  1. I lurve lurve lurve the chatbox locker... would come in useful for trade worlds too. However, I'm not sure the average RSer knows what the word "Profanity" means... ;D
  2. Pretty decent guide to fishing, maybe expand it to contain the whole scope of f2p skills?
  3. A few new updates raise the maximums in your guide. Dark bow + descent of dragons ups the maximum ranged hit to 45 x 2. Max def requirement 75 for the Dragonfire shield. Max str exp available from a skill task now 11 from catching shark barehanded. Max hunting required is 83 for dragon implings Max fletching required is 95 for dragon darts. Max fish ability required is now 96 to catch fish barehanded. Max fm ability required is now 95 to light mage logs without a tinderbox. Max herblore required is now 85 to add Roe or Caviar to a Zammorak brew. Max agility required by a quest is now 59 (grim tales). *bows* this is a GREAT and thorough guide, I hope my information is of use to you.
  4. When I started playing I thought "noob" was a mispelling of an arguably less pleasant word -.-
  5. I've been scammed twice which is a little embarassing as I'm a mod... 1. Lured into attacking Karajama tribespeople 2. An item switcher who bought my addy 2H for a hardleather body back in the days when 8k was a lot of money to me -.-
  6. Decent guide, :D you've inspired me to pick up my bow A typo there, says "fire cave" should read "fire cape" Also you might want to add that it's a bad idea to attack level 74 TzHaars, as this will cause all the others to team on you ^^;
  7. Thanks a lot for dropping by :) I just earned me 70 ranged, now to do that 14 more times...
  8. 17/2/2007 Just a title for now. In a few hours, I will add some pictures. In the meantime, add Dread Sock if you'd like to chat, and come meet Dead Socks if you'd like to hang. Must be off now though, these arrows aren't gonna fire themselves... 19/2/2007 As promised, here are some pictures... That's me. 67 combat/1079 total which gives me about a 16 on the "Is your account good?" doodlemepip. I don't want my combat to go any further than 70. So most of this blog will be about skilling =/... Once I've got 70 ranged (which I'll do by the end of the day) I'm going to fish with the intention of getting 76, yeppers, sharks. I'm going back to skilling so I can fund my expensive shooting-bits-of-rune-at-people habit ;) That's the moment I got 60 ranged in December. Check out the trap. That's where I've trained until recently when my best buddy Yoho came back and showed me the place which I use nowadays... I just noticed how many people I'm helping in that picture... (me two months ago) (me today) On a lighter note my buddy Malif just changed his sex for recruitment drive x[) I've ran over there in the hopes of forcing him to wear my clothes... Check him out, it's him in my blue ele, me in the pirate... and this guy calls himself mighty leader of the malafia... 20/2/2007 I thought I'd see if I couldn't make short work of a few Dagganoths. I've got all my Sara pages and it'd save some precious, precious bank space if I could stick them together somehow ;)
  9. ON THE RANGING GUILD: I have seen more people die there than go up levels. It's not really valid as a meeting place, a ranging supply shop or a training spot. The target-shooting game appears to depend purely on chance, and the tickets do not contribute towards rare or even useful items. As the arrows used are bronze, you'd probably get faster exp throwing rotten tomatoes in the duel arena. The game upstairs doesn't provide any system of arrow return, simply a fast death for those who neglect their defense level. I'm not made of ammo, the cost of ranging is always on my mind. (I couldn't shoot an onyx bolt. I'd make it a little tuxedo and store it in a safety deposit box...) Compare this to any other guild (I'd give a specific example if I wasn't a noob unable to enter half of them :P) and the facilities they provide...
  10. Would I lure? Of course not. In fact, as the dudette in a silver crown I'm normally the one whispering via PM, "Hey mate, if you do that you're likely to die..." Whether I think it's acceptable is another matter. I've been lured myself, I'm a pretty on-the-ball person (i.e. not a noob slash dunderhead), it was simply lack of knowledge of the game at the time. Some things not even complete fluency in the knowledge base, a five-year membership and maxed-out skills could prevent. And for this reason I believe it is not acceptable to compare luring with darwinism. However, I respect it is the quickest way for players to learn the harsh reality of the wilderness... I can see Jagex is attempting a tough job, in trying to teach less experienced players about the dangers of their fellow man without hatching a new generation of scammers who were taught how to steal based on "Message of the Week"...
  11. I am not a pure myself, and I find it ridiculously hard to get kills in the wilderness. >.< In the meantime, I have no intention of dying and loosing my ammo. So taking a coupla swordies up there is all part of my tactics, at least until I get 200hp. People should respect this, the same way I have respect for people who decide to train strengh to 99 and leave their other stats untouched. And food often lets me down: if you ever found that pile of fish and pizzas I *ahem* deliberatley left there for you, I hope you enjoyed it, and took time to bury my bones for me.
  12. I have watched people be reported (by low levels) for the following things: - lighting trails of fire - stealing - killing people in the wilderness - chopping the same tree as somebody else - having a combat over 120 - standing in the same place for a while...
