what people don't understand is we can change policies and stuff but no1 cares and eventually they get in trouble and hate the idea, but for some of us that get PERM MUTE FOR NO REASON LIKE ME, WITHOUT APPEAL IT'S LIKE WTF?!!?!?

and btw JAGEX is stricter than most schools about language and that kind of stuff? i mean perm muted, perm banned. why? why would a company perm bann players that PAY for it. and btw free players wow i feel bad for them. i dont even think their messages get looked at, i mean members do, we get automated emails back LMFAO

Jagex probably enforces language controls to keep some people from leaving. I know a lot of people would, but not that many decided not to come to runescape because they can't. Or maybe Jagex has one of those rare things called morals.

OK guys, this is moving away from the topic of the thread, let keep on topic here.

And I finaly got a reply today.

 

 

 

But hell, it's almost funny...

 

 

 

The reply was an automated reply, a reply you would send to someone who inquires about bannins... so it starts with "Dear adventurers...".

 

 

 

It tells me everything I wanna know about bannings.

 

 

 

Doesn't state anything about what I wrote them which I'll copy and paste below:

 

 

 

"Ok this is getting spooky, it says I'm banned from the forum? I haven't post anything recently and my posts have always been ok? What gives? I can't access ban appeal it's seems down and other people also seem to be banned, I saw some messages in the forum? Is everything ok? I didn't do anything at all here and my account was disabled. That was my original question to them. Doesn't it state that I cannot use ban appeal?

 

 

 

Guess what, their automated reply states I should use ban appeal :)

 

 

 

But it's not all bad news. I got a reply, that's good, first time I got a reply since last week. Also, this reply means that I can (and did) send a ticket again in which I restating CLEARLY my case so hopefuly they may -actualy- read my email now as I am quite sure they didn't even read my comment.

 

 

 

Now, I had stated from the start that I NEEDED A REPLY so I could know for SURE they were working on reviewing my case. It was not the case at all, they were no reviewing my case, they don't even know what the hell is going on.

They finaly baned my thread in the RS forum, but i was expecting that one, I was also expecting that they would never bother to post a response in it.

 

 

 

By now, since we are midweek and it been almost two weeks now, I am also expecting never to recover my account.

Keep in mind guys, this is total bull. Do you notice something? "You were caught in the breach of"... blah blah blah. Read that one very carefuly, now tell me, what the hell rule is he talking about? None, actually, he doesn't talk about specific rule he even goes as far as using plural... rules.

 

 

 

Pretty interesting because, never, anyone, ever, told me which rule or RULES I broke. Very interesting, at least now, I know this is all crap and I can rest with this, I prefer knowing these bastard made it all up, pretending that it was our fault when I know something happened at their office and had the balls to hide it and put on the player's back even making a little statement in the Rant section pretending that they would actually review the accounts.

 

 

 

They talk about the terms of the game which I am obligated to follow, they are also obligated to follow these same rules, never I have been told what I was accused of (and no you never get to see the proof either) or never gave me a single chance of defending myself.

 

 

 

Now, I know for certain I did nothing, but that's ok, I knew this was total bull from the start. This is the kind of practice at Jagex from now on you may expect.

I was recently banned for a whole week for some noob reporting me for macroing because i lagged, and since i didnt respond to his "mage lv?" questions he assumed i was macroing, and reported me..

 

 

 

But your problem seems to be a simply account disabled problem, On the Runescape main browser window, go to the recover a locked account post.

 

 

 

Your account may have been locked because Jagex believed that someone other than you was attempting to get into your account.

 

 

 

I had this sort of trouble awhile back when someone sent me a keylogger, and my account was locked because someone attempted to get into my account, so see if thats the problem, and since there is no offence in your account that is posted in the appeal an offence/ban, then I wouldn't know why your account is locked

 

 

 

Edit:omg that is bull!! they have to at least say what rtule you broke! you better keep sending them messages till that at least state which rule was broken!

right, i think it is so wrong and i feel so bad for u narcangel, swear u should pursure this legally, they should show you why they banned you if you are a paying customer

i might be completely off by i think you can pursue it legally on the terms of 'refusing service' which means any paying customer can buy whatever they want if there is a store/business, if they didnt do anything wrong.

My account banning has nothing to do with them thinking someone else hijacked it. I wish it was the case, but it's not the case.

 

 

 

Please read the note I posted previously carefuly, note that it doesn't state anywhere that my account was reviewed like they promised all people affected by their "weird" mass account banning two weeks ago.

 

 

 

Keep in mind he's talking about RULES and not a rule. Interesting, I guess that not only I broke a rule which I still no idea which one and no, I didn't break any rule. But, according to him, I broke many rules, interesting!

 

 

 

Also, never does he state nor does he seems to be interested in telling me which rules I broke, strange, no? I mean, I'm obviously a bad boy here, I broke a bunch of rules, maybe too many rules to list them, yes, that must be it, I must have broken 50 rules all at once.

 

 

 

The anger is starting to really kick in now. So many things I've lost, my easter ring, my customes, money, armor and the rest can always be replaced of course, but not the unique items.

 

 

 

Hey, I'm more willing to take responsibility for my action, I'd be more than ok if they told me which rule(s) I broke and being able to look or partially look at the evidence so I could CONTEST it.

 

 

 

I know by now that something is really weird, something happened at their offices and they decided to cover it all up, pass the buck along on players that had "tainted" accounts. Because I have always maintained that my account wasn't virgin of offenses, I had previous offenses and I had correctly myself so never I would be in a situation where I would ever be accused of anything again. I had make the effort, a great effort and the reward I got was this.

 

 

 

So, I do partially blame myself, I am thinking that, if my account would have been virgin this would have probably never happened.

 

 

 

And yes, I have been accused many times of macroing when not answering someone with the very annoying "level" questions. I refuse to answer level questions, I refuse to answer stupid repeat questions, I have the right to ignore anyone in this game and not being accused of cheating because I ignore this or that person. Even after I have seen "I'm gona report you for macroing" I still will not answer them because I won't give in to this crappy form of blackmailing. I have put confidence in the detection system, presuming that it would simply toss over the report as it would prove that I was playing and simply ignoring the scum that was bothering me.

 

 

 

I will never change this, I will keep on ignoring people that I prefer to ignore. I have, on the other hand, lost faith in Jagex, not in the system itself but in the people that are in command post. I now realize that emotion goes into this and that cheating can be not only on the player's side but on the workers at Jagex. Of course, I have no proof to back my claim, I go buy this entire two last weeks and put 2 and 2 together and come up with this dark conclusions.

 

 

 

1. My account was never reviewed has promised.

 

2. I was never accused with any specific rules I was suppose to have broke.

 

3. I was never given a chance to defend myself for there was no ban appeal.

 

4. 95% of my queries where left unanswered and took repeated amount of emails before I would get 2 replies.

 

 

 

These are basic facts that speaks a bunch by their own.

 

 

 

I leave to you all to make up your own minds about these people that work for ...us?

 

 

 

I still wish all of you the best of luck and never to be in my situation again. My account dated back to 2001, it is dead.

 

 

 

And thanks for the offer for the rune axe, I have started another account many months ago, I was using it as a second so it's already moving along nicely at being almost level 70 now. But I will, most probably, have this anger build up more and more until I finally quit the game which I should have done the moment I realized I would never get my account back.

These kind of stories just make me want to quit. You put so much time and effort in a character... and it can be destroyed in seconds because of stupid mistakes. And you're just powerless, nothing to be done about it.

 

 

 

Instead of thinking "yay, I'm gonna have some fun playing RS tonight", I'm starting to get scared when I log in. Being kind to people (identifying herbs for example) can get you a black mark (happened to muskee, who posted this a few days ago), a stupid mistake by Jagex could get you banned, ignoring silly, threadbare and impolite questions can get you marked,... Yipes.

 

 

 

I don't mind following the rules and I don't mind that rulebreakers get banned, but this randomness scares me.

I was thinking today, if they had a tiny bit of heart. They could have allowed me to empty my bank, transwer everything into my second and then reban my account as they are so bent on banning it without any reason.

 

 

 

That way, I could have said that Jagex had a little heart at least. That would have given me a good start for my second and would have made the entire thing a bit more acceptable.

 

 

 

But of course, I then woke up and slapped myself silly :)

heejunmoon4, I can understand your frustration of course, a permanent mute is as much as a death sentence as a perm ban. There's not much you can do anymore without being able to talk. Trades are complicated as hell, people all think you are impolite, you wanna have friends, you can't. You lose all interest in playing because the game doesn't have the same appeal anymore.

 

 

 

Have they stated an offense or are you like me, nothing accused of?

Ok guys... I'm not too sure how to say this because it's pretty darn hard to understand but I got my account back, two weeks after it was permanently banned.

 

 

 

I got a bunch of emails, a bunch of queries in my rs inbox, the emails setoff my checking my rs inbox where i noticed that half of the replies I got were about me breaking either 1 rule or many rules (!) and that my account would stay banned and the other half from other mods stating that a system error had occured and that because my account was already flag in the past with a ban I hit with the error and that I had not done any offenses. My account was reinstated without the very gross letter most people got about Jagex giving them a second chance but it's pretty much the same actually for me when I think about it.

 

 

 

So... everything is back to normal, albeit, I'm thinking that my account is more fragile than ever now.

 

 

 

For those who are still waiting to be unbanned, there is hope people, it took long enough but I am going to thank the people or person who finaly unbanned me.

thats really wierd.....Hopefully it can be fixed. If you were gonna get real serious you could take legal action. or theres an email to jagex called [email protected] that might be worth a try.

Hopefuly, hee, if they find they have nothing on you, they will get that mute lifted. I had lost all hopes, I never thought it possible to ever recover my account, so since I did recover it, there is still hope for you of course.
