Human logic need not be true OR false because humans created logic and therefore are the only beings that can comprehend logic at all. No other being we know of can develop complex thought like us. There is no such thing as any other type of logic, so the "Human Logic" statement is just silly. Its just simply logic because we created a critical way of thinking that would help us to discover the universe as we perceive it. Its a word to describe the process of thinking critically, in other words. The only thing that can disprove any conventional logic is something that is illogical and totally contradicts logic as we know it, in this case God, and not even a deity would be able to crush logic because he would have to be a creator of the human mind and the superior critical thinking skills which would lead to us striving for logic in the universe. And to find that deity, one either needs to draw a lottery ticket ad hope its their deity or take a leap of faith. And both contradict intellect.

If you accept what you "feel" as true, then you are taking a leap of faith, and as I have said before, I believe that is a cop out from using logic and is inherently dishonest. Basing one's beliefs on feelings instead of logic, in other words... But you are obviously free to believe what you want. But anyway, it IS illogical. Not seems that way, IS. Not trying to sound condescending, but if something is beyond logic, it is illogical. I mean, I can understand that there are believers that tap dance around things like this (again, apologize if I sound like a douchebag), in fact I'm in a family that thinks like this, but logic applies to everything that exists within the natural world. If God doesn't exist in the natural world or logic, he is therefore both illogical and unnatural, for example. If God is the essence of everything, then shouldn't we be able to test him in everything? If this i the case, he exists within our natural universe and is bound to logic. In any case, one must stay within the boundaries of logic lest the break natural law and therefore be illogical and silly. Saying God doesn't have to be logical is silly, seeing as he first and foremost would be the creator of the natural universe, time and logic and be an overseer of it (unless he doesn't care). If we cannot find any evidence of an existence of a creator because he is simply "beyond" everything, then we have no reason to believe in him. After that, its all a matter of personal security and the want for something to be real.
-
Of course. Because that's using your logic to think about him being beyond logic. Some eastern mystics say "Be still and know", and by that they mean be still physically and mentally. There is no effort, or thinking required to "know" god. But this is not referencing to knowing god as a separate entity or with any characteristics, because god is beyond logic. That is an inconsistent statement. If the deity is beyond logic, then he is illogical. Also, since he is no longer bound by the realms of logic, one would have to accept every supernatural claim as equally likely as the next. Also, if God is beyond the realm of logic, then how can one make the claim of his existence? Without logic the claim would have to be completely made up. Also, if God created the universe, then we should be able to test parts of the universe to find his existence within reality--which is bound to logic and science.
-
Well then, no human mind would be able to prove his existence with our "human" logic. That being the case, then one would have to take a leap of faith and hope there is a God, for whatever reason--be it a security blanket or a desire (be it selfish or not) to continue on to a supposed afterlife, etc. And to be honest, faith is a cop out to logical thinking in my opinion, and is therefore intellectually dishonest. There is absolutely no reason to believe in God unless someone can provide me with evidence of his existence. Much of Religion seems to be too much of an emotional and sexual manipulation of the masses to ultimately make people submissive to an omnibenevloent and omniscient being--both of which are incredibly implausible when one actually reads holy texts at all (or looks at modern day atrocities and such). I can't tell you how many times a Christian has told me I'm going to roast forever with Satan because I didn't believe in God. What kind of creator wants a human to not live up to its full potential? If one has logic and logic says a God doesn't exist, why must I be punished for my intellect? Ultimately, pick a lottery ticket. Let's see which belief and/or non belief is the winner.

^that's awesome. Cass is one of my favorite companions in any of the Fallouts. I remember her parents in Fallout 2... I'm on my Fifth playthrough with a bunch of mods, waiting for the Corvega Car and the full release of Project Nevada...(I am testing it though :D, so I'm waiting for the next beta modules) Mainly playing with that, XFO to makr the game more like FWE, and Classic Fallout Weapons. Lots of others as well, don't feel like naming them all though. I'm looking for the Bozar.

It's not going to run UMD disks so... who knows about that. Instead: So it's now using Flash memory, and this article also says this: So UMD's will probably need an ISO instead. The NGP sounds good, I'm just nervous about the gaming lineup at the moment. At least it will play legacy games and Downloaded PSP games... Quick edit: Forgot the article link.

Saw the demo videos and was ecstatic when it was first demoed a couple of days ago...getting it on day one if the game lineup's any good. I'm just flabberghasted at the many features this device contains.

I'm waiting for the AMD Bulldozer processors this summer before I build my PC, I've been waiting for them far before this game was announced. When I saw it was announced, I pretty much got an even better incentive to build it. The Creation Engine is awesome. I'll update the post tomorrow or something, but I'm beta testing a mod for FNV right now, so I don't have a ton of time to do anything else. -

-From the wall Imagine that  That's an Elder Scrolls thing to start out in prison. I'm glad they're keeping the tradition. :) -
Yeah, I remember reading somewhere that Activision patented a few really stupid names--Space Warfare, Future Warfare, Secret warfare, and Advanced Warfare. I also remember I searched those on google as a joke, but real results came up. Link I would advise people to google Activision trademarks names or something like that as well. Lots of info floating around. ANYWAY...this game will either be really weird (via Battlefield 2142) or just incredibly dumb and not even weird in the interesting sense. Guess we won't know until an E3 announcement or something. I also wonder which of their COD dev teams are making this particular game?

If it has some gameplay elements of the last game but has some other elements mixed in, it would simply be a spiritual successor, but as Nadril said, we don't know much.

Thanks for the info, Zilla. Don't have my GI et. I'll update the post later on with your info and other info that I've found. A for screens, anyone looking should simply google it, but the images found are usually grainy for the most part. The graphics aren't bad, though, from what I've heard. -

Gameinformer cover revealed. Check it out on the first page. I will post images from GI when I see them, but no scans from the magazine, as it is illegal to do so. However, I will link to other sites that have them. Expect them sometime in the next couple of days, and I will also post information from the magazine itself. That is all. :) -
I can instruct people how to do it if allowed, which I'm not sure I can. But as to my knowledge, it isn't illegal... [spoiler=If this is illegal, remove it]I don't think its illegal seeing as how you will be purchasing the game and then subsequently putting on the PC. It is your property, after all. Nevertheless, there are a couple of prerequisites for doing this: You must have an XBOX and the ability to connect said XBOX to the PC (moreover the hard drive inside of the XBOX). The other is purchasing Dead Money on the XBOX LIVE Marketplace, as I'm not going to condone torrents and the such. You'll also need programs I'll list below or programs the function similarly to the ones I list. So, 1. Purchase Dead Money 2. Connect the 360 HDD to the PC. 3. There are multiple options after this, some crazy and then others safer: a. Disassemble and connect w/ SATA b. Use Datel XSATA c. Use USB Flash as XBOX Storage device to copy the DLC. 4. You'll need Xploerer360[Caution: Executable File]. google it. a. Browse to this: -Xbox 360 HDD:/Partition3/Content/0000000000000000/425307E0/00000002/ -In there, move the F3E30CC51469686629DF56202A26A4B7187655EB42 file to your PC. 5. Next you'll need something like the wxPirs-1.1 program. Google it. a. Go to file/Open and open the file you brought to the PC. b. This is the easiest part; the opened file should have a bunch of Fallout BSA and ESM (master) files. Choose File/Extract All from the menu to any folder you want. 6. Copy the Dead money bsa, sounds, and ESM files to the New Vegas Data directory (where you install mods). 7. After loading your game, wait a bit for Dead Money to be identified. When it is, you will get a message and a quest will be initiated. The level cap will also be raised. 8. You win. Enjoy. :) That's how I did it (actually did the safer routes, obviously. I know of people that have used the other HDD methods I listed, so I thought I'd post those to for a last resort). Not that hard, and everything works just fine, and I bought it legally so I don't see how its a bad thing. It works for any DLC as well, and we can thank Microsoft for having similar file structures in the 360 and PC. EDIT: Again, I don't condone this, but there are torrents as well where people have done the same thing I have. Lot less work for you. I don't fully condone it, obviously. But I'm not against people doing it, either.

Remnant's Power Armor ftw. I don't really like the veteran ranger armor simply because it associates me with the NCR. Caravan really has no "good" merchants to dominate. Go to Novac and play the shopkeep there. He usually has a decent amount of caps. Also, buy stuff and play caravan for your money back. It helps. I'm on my fourth play through, having lots of fun. Especially since I got Dead Money on my PC.

At around January 6th or so GameInformers website will be doing a month long Skyrim preview leaks, and so far they say this game is amazing. Can't really complain there. Until then, there really isn't a whole lot to say. 'Cept wait for Bethesda to post some things of their own. I'm just glad I'm finally on winter break. :) -

^^that's the camera. I like first person view solely for combat, then third person view for wandering. That is, until someone successfully creates a first person body mod. Then, I will be in first person mode a lot. Hopefully, the modder p-froggy can persevere from his rl issues and finish the mod. He was really far into it. First Person Viewable Body (watch his trailer) Bear in mind that is months old, but I'm not willing to give up. There are also other versions as well, like the one from Loup Sombre, whom along with that mod also did a third person actions in first person view mod, which is also in Deadly Reflex as well (though Loup's is glitchy...not sure about the DR version, though). -

Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul, which basically overhauls the game. Makes mobs not level with you, and makesit a lot more rewarding. Then again, FCOM, or the community overhaul combiner, which combines a bunch of comprehensive overhauls together without conflicts, is the best, though it requires work to actually install. I'm using my macbook pro for gaming until the new 8 core processors come out for my desktop build, which is still 5 or six months away, give or take a month. And, as I've said above, OOO is awesome, but FCOM is better, despite the many steps required to install it. I even still have to reinstall it and I'm not particularly excited to do so. :S -

The alternative Oblivion Magic System? Yeah, I tried that. It definitely is a pretty good mod, at least I remember liking it. After my finals this week and when I get home, I'll be playing Oblivion. Lots. And I'm going to try that again. I remember seeing realistic fatigue and laughing on how absolutely tedious it would be. Mine is cinematic camera mod, which basically took away first person view entirely and put in a pretty badass 3rd person view, but the reason why it wasn't an entirely basass mod is because it didn't replace the other third person view mod, and this could cause glitching if you're like me and switch from first person view to third often. I guess the camera was hard coded into the vanilla game and first person view wasn't, thus they could replace first person view. Its too bad, I would've used this mod otherwise. That sucks, neevr installed it myself. I did install a vampirism mod, though, and hopefully it isn't the same one you speak of. That would be horrible. :P -

Deadly Reflex is awesome. Horse Combat, more fluid melee strikes (i.e. decapitations) and awesome animations. Definitely one to check out. Eagle eye is also an amazing mod, I love being an archer and a mage, always <3'd distance fighting more than anything else, that's why I use Midas magic. Fantastic if you want to be both. I just hope that there's is an improved combat spectrum in Skyrim, and I'm confident that this will happen with the new engine. Hopefully they'll actually have "radiant AI," I mean they have it but it is not as they had originally hyped it to be. -

Laptop <_< He still has a point. You haven't played an ES game if you haven't modded it. Mods really do make a game, especially with the various options that you have for the mods. I mean, Deadly Reflex is still one of my favorite mods alongside Unnecessary Violence in Oblivion. Incredible mods especially since the newest version of Deadly Reflex just came out with horse combat. Then theres the minimap hud element. Point is, there is plenty of talent out there that can enhance the game. I really do wish I could post the pictures of the GI magazine when they come out, but I know thats against copyright law, but I did hear that GI will have its own dedicated Skyrim galleries and its own page on their site, which I will post there and, of course, link the site. Bethesda should release some things soon, though. I'm expecting something after this week, and if not then, then January. I just want to see what this new engine can do, to be honest. And I will mention that 1000x over until they release pictures. :P -

If they're taking any advice for when they made Fallout 3 (i.e. taking out psychic guards, having mobs that weren't scaled), then no, probably not. Especially with all of the complaints from the gaming community post-release of Oblivion. I think we'll be fine, all things considering. Don't worry about it too much. Besides, Bethesda's in house team is developing Skyrim, and Zenimax has a dedicated Online studio iirc...called Zenimax online. -

Well, I could imagine this, but the tweets say otherwise. That's from Bethesda and some of the Staff. I mean, they *could* just being using an extremely updated Gamebryo engine, as I originally thought, but if you read the new engine info from the staff--some things say otherwise. But who knows? As I have said, I'll update it with new news as it comes. :)
