  1. I'd like to agree with that but at the end of the day it's all about the bottom line. A lot of people at my work had their hours slashed and given to people who: 1. Have no concept of upselling 2. Have barely any product knowledge 3. Are ineffecient at a lot of tasks 4. Lack effective custom-service skills Reason? We were too expensive to employ for the total sales being made :uhh: I find that hard to believe given that the week before she turned up my store hit 80K for the week. And since she's been there it has struggled to hit 40k at the end of the week. And when you have a 9.9% wage budget (so for a 40k week that's only 4k allowed on wages). She was hitting around 7k for wages, even with the cheapies because they simply couldn't make the sales, upsell or even answer basic questions about products so a consumer could make up their own mind #-o On the plus - She's now been transfered to another store and our sales are on the rise again. Slowly but surely my store will be back to the 80k mark per week :)

I'm fairly certain it's Weslan or something like that - I never really paid attention to the name much :P
  3. Introduce a new island which was their initial factory floor prior to Isla Sorna being used :D Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna are after all in the "Five Deaths" island chain and so far only 2 have been used ;)
  4. That was my take on it as well, I would've refered to it as the Matrix Trilogy as that's what currently exists. Sarcasm wouldn't been more towards.. "What about a Matrix quadrilogy - that'd be a good installment" or something to that effect.
  5. Not at all. That and it simply sounds like a way to allow people to be less lazy.

[cabbage] 41st minute try :uhh: Half time was on before QLD lost the ball.
  8. Old indeed - that pics like what, 2 or 3 years old now? Get some action shots!
  9. Own a 1991 Holden Commodore Wagon Deluxe. Wouldn't mind a SWB GU Patrol like this girl here... But since none were released in AU - just a bit impossible :(

He should go with the full on handle-bar style. Blues would be able to walk over the line as queensland will be too busy laughing their arses off
  11. Like what? The Animatrix covers the backstory; and anything that follows the third will just suck as the war is over :-? Neo died, trinity died, everyone in zion is dead. What could they possibly do now? Unplug everyone from the matrix - very unlikely.

QUEENSLANDER!! And I'm actully suprised at that Bubsa, never would've expected anyone outside of Australia (mainly Queensland and NSW for that matter) to watch it. You back the right team :P
  13. Wouldn't get many people in to see it either. The last one was a bit of a stetch. What's going to happen - another 3 with scott trying to take over the world and kill both Austin and Dr Evil... just no :uhh:
  14. I'm actually yet to finish Half Life 2, other than that - all complete.
  15. This is always the fun thing about English - context determines whether or not a word is in the right place :P And I'll agree with tzone on this one. While 'right' could work, and technically isn't incorrect, it's out of place :P Correctly is more suitable for the situation :
  16. Well, I kind of agree with Rud about nuclear power. But since Australia has the biggest supply of Uranium on the planet - it's a bit of a waste to not utilise it for our own power. And it's not really a matter of the lesser of two evils. Well it is, but in many ways it isn't when you take into consideration where you're at in life, a student. And Costello's budget is a sorry attempt at vote-grabbing. After so many years of getting shafted by him, the people he was trying to buy off didn't fall for it like he hoped. When it was released I had to struggle not to laugh at it. The entire thing wreaked of "community pay-offs" it was almost insulting to the intelligence of the public. Sometimes I think a child could run this country better than 99% of politians.
  17. Nuclear power would be great, but it won't turn up under Howard either. He promises a lot and genreally does the opposite - remember the GST? As for my beef against Howard - everything. The only people who have gotten any benifit from Howard while he's been in power have been the rich suits of the country. Every one else always gets the short end of the stick. Howard wouldn't know that of course since he's like some of the admins of this forum: totally out of touch with the people. If he actually had to survive on the income of your average working-class citizen he'd soon realise what a raw deal he's been given them all for a long, long time.
  18. It's a lot easier if you just read this. English taught in schools fails to actually teach practical application of punctuation to a point where people end up using whatever they think is the correct mark #-o
  19. What's your point? If you read past the obvious you'll notice that it actually says a lot more than what you'd think.
  20. Stuff I don't want my rl friends to know I'm not going to tell to some random, faceless nub on the ineternet.
  21. Noun genders can DIAF; they never made sense to me when I learnt German. @assassin_696: Text speak. There's some stuff on the internet somewhere about some English schools, i think it was English anyways, who were allowing the use of text speak in English Exams of all places :uhh: With exceptions like that, it's all going downhill. As for English, I personally believe that the only particulary hard thing about it is the use of commas and semi-colons.
  22. Yea, that shot of the intact egg was asking for a sequal, but it never arrived *shrug* As for movies which deserve sequals... I'm drawing blank. Backdraft could go with one... although Ladder 49 kinda works for me. Just replace John Travolta with William Baldwin, and bingo, most of the plot works alright.
  23. What a campion, and props to the dude who escaped a bank robert wit ha bike, that's almost as good :
  24. You don't actually have to use MySQL - but it's the easiest of the options for people starting out. Oracle should be what you aim for eventually, especially if you're aiming to do this kind of thing on a professional level. If not... well just stick with MySQL :) But for now, go here and download the MySQL Community Server. Extract it all to some temporary location, install it. I suggest installing it as a service, so you don't have to keep starting the server whenever you want to do database related scripting work, etc. I think the later builds allow you to select to install as a service when you go with custom install. But if not... open up a command prompt once install and type: C:\> mysqld --install C:\> NET START MySql I think it's mysqld anyways. Nothing you can't google if you get stuck :) That should pretty much be all you have to do. And there's plenty of DBA apps out there you can use if you're not a fan of using the command line to do everything ;)
