It happens to us all :) you had a good run, and I really think these boards have helped a lot of people to learn graphics. You played a part in that! Don't stay way forever ....just do things when you feel like it.

Actually gimp does have a windows version, but yeah try a program like pixia. Anyway paint is fine for pixel sigs

The nice part about such programs is that anything is adjustable. I still like the feel of the red better, but I would say that comparing this to my clan banner now shows very little resemblance. Ie. the resemblance based just on color scheme was not overwhelming.

Well as it turned out I already had the skeleton started...so that determined the color scheme. They gave me no other guidance so I went with it. In fact, I wish they have given me a link to their forums. They are a rather odd shade of blue.....which had I known I would have changed the red cape to some matching color and buit things around that. But it is not too late. Might try selective color switching! I am not limited to such colors, however, as my samples show :) But I do find that red and black often create a fairly evil aura...which they seemed to favor. As to the same style? I am a bit mystified on that. One is an embossed silhouette while the other is a shaded picture. And I suppose that it is invetible that some of my shading looks the same...it is me shading it! As to the border. Yeah, wasn't too sure about that myself. But it is alrighyt. I didn't want anything that would detract too much.

There is nothing infeasible about limits to sig size. The whole concept of a sig is a limited, non-obtrusive indicator of personality, style, etc. I vote for Nox. Just because a render and touchup is not that hard either, and of the two, I like the range one better...not much...but better.

Since you are named the noble noobies of runescape, does that mean you have a sense of humor? So for instance if I did a theme of some guys in bronze with cabbage that would be arlight?

It could be done...thing is it would detract from the dark feel. And I would have tried some kind of bg...but I lost the original layered version of my drawing....so hard to place stuff behind it and make it look clean. Doh. Ah well.

I am lazy...but not THAT lazy :) I just did theirs with that one because it fit as well as anything else I could come up with, and wanted that one used. I might have an idea or two for this one. But did you consider a pixel banner? I could see that fitting a clan called rs noobs....but let me think it over :)

Finally finished an old piece for this one, with some new shading, etc. Drawing by me, and the letters for the initials were custom done too in coreldraw. let me know what ya think.

I custom made the lettes for the initials and shaded more on the figure...have to finish that other arm though. Put a border, etc.

DKU, I never finished this one, was for twiceborn, one mil contetst, but he was not into morbid stuff. Anyway, that is about as dark a knight as I can think of, and I hate to waste it. Mind if I use that image and put it with a clan logo ? Doh he is banned...figures. Well I will use it anyway out of sheer laziness, and if he doesn't like it...ah well...shouldn't get banned.

IT is a time-honored traditionhere to not flame up a guys post because of his prices. Soon we will have to dig up the old "professioal" debate at this rate. Leave the guy alone. He has the right to make money on his sigs. If that is all he is after, good luck to him. If he finds he can't make it here, he will deal with that. If he were ripping or something else, sure, call him on it, but charging high prices is not a violation. (well actually selling sigs at all is a violation of jagex rules...real life benefits for rs money. They have told us that before..

Not all sigs made in ps ,etc. are just filters. but I have no gripe with pixel sigs. At least they encourage freehand skills. But I still like a more refined drawing myself. (I know, not a huge surprise given my usual trend). But witty, Orchiare, Drunken T, etc. now mastermix or whatever all do good freehand work that is not pixelly in nature. AS a whole I find pixel sigs entertaining, but I think the vast majority use washed out colors. Eve's kbd on and Jeppoz merchant ones are two of the better ones to use bold colors.

Are you using sub black? The minimalistic approach was on purpose...but it looks better with the heave black border that was swallowed into some themes. I am thinking of a fix for that, but it is not primarily meant for these baords.
