I couldn't care less if I was last, that is not the point at all here. Flamming? Where? Where exactly do you see flamming here? Did I ask people to leave RS? Did I ask people to send hate mail to RS?

 

 

 

What I wrote is a person being responsible and having an opinion and reacting to a unacceptable situation. Now, I could not have one least bit care about what you think, even more now that you told me how you use to act. If, for some reason, you let your emotions guide you at work, that meant you were a very bad worker and a negative asset for the company you use to work for. NEVER you should let your emotion guide you in your decision making, if you do not like a client, that is YOUR problem not the client's problem for the client comes first ALWAYS.

 

 

 

Now, just in case more "strange" cases comes here, let me be clear that what I have writen and what others have writen is concern about a company acting the wrong way. That's it, that's all.

 

 

 

Lastly, when you are going to be the TARGET of such a deletion in the future we will see just how PATIENT you will be. So next time, just shut up with the bull you just pulled and move on to another thread. Unless, you have a real opinion of course.

Malhavok, the tone was much better, much less agressive and much more constructive as you actually made suggestions.

 

 

 

But, the first part of my previous replies also would affect you. I have never let my emotions, as a nurse, guide the way I act toward a patient. Even if this patient is the WORSE I have ever had to deal with, or even if this patient as violent toward me. NEVER. Now, if you act in such a way that, because you are annoyed by CONCERNED clients and because you believe that their concerns is not valid enough for you to warant some urgency in trying to resolve what ever issue they are having with the company you work for, then I would have to say that you are a negative asset to the company yet again.

 

 

 

All clients are to be treated equal, whether one annoys you more than the next. Because, as you may very well be aware of, your next "big" client might exactly be the one that annoyed you the most and the one you most treated badly. So enough said with that.

 

 

 

As far as moving off, starting another character, once again, easier said than done. You two speak like people who are not the least bit involve in this, when you have your account deleted, when you are not sure if you will ever have it back. Maybe, just -maybe- you will see how it is to be in the shoes of the people who are living through this stress.

 

 

 

And yes, like all of us, I have a real life, and I am quite able to function in my real life without my RS character. The point was not whether I could manage without it, the point is HOW THE COMPANY IS ACTING. That, my friend, is the point and nothing but the point.

this just really annoys me, cause i was permed before and i got unpermed but they said it was my last chance ... im now off of the high scores... so im not sure if my account has a hope at being brought back to me. if it is gone for good im not starting a new char i had close to 20m and 1300+ stats ... what if it were to happen again? i just hope they quadruple check that everything is back to normal and this doesnt happen again.

That is exactly one of my point. Since we have no idea what happened here, since we do not know if its a glitch or they really think we did something, we have no idea if this is not going to happen in the future.

 

 

 

Again, this is nothing but a simple problem of communication so far. And burned is entirely on the company's side to make things clear ASAP.

It is a mass error on Jagex̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s behalf. When someone gets a ban, they have always been told why. I.e. You broke rule #1 etc, and you have 1 appeal opportunity. There was an update about 12 hours ago, apparently only affecting F2P servers, with no note from Jagex what is was for. Perhaps they are in the throes of fixing it, hoping to mass undo the botch-up, rather than do it on individual cases.

 

 

 

I do agree, that Jagex needs to put out a statement to the effect of what is happening. I only hope they get this sorted quickly, otherwise they will lose many long time players who contribute not only in game, but in the community as well. The forum community is vital for Jagex to recruit new players, and retain them. If a lot of experienced players leave, the community will lose out also.

This seems like something has gone horribly wrong. The fact that they are treating players who have been around since 2001 in this manner is simply outrageous. They can't treat paying customers in this way.

 

 

 

I personally haven't been banned but I feel that being part of runescape is actually attacking personal rights and freedom. We are paying to be abused in such away, and it is slightly depressing. It is robbing people of money, they have payed for a service and they are not recieving it, even more they have shut of ways for paying customers to contact them, and depriving them of a right to know the charge.

 

 

 

I simply can't think of a solution. Making another account would reduce your word to the status of f2p which I doubt has any power at all...

 

 

 

But they aren't treating people like this on purpose. Apparently, since they wnt and made a post on the forums for people in this exact situation, they know there is some kind of problem and are looking to fix it.

 

 

 

As for the amount of time it's taking to reinstate players, would you rather they stop what they are doing and respond to each and every person that was affected, or try to figure out what happened and correct it before reinstating players (where it might happen again). Include into that, the fact that each person that does send in a query has to be looked at individually. I don't know how they have it set up to review each account, but it might take some time if they have to go back over old reports to make sure that it wasn't someone that was legally banned trying to use this as a way to get their character back (not saying that anyone here would do that). If 100 people were accidentally banned and they can do only 20 a day, then that's gonna be at least 5 days before everyone gets their account back (not including time to fix whatever problem happened in the first place).

If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.

I'm very glad that you have your account back, I just cannot imagine how happy you can be.

 

 

 

Although, I think there was at least some communication from the start with you, I'm not sure but I think I read in another thread that they had promptly replied to you.

 

 

 

To the previous poster. Again and again, how many times do I have to repeat that a BASIC 1 or 2 line AUTOMATED message would suffice for us to understand they are WORKING on the problem. I am not asking them to rush things eventhough, deep down I want my account back as fast as they can give it back to me. But, with a very simple message, me and countless others would know that they are actually -really- working on our accounts.

 

 

 

PS. What they posted in the Rant section was very unclear and very distant message. Didn't say anywhere "We are sorry for the inconvenience this may pose for some of you.." . Again and again, simple basic communication problem.

I would say that this is a very sick and offensive message from customer support and not the first time I've heard of this message.

 

 

 

Not only they did ban our account for no reason given nor giving us an appeal as we all know there was a serious system error, but they are bringing it all on the back of the clients so that it seems that there was just no error, they just banned the account just for the fun of it.

 

 

 

Giving you a second chance, yeah right! What the hell? Where is the second chance here if you had no idea what you did in the first place? And since we all know we didn't do anything, this means that, at anytime in the future, your account my disappear.

 

 

 

Sickening and offensive.

I agree, its pathetic. Even on my offence history it says, instead of "You have been perm banned!", "You have 1 last chance!". Now that i find pathetic...

This is nothing different than living in a dictatorship.

 

 

 

They made a huge blunder, what caused this blunder is still unknown. To hide this blunder, they are putting the fault back on the customers so to make sure that the rest will not put in doubt the banning system as if it was the case, you can easily imagine the outroar this would cause.

 

 

 

If they blame you for something, they have the OBLIGATION of revealing the offense, thus accusing you with something. Not only they accused us of nothing, since we obviously have no ban explanation, but there system obviously screwed up by making it impossible to do a ban appeal (which in turns confirms the screwing up part).

 

 

 

By saying they are giving you a second chance, they are placing you in a constant state of fear... asking yourself.. what if a user tells you that you are macroing and reports you? You didn't macro at all, but what if the report alone suffice in banning you now?

 

 

 

I mean, it's obvious, they overstated the fact that you will be -very closely watched- from now on. This is treat, nothing but a treat and bullying tactics. They are, slowly but surely, implamanting an atmosphere of fear in the game now. Not a fear for the autoers and cheaters, no, a fear for -every single palyers- out there. Since we obviously did nothing wrong, this opens up the flood gates for everyone to be randomly banned just so they can show some numbers at the end of the month to the boss that they did their job and got their ban quota filled.

My advice, send a ban appel in saying there was no reson to ban you, you gotta get a answer from that.

 

 

 

do a "little" research on jagex before runescape, and people with the gower name (did I spell that right), specificly andrew.

 

 

 

email Jagex and not the messiges but email.

 

 

 

thats all I can think of unless you sue for bad costumer srvice.

It is long time known that some jagex employes randomly bann some legit and unlegit accounts just for showing some work at their boss. My self already seen this happening many times, solution:

 

 

 

START AUTOING.

 

 

 

If everybody start doing that when their account get unfairly banned eventualy they will start to be more carefull before banning people.

There is no ban appeal, non of us can use the ban appeal because there is no offense, not one single offense, we are not accused of anything, we were just permanently banned without any offenses thus none of us can use ban appeal.

 

 

 

To that last poster, I will NEVER ask people to start autoing or start cheating just because the company is acting badly. Strangely enough, I still care about RS eventhough I think that Jagex doesn't care much about it.

 

 

 

PS. life_mage12, before you get the idea "Oh, well send them a customer support inquery", that too is impossible, they have locked the customer support, none of us that were banned can send a customer support ticket anymore.

We have not been broken into and systems are very secure so it is very unlikely that that would happen anyway.

 

 

 

We are aware of this and are currently responding to all queries regarding this matter. You can tell your friends that they will need to be patient and we will respond to their queries.

I will disagree and state that they are not working on it until proven otherwise.

 

 

 

Already, confidence in this company as gone down quite a bit. Again, I have stated many times that a SIMPLE few letters replies would suffice for ALL of us and understand that they are REALLY working on it.

 

 

 

Now again, it is easier and easy for people that are not affected by this to take things "cool", when you are the target of a undiscriminate banning, we will see just how open minded you will be about it and how relaxed and cool you will be while waiting to see if you're getting back your five year old account.

 

 

 

By the way, that doesn't address at all the issues here, what do you think of their reactions? What do you think of their lack of personal communication? What do you think of the letter they are sending to users who were indiscriminatly banned?

Seriously though, jagex need to put in more ways for the customers to communicate with them, their customer service is very poor. If you dont get through and dont get a response saying why your account was banned you could even try sending in a letter to a trading standards watchdog or somthing.

it's been 4-5 days since i was perm muted without an appeal and for no reason. They are investgating my account, but I understand you Narc, wow, i can not speak in the game, which is equavilent to being perm banned because i can not trade, get quest help etc, this is horrible, im still waiting for a message that says it was a mistake and i know it was =(

Try getting a P mods attention about it and maybe they can get you in touch with a G mod. Here are some mods that I know:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sorry this happened to you. And for the people saying "they dont ban for no reason", sometimes things to do haywire and they do ban the wrong people. You would be pretty pissed if your account was wrongfully banned and you came here for help.

narcangel, will you shut up already? The message they gave to seanthourn was probably an auto message that they used so they could reinstate accounts ASAP. They posted a message(but only members can read it) saying they were working on it. That's all they can do so just... just.... well, I won't use those words. Be quiet, ya that's it.
