  1. Please give your thoughts on this banner for SOS, Sisters of Scape. They are an all ladies clan. Here is the site for their forums: I made some more pinkish versions too but they liked the purple as their main page will have a purple theme (well I assume that is why, not sure :) ) http://s4.invisionfree.com/Sisters_of_S ... hp?act=idx Siggy version
  2. Pretty swamped today but hope to do one soon. For now here is an oldy. http://www.deviantart.com/view/4748503/ (the poem is easier to read in the text below the image )
  3. A. to start a sig shop with a partner. B.to have a bigger name, to earn money.. etc. many reasons duh Read the people that replied that already have sig shops. Ask them if u really want your question to be answered. *sigh* These are legitimate questions. Who said I wasn't interested? But if you won't answer questions why should I jump on board? And next time if you want to play some manner of demi-god on your post and dictate what people can and can't post when on topic, then perhaps state that at the beginning. a. If your trying to get a bigger name to earn money, why wouldn't the big name keep his name and not split? b. As for starting a shop with a partner you still didn't say what you would actually DO. (Other than split the money, you did say that). And don't send me pm's when you already answered me on your post.

lol oiler, there are no shading programs. Anyway, thanks keiphus, saved me from posting it myself :) Check out the brush shading. It will give you basic concepts which you can apply to both pixel and to brushing. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=87976

I bet wacom cintiq would work for ya :) but then...it is a mere 1500 bucks for the small one lol.
  12. tttia replied to tttia's topic in Art and Media
I like the small one, never tried the large one. I know some who have had both (one at work, etc.) and they prefer the smaller one at times. A lot of them wind up using only a portion of the large one (software limiting.) I don'treally find detail work to be a problem on the small one...but maybe I dont do enough details :)
  13. Do you really find pen tooling better than say porting from illustrator?
  14. tttia replied to tttia's topic in Art and Media
do you actually like the larger tablets?
  15. I am always overjoyed to see more tablet users out there. For all of you free hand artists, are you using a mouse or a tablet? Or better yet, the so called holy grail, the drawable lcd (more common now with tablet pc's)
  16. YEah, I guess I should say i am aware of them, (called the path tool in corel), and have used them...er...twice...but GREATLY prefer my vector tool.
  17. Try pixia Pixia is also free http://park18.wakwak.com/~pixia/download.htm or gimp, posted link for that on page two. Either one will work for this, you don't need photoshop :) If you want to do pixel shading why not start with pixel drawongs?
  18. Resample does wonders. but why not just try your hand at brush shading?
  19. Pastels? Yeah the addition of the purple tones was meant to give it a slightly more varied look, which could result in a pastel like texture :) Heret, you ventured to the media board :) (I should really be doing some clan activity now lol)
  20. Thanks Actually, with the exception of maybe one spot, no blur has been used on this image :) did the blending with brushes.
  21. Reworked this, much different now. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/11398491/
  22. I am unfamiliar with the pen tool in general since I use vector programs to get the smoth lines. Why would it cause colors though? I guess since it is not possible with pixel shading you will just have to try your hand at some brush shading! (really, I know it is a shock but not EVERYTHING must be pixel).
  23. the lighting on the fissures is great :) Overall I like it
  24. Added a section to the first post on light and shading and a new walkthrough. Oh and edited the title to mention Entangles sample...yeah ok, so I wanted more views :)
