Ok guys, I need your help here.

 

 

 

Two days ago, my account was permanently banned. I was playing PC, suddenly I lost connection, I went and tried to log back in and discovered that my account had been disabled.

 

 

 

I checked my Ban Appeal link, nothing in there but an old offense dating back to a long while ago. Nothing recent, nothing about the account being deleted, nothing to explain why I was permanently banned.

 

 

 

Now, of course, if I cannot see a reason why i was banned, I cannot appeal the ban because there is nothing there. So I used the customer inquiry system to send inquiries. I realized later that they warn you about using that system to send ban appeals but again, how else am I suppose to proceed here if I cannot see a reason for the ban nor have a ban appeal link?

 

 

 

It's been two days now and I have yet to receive one single reply.

 

 

 

But things are getting even more spooky now. I have tried just minutes ago to send another inquiry through that system, it tells me that it is Unable to send a ticket, meaning someone at Jagex has made it so I cannot use that system anymore.

 

 

 

Now, I know FOR SURE, I didn't do anything, and I mean -anything- to deserve my account being permanently banned.

 

 

 

I also sent 2 emails to the billing dep (real emails) which ALSO have not being replied.

 

 

 

I need help from your guys because I am running out of options here. I have no idea which course to take. I am given a permanent ban with no explanation, my inquiries are not being answered. Do anyone of you know if there is another recourse? I find this process highly offensive a way to treat a customer, if I could at least know why I was ban I could send a appeal and live with the decision even if I knew for sure they were wrong but at least I could try and DEFEND myself.

 

 

 

I doubt more and more that I will recover my account now, but any help you guys may give me may go a long way in giving more chances for that not to happen.

PS. I've had this account since 2001. I was level 112.

Ok, as I can obviously see here, I am far from being alone. What the hell is going on there? Is this an acceptable way for this company to act like?

no its sounds very wrong what their doing but i myself have no advice to give you since i'm not very knowlegdeable in this type of thing

I didn't want to come here and whine about this problem as I have a great deal of respect for this board. I'm just totally out of options here, I've had my "NarcAngel" for so many years now, I would simply demand a reason for the ban (which seems when reading the other comments I won't get any reason for the per ban), and since I cannot write an inquiry, I fail to see what in heaven's name I am suppose to do here?

xbiggsx, that copy and paste is pretty useless. No ban appeals link (that we already know) and no inquiry responses. Which is the exact reason why I decided to make this unacceptable behavior on their part made public.

apparently somthing happen with jagex and a lot of ppl got randomly banned (speculation) jagex is aware of this problem and are requesting you to submit your problem to customer support. this problem seems far spreed so i can imagen they are working there rear-ends off thus why you have had no responce as of yet.

This is so weird, tons of ppl are saying the same thing.

 

 

 

There has to be some sort of weird thing on macrodetecting programs or something of that sort since it is the only reason i could see they'd ban automatically ppl.

 

 

 

You should make a new account, log in to rs, add jmods as many as you know them and harrass them long enough to get a hold of someone to check your account and maybe unban it.

im perm muted for no reason, i sent them a quirey it's been 2 days with nothing, i check every minute =(

This is gettign ridiculous now, i havn't been on Runescape for liek a week, i logo n and i'm banned. No appeal and no offence, i would say more colourful words but i'll get banned on this Forum! Right this is the secret i KNOW runescape has gone wrong.

When i got permed (overturned) a few months ago, my highjscores wernt there. Now isn;t that a tad bit strange? Maybe a decent MOD from runescape can comment on this![/u]

dude and to add on that... PEOPLE SHOULDN'T GET BANNED FOR OFFENSIVE LANUAGE OR ASKING SOMEONE THEIR AGE, ITS RIDICILOUS...

 

 

 

 

 

people who should get banned are scammers, macro users, SERIOUSLY OFFENSIVE LANUGAGE (threats), ppl who ask for pw's and that such, most ppl on rs get black marks from simply swearing, isn't a 1 week mute a good punishment for swearing? y ban someone who pays for your game and vents a little frursation here and there?

I got banned as well with out a reason been 2 days without a reply. I think that maybe a jmod was quitting or something and just did mass ban. I have no idea how long it will take for them to repair the great wrong they have done :-(. I hope to hear new's here from ppl as they get there char back from jagex tho plz.

I have sent inquiries the very day I was permanently banned, like minutes afterway explaining the situation and knowing that it had to be a mistake.

 

 

 

Consider this now, it's been almost three days now. All of my inquiries have gone unansered, not a single reply. I cannot use the ban appeal, there is not marked (active) bans there. I can no longer use the inquiry system, it stops me from sending a ticket, I canot use the forum, i am banned, I cannot use bug report, I am banned.

 

 

 

I have sent emails, real emails to billing dep, no responses to both of my emails with me stating very CLEARLY that I want them to confirm to me that are no longer dipping into my credit card. No replies.

 

 

 

I have never seen, since 2001, Jagex acting in such a reckless maner. The company could simply state in a communiqủ̮̩̉ that a problem accured and that many accounts were affected by this problem and they are working very hard to reactivate the accounts would COMPENSATE the users affected for the problems and the stress caused by the account being deleted (of course I'm not talking about give a million to each user, just show the users which have been quite traumatized by the situation that Jagex actually cares).

 

 

 

Yes, Jagex is not in the abit of banning people for no reason, but how in the world can you explain this? I know for certain I didn't do anything at all here, but how am I suppose to defend myself if Jagex won't tell me why they banned me?

This seems like something has gone horribly wrong. The fact that they are treating players who have been around since 2001 in this manner is simply outrageous. They can't treat paying customers in this way.

 

 

 

I personally haven't been banned but I feel that being part of runescape is actually attacking personal rights and freedom. We are paying to be abused in such away, and it is slightly depressing. It is robbing people of money, they have payed for a service and they are not recieving it, even more they have shut of ways for paying customers to contact them, and depriving them of a right to know the charge.

 

 

 

I simply can't think of a solution. Making another account would reduce your word to the status of f2p which I doubt has any power at all...

It's been 3 days now, and not even a simple automated message to tell me that they have READ my inquiries and will proceed whenever they can. I would understand that they are flooded with request and show a lot of patience. But this is not the case, not one single reply, even from billing which is still SILENT about whether or not if Jagex is still dipping into my credit card.

 

 

 

Keep in mind that I cannot unsubscrib as I am permanently banned. I think the process is automatic that you are unsubscrib but all I am asking is that they simply confirm this.

 

 

 

This company has limited all lines of communication. You cannot phone them, you cannot directly email them, you cannot even reply to the replies they give you when ever they bother to give you a reply.

This isn't good guy's i suggest you use the official forums and try there, and since you can't send appeals, i'm really nto sure what to do, hopefully yall will get your accounts back =/ best of luck

Jagex as not made totally official the problem. They have stated that there is a present "problem" with some accounts.

 

 

 

"If you are having problems with your account and cannot see a reason for a ban, or cannot use the 'Appeal an Offence' link, then you should submit a message to Customer Support. We will review each account on a case by case basis."

 

 

 

Jagex has failed to communicate with the affected users.

 

 

 

Jagex as not stated if they are or will also analyse other accounts which have not submitted a review for their bans. This is very important because some people may be lead to think they have done something against the rules and just accept the ban and non-possibility of ban appeal process, thus losing their accounts for ever.

 

 

 

Jagex is responsible for account management, for the internal engine that checks for cheating, for how this engine works, for how people who uses the data from these engines work also.

 

 

 

If something went utterly wrong somewhere, it is possible for Jagex to bring out a communiqủ̮̩̉ saying their are concerned about the situation and are doing everything in the power to resolve this issue. Still keeping in mind that they must keep secret the internal work of this cheat detection engine, also having to keep secret its faillure or faillures because that would alert users that the engine itself itsn't 100% reliable or that the humans who uses the data gathered by the engine are very much less reliable.

 

 

 

Again, I cannot emphasize enough that a simple communiqủ̮̩̉ would reassure all affected users.

 

 

 

Right now, since I have not a single confirmation that anyone in Jagex staff as read my many inquiries, how am I suppose to proceed? How difficult is it to provide a simple note saying "We have received your inquiry"?

If I was Jagex I would probably save your account reinstatement till the very end. They screwed up and are working on it ... what are you accomplishing by flaming them? Do you somehow think they will get to your account quicker?

 

 

 

I used to work in Customer Service/Retention a while back and it was people like you that I enjoyed the most since I simply wouldnt do anything to help. IF you really want someone to help you out try being polite and patient. :-$

I agree totally. I also worked in Customer Service. Even when my company was at fault, they people who Beotched the most, were the people we helped last.

 

It's most likely someone or sumthing screwed up really really bad at Jagex HQ and they are overwhelmed with responses. Only solution is putting RS away for a while and getting on with RL or starting a new character.
