  1. Well after years of playing I finally got my first dragon drop. Not quite as profitable as a few years ago when I was actually trying to get one. I also managed to get 12 blue charms that task. Too bad I forgot to pay my membership for another month so I have to wait a few days for the Bpay thingo to go through till I can play again #-o.
  2. This "guide" has seriously derailed my thoughts for about 10 minutes. My mind has run around in circles trying to search for logic, yet logic seems not to exist. Please do. Please so very much do. The very muchness for which I wish for this to be done can't possibly be understood by any human brain. Possibly it would grant access to the depths of your confused mind, or at least provide mine with a laugh.
  3. Hey, I was just wondering where the best hell hounds are for slaying. Im at the place for family crest and its horribly slow, where should I head? Are there reverents around in that dungeon, i think its the one near edgeville?
  4. Cheers I guess I'll just buy some broad bolts and see how they go
  5. Hey, I just became a member again after like a year and a half break from the game. I decided to hit slayer up a bit, got a black demon task, so naturally I'll range them. I can't be bothered getting a cannon. As I've been out of the game for quite some time I was wondering what are the best damage/price bolts I should buy? Should I go for iron/steel like I did with arrows back in the day or go for these new broad bolt things?
  6. So wrong, that has to be so very wrong. There is no logic that man may name his own that would permit those levels to exist in a drink. I highly doubt they are serving an energy drink in >3L bottles. I guess maybe its meant to be mg? What size is a serving? Energy drinks don't do anything for me. I've previously only ever had them as a mixer for alcohol. I tried them whilst studying for my exams this semester, mix of v and redbull and didn't notice anything, I still felt just as tired. I don't mind the taste, but quite frankly they are a lot of money for no effect. The only time I consumed a vast amount was in combination with jaga and the amount of sugar they contain just gets sickening.
  7. I agree with cave men wearing fur, and people with no other way to keep warm. Fur is hella warm, like extremely fricken warm. Better then a lot of synthetics out there today. Fur now exists really as a fashion item, apparently fake fur is just tacky. But I find fashion to the most part ridiculous. Yeah there is nothing wrong with a bit of pride in presentation. But the things people adorn surpass absurdity. I am of the opinion that killing for no real reason is wrong. Assuming we are the owners of the lives of all animals, is the same as the prehistoric and very historic principle of might is right. But to be honest fur is rather insignificant to the amount of damage we do to animals. Deforestation destroys like 13 million hectares of the worlds forest per annum, a lot of which is from un-inhabited regions which would be killing billions of living organisms. Every powerplant is spewing out crap that gets caught in water ways. Plastic bags, and all manner of rubish suffocate animals a plenty, even those pretty dolphins everyone loves. BUT OH NOES THAT WRETCH IS WEARING A COAT WHERE THE ANIMAL DIED WITH OUT KNOWING, DIE! DIE! I MUST NOW WRITE ABOUT IT ON THE INTERNETS WHERE MY COMPUTER IS WASTING SO MUCH POWER BUT WHO CARES THEN ILL GO PRINT OUT FLIERS THAT HAVE COME FROM FORESTS PUTTING PICTURES OF AN ABJECT NATURE! PEOPLE SHALL KNOW MY RAGE, AS LOGIC DOES NOT REIGN IN MY MIND Seriously, worry about something more worthwhile.
  8. These two lines are kinda stuck out. as well as that for a whole different reason. Two years went by without you actually talking to this girl, but you thought she was perfect the entire time? Throughout your story you haven't really noted anything that is that special about her, except someone was generous to her when they were dishing out good looks. All I can say is careful man. Don't make any women your goddess. Respect and worship are two entirely different things. There are times when you should praise them like crazy, and sure as hell being a gentleman is a good way to go about things, but your obsession seems like something that you yourself created by spending too much time in your fantasies. I'm sure she loves you giving her all that attention, but its the attention she is loving and the fact she doesn't need to do anything in return. If I were you I would probably say what you truly think, but then leave the boyfriend subject all together. But I'd prolly just say I thought he was a [puncture], and then move on. You can't be the one just talking about her relationship problems unless you just want to be friends. Who knows in a few years time when you've both come out from horrid relationships it might provide an alright night or week, and perhaps that could turn to something more. But in the now, its not doing you too many favours if your still this caught up on her. I have a friend that loves to be doted on, and pretty much swerves the conversation as to how awesome she is any moment she can. She flirts with guys with no intention other then to play. She went out with some guy for two years and personally I think he is a bloody legend for putting up with that. I can't say that is what this girl is like, but you never know. If you think you have a shot with this, tee up and take a few swings. But don't spend too long, perhaps look elsewhere for a little while. Hell man its been three years, but on the other hand you seem to have gotten a lot closer to her within the last 4 days. So thats in the right direction. You might look at her differently if you spend a bit of time with other girls. If she is still "your one", you may at least be able to try it again with a bit of experience. I want to know why I go checking up on runescape after being out of it for a year or so and I end up posting in this thread. Odd, so very odd.
  9. Abiding rules sure doesn't make you a better person for it. All I've read from you is a lust for power and a will to use it against people. You refer to people as "little" and insignificant because of age difference, but more so as you think you can exploit that difference to your advantage. Then you give us this example of you in a real life situation. Someone tries to reason yet you don't listen and damage them more for having a point of view? Does that not make you unreasonable? So placing yourself in a situation where you are borrowing the influence of others, for supposed just causes, you get your say and it is final? People like you scare me. People that take what they are given as gospel. The ones that let restrictions overrule human emotions, no questions asked. Where commonsense is left in the shadows of the guide book. You may not have a desire to be "famous", but you sure as hell have some hell of an ego problem, and a need to feel respected irrelevant of more human connections. Back on topic, I haven't received any black marks. I don't see how breaking any of the rules would benefit playing the game for me. Perhaps a little more freedom on the language allowed, but there is no point trying to pass the filters for the heck of it. If I were a programmer it would probably be different, it would be kind of a challenge to make an undetectable bot. But I wouldn't put it to any malicious means. Downloading one has never had any apeal. As with buying gpees, I think it would make the whole prospect of ones wealth all that less rewarding. And who the hell would trade a beer for a few pixels of several colours and the number 1mil, crazy, crazy world. The only things IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve done in the past were block f2p banners when I had an old computer which lagged, (reason I played rs), and drop traded a set of black(t) to my 10 defense skiller, which the only skill I leveled was defense ironically enough.
  10. An estimate of at least 750 tipiters would probably not be off, I dare so say 1000 wouldn't be. We won, no, we slaughtered. There wasn't enough competition. Now its just backstabbing, I guess I'm out. GG
  11. Thats the fricken reason why people think rs is filled with nerds. Jonny: But I don't understand Billy, where are you coming from? Billy: Use your eyes man! We are nerds!
  12. Well it looks like I'll have to log back into runescape for this. It appears that it should provide a great deal of fun. EDIT:Although it means getting up at 5:30 am after a last night in me hometown before I fly overseas later that day, which means I'm going to be sporting quite a substantial hangover, if I've even reached that stage yet... Then again that only makes it all the more worthwhile.
  13. You could have picked them up before he was able to see them. That seems like a pretty big something.
  14. That was the old concept of animal law... They actually used the past tense meaning hunter may not be a big focus at all.
  15. Some one is obviously worried about the time they put into the game and how people view them.
  16. Thats ignorance trying to manifest itself in humor for you. Hint, it failed. Although this incident involved a death, "wow an old person died of a heart attack call in the extreme abnormality department", it was an unfortunate happening in a common airport situation. When I was at heathrow last year people were treated so much worse. The problem was the fog, completely different from lack of staff and not within the power of humans to control at the moment. But all planes were to be grounded. Thousands of passengers were packed into large tents which from experience took 3 hours to reach the end. "Boo Hoo" you say. This was a necessary step to getting ones ticket reissued on another flight. The problem was no one was told anything. Everyone was just directed to stand in these tents as soon as possible if they had to make a flight. One could ask a staff member why we were to stand in these tents and the answer was one of no substance. It wasn't till an hour and a half that the fog was the reason was announced. Now I'm quite able of standing in a line for three hours, but there was a frail old lady with all her luggage expected to stand there, she could barely push her trolley. Not one staff member did [cabbage] about it. Customer service is non existent. It was only the kindness of a lady that brought attention to her. But this treatment isn't restricted to that of which is the monstrosity of Heathrow. Governments have screwed airports up completely. The paying customer is looked upon as nothing more then dirt. In the states a stray sentence, or one searching for a laugh is looked upon so gravely. Terrorists have fricken won. Garr I've had this rant before and wont start it again. But seriously its not Australia its the fricken world. We don't know how to treat each other. We care about ourselves and little else. We are given ideas of what it is that we need to be something. So we pursue them regardless of who is in the way. Garr this is sounding so corny. That last part is, I'm just going to stop writing, no one will read it anyway.
  17. Personally I can't get anything out of an interview like this. I'd like to say nice interview and all, but really it was pretty straightforward. It also did nothing about the whole strength situation. As far as the honesty thing goes as if its true. That one line about fire whatchahisname was something similar to "his stats are rubish, why should I care about him taking number one", quite obviously stats mean something, specially strength. This topic has brought some insight to apparent rs friendships as well. This gem was for somereason missed. I don't think I need to elaborate much. Its things like this that keeps me checking these boards. Its things like this that makes me love people.
  18. It appears that you sir have definitely validated your level of intelligence, or more precisely lack thereof. I read because I enjoy it. As I watch movies or play video games. A book scratches places other media can't reach. There are books out there that bring things to life that by no other means could ever exist. Words can create worlds that seem so much more believable then what one views on a screen. Characters become so believable because it is not up to acting, but ones mind to excite the presented language into acceptable circumstances. I pity the fool that reads for an image, and more so one that omits reading for the same reason. Validating intelligence. Pwah!
  19. For the simple answer, there is no way that I could possibly vote for Rudd. He is too much of a politician. Of course the vacant faces, and flaming comments should line up after I produced something that seems so idiotic, but I just detest him. The way he doesn't stand firm for anything. I wouldn't put him past selling his own mother if it will reflect well in the polls. Does that mean I'll go for Howard? Lets face it, he has been solid. Not amazing, but better then anything the opposition has put forth in my memory. I'm only a year over voting age, so that doesn't involve too many examples. Yet there is nothing he has provided us with that is overly enticing. Only the fact that he is not Rudd. Personally, the interest rate rise was necessary. Ok, yes, it proved the RBA operates independently from the government, which is good. It's operating as it should be. But it was necessary because inflation was getting out of hand. Sure, CPI Inflation is at 1.9%, which is well between the RBA's inflationary target of 2-3%. However, it's a false indicator. Underlying core inflation was well above that figure, nearing the borderline of 3% as a result of some one-off health care changes, I think? Ok, 6 interest rate rises since the last election. Howard promised to "keep interest rates low." He made a promise, and broke it. Now, one can argue that since the RBA acts independently from the government, party leaders should refrain from making such promises due to their limited influence on monetary policy. If so, why make the promise? Simply, to win votes. It makes you wonder about the apparent politically unattached nature of the RBA. There is no way that the rise could not have a direct effect on the election. As far as the promise, Howard was incredibly short sighted to have made it. He doesn't have the authority to make promises like that. But hey, he is still only a politician I guess. As far as the rise, I think its necessary. Too many people are just buying anything they want now. It may not so much be the new house, but the two cars and entertainment super system. You see adds on the television, about 18th months interest free, so on so forth, so why not deck out the lounge room with a sofa set and a flat screen tv. Then in 18 months time people still haven't paid the money and the interest is up even higher. People need to smarten the heck up. But this of course increase the problem of the homeless, which is a lot higher then I expected in this country. We are overpopulating cities far too much, and then there are service problems. WAH, this is getting too far away from the election and I need to go study statics and dynamics. Quite frankly I'm interested in politics for the few weeks before an election. After that I really don't have too much time for it. There are so many other things in the world that actually capture my interest that giving up time for the bull excrement that is politics is reserved for when I have a chance to do something about it.
  20. Its the kid's parents with the money mostly. I would love there to be no rules, but the sad fact is for Jagex to pull in the amount they are at the moment they will continue having rules. It allows people to have a sense of security, and let's face it, as much as it hurts to admit it, runescape is now heavily a kids game, one 17 year old playing for several years with amazing stats isn't all that different to five or so 10 year olds getting their folks to pay for a few months. If runescape is considered safe to parents, they will more likely accept their kids wasting their lives on it, and keeping them from under their feet.
  21. As far as an exp high score board I don't really see any reason why it shouldn't exist. A f2p board would only encourage f2pers to stay f2p and would be negative for jagex in relation to their subscriptions. Personally I think it would be interesting, I spent a fair amount of time f2p and it is a lot harder to level most skills in f2p and it would separate f2pers efforts from those of the members. Though as pleasant as it would be to have it I can't see it eventuating.
  22. For the most part your article, whilst running mainly inside the bounds of truth, points out things that are either known to those with a problem, or issues which lie absent in the minds of ones which the article targets. This is completely out of context with the rest of your article, and quite frankly is a wth statement. Why would anyone with a sane mind want to experience a game which is full of life's complications. The whole idea behind a game is to escape from reality, and do things which surpass all physical constraints of this world. It is the ability to step into a foreign environment for your pleasure, whether that be the an intense challenge or waiting around watching a demon die. This article was about the lacking of maturity in runescape, you whined about the absence of blood and gore. Then you come out with this. I indeed feel sorry for you if you experience blood drenched zombies day in day out, and for all your English teachers past and present and any aspirations they may have had.
  23. Thank god I live in Victoria. That is ridiculous. Well actually its great. I love this sort of journalism. They create hyperboles out of anything. You have kids this age strapped with a gun in Sudan, which is expected to work. People killing all the time, education is a hope there. You may find something about it on page 10 of a newspaper in a particularly slow news time. Then you get crap like this, its just fantastic. "we've got to stay positive for his sake." I'd laugh if I wasn't so angry about how stupid some people are. Also how dare they liken RuneScape to alcohol.
  24. But on the upside having two crystal bows is incredibly handy. You can keep one on 10/10 and degrade the other. Roughly estimate how many shots you have taken with the 10/10 bow, when you think its between 200-250 switch to the other bow till that degrades then equip the 10/10 again. Rinse and repeat.
