is out, they are the very best hunting option, slow to trap (but still worth catching) under level 80, one has to go with them till 99 hunting and either get a heap of money selling them or a heap of range experience using them (and no, I'm not even talking about using PC with them, there is an even better area to use them with). So the best tip I could give you is to rewrite your guide. P.S It doesn't mean that, because someone got their 99 it is the way to go. I'm quite sure that, many people who took part in the initial race which "darkforest67" won in 10 days, are bitting their nails now because they didn't opt for the red chins and probably wish they would have waited more before starting their own race till 99.

Very basic guide from someone who doesn't possesses the required skill to actually be a "guide" in the first place. Ok, now that very annoying debate about how long it took someone to gain 99 hunter. First of all, that "someone" is darkforest67 and that "someone" didn't gain hunter in 4 days (which is physically and mathematically impossible), but in 10 days (you can win on the math here but it means he had little sleep during those 10 days). Now, 99 in two weeks is pretty much impossible for the rest of us "humans", you'd have to play 12+ hours a day. Someone was pretty on the math calculations, this pretty much stated how much time it would take to gain levels (at around 200-250 an hour when in level 80+). So it's pretty darn easy for everyone out there to do that math. Of course, I'm speaking about red chins here, doing anything else is, in my opinion, crazy. Those chins, that 48k (better go for 55k), will give you 99 range and probably (if you are high enough) get you to 99 hp. And if you don't care about 99 range, you sell the little rodents for a heap of money. Hunting -anything- else for 99 hunter is... well... nuts.

I have to take responsibility for my past, I would have had a green account, I am quite sure I would not have been in this place I was during those 2 weeks. I have received another letter from Jagex, another surprise and I see more and more a company who actually cares now when I have been wondering if they really did care at all. An appologie for what happened and also a 7 day credit placed on my account. I have always stated that I didn't want this thread to be about trashing Jagex, I had felt an injustice had been done to me and others, stating also that I had been playing by the rules and modified myself since that first ban which I should have been honest enough to state that I was guilty and that I was sorry but I wasn't honest enough back then to do that. But, when you play by the rule, you expect that the effort you do are rewarded of course, not being discouraged by errors like these. I remain a as resolved as ever to continue to play by the rule, this, even if my account would have remained banned.

Hopefuly, hee, if they find they have nothing on you, they will get that mute lifted. I had lost all hopes, I never thought it possible to ever recover my account, so since I did recover it, there is still hope for you of course.

Ok guys... I'm not too sure how to say this because it's pretty darn hard to understand but I got my account back, two weeks after it was permanently banned. I got a bunch of emails, a bunch of queries in my rs inbox, the emails setoff my checking my rs inbox where i noticed that half of the replies I got were about me breaking either 1 rule or many rules (!) and that my account would stay banned and the other half from other mods stating that a system error had occured and that because my account was already flag in the past with a ban I hit with the error and that I had not done any offenses. My account was reinstated without the very gross letter most people got about Jagex giving them a second chance but it's pretty much the same actually for me when I think about it. So... everything is back to normal, albeit, I'm thinking that my account is more fragile than ever now. For those who are still waiting to be unbanned, there is hope people, it took long enough but I am going to thank the people or person who finaly unbanned me.

heejunmoon4, I can understand your frustration of course, a permanent mute is as much as a death sentence as a perm ban. There's not much you can do anymore without being able to talk. Trades are complicated as hell, people all think you are impolite, you wanna have friends, you can't. You lose all interest in playing because the game doesn't have the same appeal anymore. Have they stated an offense or are you like me, nothing accused of?

I was thinking today, if they had a tiny bit of heart. They could have allowed me to empty my bank, transwer everything into my second and then reban my account as they are so bent on banning it without any reason. That way, I could have said that Jagex had a little heart at least. That would have given me a good start for my second and would have made the entire thing a bit more acceptable. But of course, I then woke up and slapped myself silly :)

My account banning has nothing to do with them thinking someone else hijacked it. I wish it was the case, but it's not the case. Please read the note I posted previously carefuly, note that it doesn't state anywhere that my account was reviewed like they promised all people affected by their "weird" mass account banning two weeks ago. Keep in mind he's talking about RULES and not a rule. Interesting, I guess that not only I broke a rule which I still no idea which one and no, I didn't break any rule. But, according to him, I broke many rules, interesting! Also, never does he state nor does he seems to be interested in telling me which rules I broke, strange, no? I mean, I'm obviously a bad boy here, I broke a bunch of rules, maybe too many rules to list them, yes, that must be it, I must have broken 50 rules all at once. The anger is starting to really kick in now. So many things I've lost, my easter ring, my customes, money, armor and the rest can always be replaced of course, but not the unique items. Hey, I'm more willing to take responsibility for my action, I'd be more than ok if they told me which rule(s) I broke and being able to look or partially look at the evidence so I could CONTEST it. I know by now that something is really weird, something happened at their offices and they decided to cover it all up, pass the buck along on players that had "tainted" accounts. Because I have always maintained that my account wasn't virgin of offenses, I had previous offenses and I had correctly myself so never I would be in a situation where I would ever be accused of anything again. I had make the effort, a great effort and the reward I got was this. So, I do partially blame myself, I am thinking that, if my account would have been virgin this would have probably never happened. And yes, I have been accused many times of macroing when not answering someone with the very annoying "level" questions. I refuse to answer level questions, I refuse to answer stupid repeat questions, I have the right to ignore anyone in this game and not being accused of cheating because I ignore this or that person. Even after I have seen "I'm gona report you for macroing" I still will not answer them because I won't give in to this crappy form of blackmailing. I have put confidence in the detection system, presuming that it would simply toss over the report as it would prove that I was playing and simply ignoring the scum that was bothering me. I will never change this, I will keep on ignoring people that I prefer to ignore. I have, on the other hand, lost faith in Jagex, not in the system itself but in the people that are in command post. I now realize that emotion goes into this and that cheating can be not only on the player's side but on the workers at Jagex. Of course, I have no proof to back my claim, I go buy this entire two last weeks and put 2 and 2 together and come up with this dark conclusions. 1. My account was never reviewed has promised. 2. I was never accused with any specific rules I was suppose to have broke. 3. I was never given a chance to defend myself for there was no ban appeal. 4. 95% of my queries where left unanswered and took repeated amount of emails before I would get 2 replies. These are basic facts that speaks a bunch by their own. I leave to you all to make up your own minds about these people that work for ...us? I still wish all of you the best of luck and never to be in my situation again. My account dated back to 2001, it is dead. And thanks for the offer for the rune axe, I have started another account many months ago, I was using it as a second so it's already moving along nicely at being almost level 70 now. But I will, most probably, have this anger build up more and more until I finally quit the game which I should have done the moment I realized I would never get my account back. "You were caught in the breach of"... blah blah blah. Read that one very carefuly, now tell me, what the hell rule is he talking about? None, actually, he doesn't talk about specific rule he even goes as far as using plural... rules. Pretty interesting because, never, anyone, ever, told me which rule or RULES I broke. Very interesting, at least now, I know this is all crap and I can rest with this, I prefer knowing these bastard made it all up, pretending that it was our fault when I know something happened at their office and had the balls to hide it and put on the player's back even making a little statement in the Rant section pretending that they would actually review the accounts. They talk about the terms of the game which I am obligated to follow, they are also obligated to follow these same rules, never I have been told what I was accused of (and no you never get to see the proof either) or never gave me a single chance of defending myself. Now, I know for certain I did nothing, but that's ok, I knew this was total bull from the start. This is the kind of practice at Jagex from now on you may expect. They finaly baned my thread in the RS forum, but i was expecting that one, I was also expecting that they would never bother to post a response in it. By now, since we are midweek and it been almost two weeks now, I am also expecting never to recover my account. Thank you all for the support you've shown.

And I finaly got a reply today. But hell, it's almost funny... The reply was an automated reply, a reply you would send to someone who inquires about bannins... so it starts with "Dear adventurers...". It tells me everything I wanna know about bannings. Doesn't state anything about what I wrote them which I'll copy and paste below: "Ok this is getting spooky, it says I'm banned from the forum? I haven't post anything recently and my posts have always been ok? What gives? I can't access ban appeal it's seems down and other people also seem to be banned, I saw some messages in the forum? Is everything ok? I didn't do anything at all here and my account was disabled. Can any reply to me as to what is happening?" That was my original question to them. Doesn't it state that I cannot use ban appeal? Guess what, their automated reply states I should use ban appeal :) But it's not all bad news. I got a reply, that's good, first time I got a reply since last week. Also, this reply means that I can (and did) send a ticket again in which I restating CLEARLY my case so hopefuly they may -actualy- read my email now as I am quite sure they didn't even read my comment. Now, I had stated from the start that I NEEDED A REPLY so I could know for SURE they were working on reviewing my case. It was not the case at all, they were no reviewing my case, they don't even know what the hell is going on.

OK guys, this is moving away from the topic of the thread, let keep on topic here.

No news at all, and I doubt anything will happen today either. I'm guessing that, if I don't get my account back this week, I can kiss it goodbye forever. I would have, at this point, very angry words I could use to describe the Jagex staff, but I will spare all of you this useless anger of mine. I have just sent them another query (with an account I created because they have locked any possibilities for me to send queries using "NarcAngel") and will wait again for ANY damn responses on their part.
