  1. I sorta figured you would have posted about MZ, rush. :P I WANT the Gemini Spacesuit. Now. I. Want. The Drone Cannon. The Samurai armor is OK, but I could care less about that and the Cowboy with a new gun. But I'm getting it at 5 AM, when it comes out. Sleep until 5, DL and play.
  2. Do you even listen to yourself when you speak? Or consider where it is you're speaking? Wrong thread. I like how you asked him if he's even listening to himself speak, considering thats what his avatar says with Doctor Cox. So Tranquility Lane was effed up for you, huh? This game has plenty of odds and ends which scare you mentally. Wait until you reach Raven Rock (provided you haven't figured anything out yet... :anxious: ). I could recommend a crap load of mods to you, considering that I test and play around with a diverse set of 200+ mods in my load order. Cybernetic Dawn is amazing though, isn't it? :P I would recommend this mod list har; FOOK: You probably won't want to download, as its an overhaul kit, and overhaul kits aren't for anyone (but the FallOut Overhaul Kit is still amazing). This mod adds tons and tons of new weapons, armor, etc, etc, and makes the game a tad harder for a better feel. M249 SAW anyone? No? M60 then? Echo's Battery Charger: Lets you take your hard earned Microfusion, EC, or energy cells and convert them to each other, or create fission batteries, which can be used for your crafting OR convert the fission batteries into the rare Alien Power Cell. Ain't life grand? Unique Weapons With Unique Textures (UWWUT): every unique weapon in the game (i.e., the Terrible Shotgun, the Black Hawk) will recieve a unique texture as opposed to the same texture of the original item. Drag0ntamer did an excellent job with these, and also his mod, TUPAM (The Ultimate Power Armor Mod), which makes power armor feel like they should: powerful. J3xified Driveable Motorcycle: Says all, literally. GNR: More Where That Came From: Three Dog now plays 100+ songs, so you don't listen to the same 20 over and over again. Also get the GNR radio fix, so Three Dog will continue to talk about you after level 20 (glitch created by a patch). Tailor Maid: Lets you put on shoulder pads, back packs, new armor, etc to customize the look of your character. One of the best mods out there I believe. RTS (The Real Time Settler): Build your own city and defend and interact with other cities. The area to build can only go to 3000 or so units, but there is a mod on the RTS dl page which can make it 20,000 units. Repair Rethought Reborn: The original Repair Rethought died cuz the author left, so this guy continued. It makes Repairing more logical in the sense that you can repair mostly any weapon with tools and scrap metal and other things. PERK PACKS: Search "Perk" in the search box in Fallout3nexus, and pick the perk packs you want. I recommend Vault Dwellers Survival Perk Pack, Classic Perks and More Perks. All are excellent. JaySus Commonwealth of Modders: I love this mod. You find a boat near rivet city, repair it, and it takes you to a trading caravansery complete with quests and backstories plus toughness. Its amazing, a lot of work was put into it--not to mention, if you just search jaysus in the search bar at the nexus, he has addons he makes himself--ie, new guns that the caravans will sell, or wolverine claws and more. GTS - Iceland: Go the the files of the month, I believe its Junes file of the month. Excellent mod, lets you travel to iceland. Like a free DLC. Like above, GTS (The Global Travel System): This adds land to the empty cells bethesda left behind, like going to Africa and stuff, although going to those places is desolate and empty. Still fun to have, though. Fellout: This is a weather overhaul. Theres a lot to it, so its best if you check it out yourself. Project Valhalla: Awesome quest mod, where these viking like people from england travel to post-apocolyptic DC for old technology. Nice quests, weapons, armor, etc. Overall fun. The A Note Easily Missed Series: Three quest mods so far. This guy does excellent work with puzzles--really makes you rack your brains sometimes. Basically, these puzzles are fun like Zelda--but hard too. The quests are a Note Easily Missed, An Evening With Mister Manchester, and To Sleep--Perchance a Dream. Vault Tech Experimental Dimensional Safe: Hold infinite amounts of items. Nuff said. Provided you can find it. Coyote Neural Assistance Power Armor: Run like forest gump. Fast. woot. This mod makes you run super fast--it has low DR, but it makes your evasion abilities astounding. My possible favorite armor mod. evar. Weapon Mod Kits: This mod is win. You must get it. Now. Basically, you can mod weapons like the Chinese assault rifle to have a scope, auto fire mechanism (if it isn't already a machine gun), laser sight, extended clip/magazine, and a silencer. Its awesome. Marts Mutant Mod: Basically, give the game diversity, give every creature their own custom skins (including raiders and mole rats and others), and give them intelligence. Intelligence as in they won't see you as the most threatening thing ever, and defeat the bigger threat before killing you (i.e, dogs will see a super mutant more threatening than you, and super mutants will see the brotherhood more threatening). Also, creatures will evade you if they see you as a threat, or try to run away if you're kicking their ars into next century. Happens to me all the time with radscorpions, lol. Martigen also has addons, like increased spawns and increased increased spawns, which is easy to guess what it does--more creatures to fight at once. The Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch: Various fixes and stuff. I'd recommend this. SP Destruction: Makes the environment destructible, along with Destructible Building Materials 3000 beta by skykappa, both excellent mods. CRAFT: This will help you make custom weapons, in fact its needed for most custom schematic mods. CALIBR (The Community Ammunition LIBRary): Gives the game a diverse set of bullets, so you don't use the same damn bullet for every sniper rifle or pistol, lol. Fort Freeway: great quest/house mod. Megaton House Overhaul: Provided you didn't blow up megaton, this overhaul is amazing. The update is coming soon, where they have a working TV for the house. That is going to be amazing. Max Level Workaround: The broken steel addition lets you continue leveling up even past 30. Great with perk addon mods. Darnified UI: Perhaps the most important mod ever. Makes the UI more PC instead of console, and also allows you to add a sidebar which displays your encumbrance level, Rad Resistance, when you're going to level up, the game time, etc. Unfortunately, DarN didn't put it up on the nexus because its in alpha/beta stages, so get it at Bethsoft.com/bgsforums, and scan around for a bit. SVD Dragnov: Sorry, I spelled that wrong, but its late in Massachusettes. But this adds the amazing sniper rifle to the game. Theres to popular ones, but I prefer Zealottes. But thats up to you to decide. Classic 14mm pistol: Classic weapon from the old fallouts. Nuff said. Alright, thats all I'm offering; its a bit late, I'll recommend a ton more tomorrow. Hope you have fun with any of the mods I recommended though. Gonna go hit the sack, its about 1:00 here.
  3. Standalone story, in fact standalone everything. Fallout 3 uses the Gamebryo engine and isn't in an isometric view like the other two. Also, the other two take place in California.
  4. Yeah, I saw those and studied them yesterday. Samurai armor, Gemeni Space armor, new alien weapons...it looks amazing! Can't wait! I'm kinda glad I have PC because of mods. Using IronicEchoes battery charger mod, I converted Thousands of Microfusion cells, EC packs and Energy cells to about 800 Alien Power cells. The mod is pretty well balanced, I have no energy cells left, 1000 EC packs left, and 500 microfusion cells. But now I am unstoppable. :D Or at least when I am sneaking. So plenty of alien power cells=domination at the hands of a modded weapon, the Sarah Jane energy rifle. But anyway, now that I have about 980 alien power cells at the ready, and I'll probably charge quite a few before the release date before Mothership Zeta, so I estimate I'll have 1100 alien power cells while on board. And, provided we don't get anything snatched from us while captive, I'll have everything I need to succeed. And at this point, I think I'll be getting items snatched. :(
  5. Don't start using the Alien Weapons if you haven't sarted using them. The fact is the limited quantity of Alien Power Cells can and should only be used in dire situations, in this case going into an alien ship and facing down their machinery. So, save the ammo. Anyway, the Firelance is the unique variant, and sets thing on fire--like lenin said--and the alien blaster is the alien blaster. The pyromaniac perk, also with better criticals and other perks which could increase critical chance and other things, the thing can do oots of damage. Again, though, don't use it unless dire need--scarce ammo and the fact that the weapon(s) degrade so quickly is the main reason.
  6. What's that? A new DLC coming out or something? Speaking of DLC's, which ones are the best? :ugeek: To Rushrock: Yup, the level cap will be increased when Broken Steel loads, and there will be a notification when this happens. After which you can load Broken Steel during Take it Back! whenever you feel ready. This DLC is pretty buggy, so if you have a bug I might know the solution (having to deal with nearly every Broken Steel bug in existence, but if you're going to DL a newer one they might've fixed it). @Skully: Mothership Zeta is the fifth DLC by Bethesda, who will probably make more even though they say they won't, which is a completely futuristic-50's environment with aliens, new alien weapons, etc. Not even a single new mesh or texture was used from the original game, these are completely new. Which is amazing. I think it will be the best DLC because of the new weapons, and if the aliens are using these weapons then they will be hard to kill. But at least we'll get pounds of alien power cells through this (I hope), or some sort of reward to create them or convert alien weapons to another ammo. =P~ The best DLC are Point Lookout and Broken Steel imo. The other two, Operation Anchorage and The Pitt, although fun were linear and lacked substance. Broken Steel was linear too, but it at least had some sort of substance. Point Lookout is like a mini wasteland in Point Lookout, Maryland, and has a redneck-horror vibe, which was damn fun.
  7. No crap, I hate those damned tribals. Yeah, still haven't lost interest in this game--Point Lookout was amazing for me, now I actually want to go to the real world Point Lookout and compare it, lol. But I'm looking forward to Mothership Zeta the most.
  8. Okay, sorry it took a bit to respond, exams are this week. >_< Well anyway. First off, you should always Consult the nexus for all of your needs--linger to the top 50 and the files of the month. Oh, and sign up, its worth it. Just be careful not to say anything unconstructive, because that results in an automatic ban. There are many known modders--alexscorpion, darn (who created darnified UI, which overall improves the user interface tenfold. Then, theres drag0ntamer, who created Unique Weapons With Unique Textures and The ultimate power armor mod. A personal favorite is GNR- More Where That Came From to increase the amount of songs you have (I think that one is in the top 50). They have also something called the Global Travel System, which is a modders resource for people to create new countries and lands. With this mod came to be Iceland. These are both in the files of the month too, plus an awesome German quest called The Cube (based on a movie). So basically, look in the top 50 and the files of the month. They have things like new perk packs and stuff too, so use the search function frequently. J3X, another amazing modder, also made a drivable motorcycle and something called Enclave Commander. just check 'em out. Lastly, instillation. Wherever you installed it (I assume C:/Program Files/Bethesda Softworks/Fallout 3), then take the contents of the compressed items and drop them in the data folder (or, if the decompressed file is a data folder, merge it with yours) and you're all set. Oh, download the Fallout Mod Manager To check them off, Archiveinvalidation Invalidated! to enable modded textures in game, and finally Fallout Scripter Extender so you can actually play the game to its full extent. Oh, and if a modder offers a FOMOD mod, take that, because that installs everything for you be a simple double click and enabling it. If theres anything else, just ask. Have a good time.
  9. Trust me, mods make teh world a better place, especially in Fallout 3 or Oblivion. There are even awesome quest mods that really spruce up the game, or overhaul mods like the FOOK that make the game have a larger variety of guns and difficulty. Theres even a Terminator Mod Called Cybernetic Dawn, which puts Resistance fighters and Terminators into the wastes--not only are the hard to kill, but worth it (you roughly make around 4000ish caps per resistance fighter killed and Terminator). Then, after the resistance is wiped out, the only thing remaining tis the regular terminators which scour the wastes. Lol, a fun mod, difficult, and profitable. They even have mods that...make you a pimp. Yeah...0.o If you need any help in picking out mods I have a wide variety which I could tell you about. I promise it will enhance your gameplay tenfold. It took forever, but its cool that PS3 owners will be getting the DLC finally. Are you working on the skills? Or are you working on getting the bobbleheads?
  10. If you have a PC, mods. Do it. But since you're asking this question, you must have it for the 360, to which I will say wait for Point Lookout in the 23rd of this month and Mothership Zeta in July. Plus, you'd be surprised how cool and fun some of the sidequests are, like You Gotta Shoot 'em in the Head, Stealing Independence, or even Agathas Song, which if you do it correctly you can get the Blackhawk .44 magnum. Even exploring the ENTIRE map and find every location is awesome. Trust me, things like the Deathclaw sanctuary, the Vaults, the Nuka Cola Factory, The remnants of the Mall...But if you've went everywhere on the map, then just restart a new file. But again, if you have a PC then use mods. But if you're using a 360, it will probably be in your best interest to actually do the sidequests and explore a lot.
  11. Lol, Almost Perfect?
  12. =P~ I'll never look at rapture the same way again..................... =P~
  13. Looks sweet! The nly thing I object to is the ghouls voice, bt since you can't really alter it to make it raspy, then its still good. Just another thing to look out for! :
  14. Broken Steel is win, pretty much a must have for ANY Fallout 3 fan I think. The quest is exiting. New awesome choices. Plus, the Tesla Cannon. Is. Amazing. Seriously. This expansion is the most fun and makes you super 1337 and powerful. Especially the Tesla Cannon. Takes forever to get, but is awesome when you get it.
  15. I love this game. Survival is pretty fun too, but I've only been playing it on my friends X-Box--honestly haven't felt like playing on my PC. As usual, I mod every game and usually come across one thats hilarious, like this one: I'll probably end up putting that in mine soon, but again...Only have been playing on teh xbox... :-w
  16. ~Nevermind, I'll embed it when I remember how to do it later, too early in the morning. Here's the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtK89K9x ... re=related I lol'd. The serious machinima is good as well. Broken steel is coming out Tuesday, which is also pretty exciting, anyone else waiting patiently for this? Anyway, Just installed a x64 OS, so I'm gonna go give it a try, and also I'm going to try Fedora.
  17. Have that, believe it or not I had his older version before he put it under construction. The Alpha release is better. I'd recommend the Colossus armor, its really cool looking armor that comes in heavy and combat variants. As for retexturing, I could recommend a lot of mods that do that type of work. The main one I'd recommend (besides the Pip Boy 5000 mod) would probably be the Global Travel System. Or even the Coyote Reflex Power Armor and its Hi-Res retexture. The last thing I'd recommend is Darnified UI. His work on the User interface is amazing, like his work on it when he played Oblivion.
  18. Thats funny! Gonna try the saves next week when I have time, at the moment I honestly don't want to do it. Perhaps later today. But gaming, after a long week of vacation, I do not want to game for some reason. Speaking of mods, though, has anyone used FOOK? Fallout Wanderers Edition? XFO? I love the FOOK, and I tried FWE, but I didn't want the idea of chosing your fate for some reason or another. As for XFO, I tried it but immediately uninstalled it. Wasn't my...Favorite thing at all. Can anyone recommend any mods also?
  19. The Super Duper Mart? Lol. :D I got my Firelance by walking out of the Meresti Train Station, one of the biggest random event sites for the Firelance. That was cool, but since I had no idea what happened with the bright flash of light, I thought it was chance that there were 25 Alien Power Cells on the ground, and I wasn't aware of the Firelance. It stayed there for about literally 40 game hours, about 3 weeks in game time. One day, I decided that I wanted the Firelance because I saw it on the Wiki, and went to a lot of Random Event Sites, none of which ever produced the Firelance. I reviewed what the event looked like, and remembered that instance. I returned, and voila, more cells on the ground that I failed to pick up, and the Firelance. In other news, I just discovered I do not have to restart the game after all. I found about 500 old saves, ranging from when I was level 24ish and when I had around 60 hours of gameplay, just 20 hours shy of my original. I'm so happy that I backed them up on my Mac HD. Too bad that I hadn't realized it earlier though, I've been wasting three weeks figuring out what to do next. Lol, Super Duper Mart! Close enough. Although it is based on luck, why not going to one of the Random Event sites, like Meresti or the Anchorage Memorial, saving before you reach them, and go there over and over until the Firelance event appears?
  20. Didn't think of the vertibird, but why would the Enclave transport Harold to a different location, a peaceful place and all of that, without at least taking the place over? They would have taken over Oasis and probably harnessed the locations resources, such as the purified water and stuff. Besides, its important to know that although he wasn't always a tree, this game takes place directly after Fallout and Fallout 2, about 30 years-ish later. So Harold would still have been the tree.
  21. I was pondering transportation, but all methods of transportation are invalid in a Nuclear Waste besides by Brahmin, and iy wouldn't make sense that he waslked because he can barely move and hes rooted into the ground. Its one of those things that is impossible to figure out.
  22. He was in the original aswell. I don't find it weird, he was made by the FEV and is being consumed by a tree. Most of him is now composed of a tree, I don't find it strange he would have a long lifespan. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Harold Even so, how did he migrate across the United States? From California to Washington? That would be interesting to figure out.
  23. A group of Brotherhood Outcasts want access to a high-tech armory in their base, but can't get into it without using the Pip-Boy to complete a U.S. military simulation. They seek you out, you complete the Operation:Anchorage simulation, and the armory is opened. The armory contains various goodies, and a few of the items from the simulation: The Winterized Power Armor, the shocksword, the trench knife, the Gauss Rifle, and the Chinese Stealth Suit. They're pretty cool. And, if you have a PC, you can get mods that allow you to get the winterized combat armor, the chinese armor, etc...Basically things that were in the simulation that you couldn't get. Since I had to restart the whole entire game over, its actually been very nostalgic, plus with some overhaul and retextures, it feels like a whole new and fun game.
  24. Yeah, a DLC where a new survivor mode is coming out, where you get to battle a never ending wave of zombies!!111 muahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!! edit: and of course new campaigns...
  25. Oh [cabbage], I meant 3D. I'm tired today...
