  1. Can't remember how far into the quest you need to get, But I do know you definately need either a dramen or Lunar staff to use them Best of luck!
  2. RSOF is Runescape Official Forums. If F2P, watch members post what they are after, and then message them in game.
  3. Defenders are worth it in my opinion. Rune defender gives you +20 to stab, +19 to Slash and +18 to crush attacks. I know of nothing else you can hold in the shield slot that is comparable. the way I look at it if you don't need a shield (depending upon what you are killing, the defender is the way to go!
  4. I'd save it for when you are a member, there's a hell of a lot more to buy in members
  5. I recommend always go to the highest level master you can. duradel is actually quite good...particularly if you use your Guthans for healing. you tend to get larger quantities per task with Duradel. which if food isn't an issue, means less trips, which means quicker Slayer XP!
  6. I'm at ape atoll now (Currently Level 74), and From Level 70 onwards, it's quite effective training
  7. South west of the gnome agility training area....and if you've got the farming level you can have your own magic tree there too
  8. I have found Trolls, aberrant specters and Cave horrors all to be quite good for Herb seed drops in the past. To be honest not sure about ice trolls Vs. "normal" trolls, but for me, using trollheim teleport distance to a bank isn't bad at all. Best of luck count
  9. LEvel 50 in a few hours....big deal. don't forget Level 75 is roughly 10% of the XP needed for level 99 in anything, and even allowing for the fact that in most skills XP per hour can increase as levels increase, it's still a bloody big ask IMHO. Slightly Off topic, but perhaps a better Subject line on the original post might encourage more people to have a look at the thread something like "Level 99 in a week possible?" or similar?
  10. Well i've been killing cyclopes for about the last hour...world 110, haven't had a problem getting monsters to kill
  11. If you are patient there are still many people buying cooked at 1kea
  12. I found the "5 hop" worked best for me....I'd recommend try a few one at a time, and when that is Boring you to tears (won't take long), try 5 at a time. For me, I found it to be the best time Vs cost way to go Best of luck Count
  13. My understanding is if you sell to the charter traders on Brimhaven with Karamja gloves, you will get 112gp ea
  14. Now if you are planning on mining gold, you might want to check things out a little more carefully. Why...because Gold ore sells quickly at a reasonable price "on the street".Many people focus on mining gold ore and selling at as their main "moneymaker". It might be easier and quicker to stock up once you can mine gold, and sell the ore to another player.
  15. I'm pretty sure if you go "one at a time" you need 233 runite ore. If you go "5 at a time" you need 263 runite ore. I found 5 at a time and hop, worked best for me
  16. It is worth finding out about...and getting the Karamja gloves, purely for the purchase price of the onyx stone. 300K tokkul without the gloves (I think), 260k if you have them. Most people I've spoken to reckon that unless you are selling runite ore with the gloves, the "ore store" isn't really worth it, but I haven't had a close look at that myself. Once you do get your onyx, have a look on the tip it forums (Marketplace Smithing/crafting) and/or the RS forums. Many high level crafters trade onyx for furies for a fee (I've seen 10k to 25k bandied about). You can also post yourself on the Tip it forums (marketplace Smithing/Crafting), and someone might contact you to arrange a deal that works for all. I've made a few furies in the past for fellow tipiters who've posted on that forum, but unfortunately am F2p at the moment, so can't help you with that part. cheers count
  17. 3 portals per room is correct....however you can have multiple portal chambers (I have two)
  18. If you are serious about slayer, Kalphites are one of the best Cannon tasks there is. I recommend get a cannon, and off to the kalphites with cannon and Guthans (and one or two super anti pots). Then....I've found the room full of (I think) Level 85 kalphites, with the 3 respawns of potato cactus absolutely rips through your slayer task. take a little bit of food for when guthans isn't quite co-operating, and fill up with potato cactus before you leave, IF you don\t want the potato cactus for yourself, they are (I believe) fairly quick sellers. It's still an ok task without Cannon, but significantly slower. Best of luck, whether you choose cannon or not :-) Count
  19. Don't discount Spinning flax into bowstrings. whislt not the quickest crafting Xp, it is cheap, can make money, and is relatively easy. If you've done throne of miscellania, you can use "managing thy kingdom" to get the flax. what i did. Calculated how many bowstrings i'd need for 99 fletching (was about 55k at the time). Left MTK on flax until I had enough flax. Would try and spin 2 or 3k of flax every now and again I wasn't in a rush, took my time, and got a lot of bowstrings (25k still to fletch), and got that crafting XP. Also glass is quite good. Mix it up between glass and Bowstrings and it won't take you long at all to get to 63!!! Best of luck Count
  20. thats 85 crafting needed BTW.....if you want to make your own. Clockwork cats are tradeable, and from memory, I think one will set you back about 10 to 15k Cheers Count
  21. What the knowledgebase says: Note: The better the quality of your Woodcutting hatchet or machete, the quicker you will be able to cut logs from trees, this also applies to the dragon axe, which has a faster Woodcutting speed than rune axes. and that is all they say. It is my experience that it is nowhere near 50% better, Howrver it is definitely better than the rune axe
  22. It might also be worth considering making other things from Glass, I do a mix of predominantly glass vials (stocking up for when/if I hit herblore), and Glass orbs. Doing glass orbs, charging then making air battlestaves, makes a bit of money, further crafting xp for the staves, and is reasonable mage xp too! I prefer the slower, but for me more useful route Best of luck Count
  23. I didn't know you could play Runescape for nearly a year and then figure out you didn't like it.. perhaps the question should be "Do you currently enjoy it?" I've had many friends Lose enjoyment, stop playing for a few months and then come back to the fold. the important bit. It's a game, enjoy it.
  24. can only think of one question that need be asked. Do you enjoy it? If yes...play If not...don't
  25. I'll be in game in about 10 minutes. If you haven't got one by then, happy to help out :) Cheers Count
