Ubisoft won me in terms of games (Watch Dogs, ACIII) but Nintendo has convinced me that I want a WiiU. From what I've seen I feel like they took a lot of the problems people had with the Wii and fixed them which is good to see.
Really?? They hardly showed anything
I know but what was showed looked like a lot of fun (Pikmin3, ZombieU, even NintendoLand was decent) and I really like the whole controller design just from the looks. I'd have to actually give it a try to make a final judgement on how it feels but it seems like Nintendo is on the right track and all I really need at this point is a few more awesome launch titles to make me throw my money at them.

Microsoft Conference. Meh.
EA Conference. Meh.
Ubisoft Conference. WOAH!
Ubisoft is stealing the show so far, AC3 and Watch Dogs? Do Want!
Really impressed by Watch Dogs, I'm confident that they can deliver it and expect this to become one of their flagship series. It just looks awesome.
Looking forward to what Sony is going to present and really excited for Nintendo tomorrow morning. :D

My jaw dropped opened when I saw the contents of the bundle this time. So many fantastic games I've been meaning to buy all in one! :D
Will edit the OP to let others know.

Surprised that no one has ever made a topic about this. I was just curious to see if anyone else listens to podcasts and if so which ones? Since I have about an hour transit commute each way to school I have a lot of time to kill so I listen to a lot of podcasts on entertainment, books, tv shows, etc.
Some podcasts I listen to (A lot of them have the same show hosts as I tend to listen to start listening to podcasts with a familiar group of people on them):
HYPE (General entertainment news)
Game of Owns (Game of Thrones discussions)
Hunger Games Chat (Hunger Games discussions)
Mugglecast (Harry Potter discussions)
Smart Mouths (Show ended, humour, news, fun segments)
Anyone else have some good podcasts to share/what are your thoughts on podcasts?

Moving this to Help & Advice as it's a more appropriate forum for questions. :)

Moved to Help & Advice.
Basically +1 to Warriormonkx post. :P
The Pharaoh's Sceptre or Camulet are quick ways to teleport near there if needed. There's also a lodestone near Bandit's camp which you might want to visit so you can home teleport there in the future.

http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=about.htm
^ This page here could really use some updating, most specifically this section (I've bolded the parts needing updates):
Our ForumsRune Tips also provides a forum for our users to discuss any issues pertaining to RuneScape or ArenaScape. Many other topics can also be discussed! The forums include one of the most popular Market Places, where you can buy or sell RuneScape items and find up to date RuneScape item prices. You can also discuss the most recent clan news on our clan boards. A board for recruiting members to your clan is also available. Media and graphics discussions are also supported on our forum.
ArenaScape players will also like to take a look at our four ArenaScape boards, giving one the best place to discuss ArenaScape tactics and your latest wins! For those who don't play RuneScape nor ArenaScape, do not fear! We have one of the most popular Off-Topic boards there is, where almost no subject is taboo! These are just a few of the features we have on our boards. The rest you will have to discover for yourself by registering for our forums.
As always, our first priority is our users' safety. The forum software will always be kept up to date. The forum also serves as the primary medium of communication between the Rune Tips staff and our community.
The reason for the above changes are, Arenascape is no longer available and the marketplace is no longer popular. Here's a rewritten version if you'd like to use or you can rewrite it however would be best for the site. :P

Can't you just mute the track that has the commentary on it? Or am I just overlooking something really simple and being stupid.
If you download a video from youtube you won't be able to separate music tracks and commentary because the video has been rendered all together. You can mute the whole track that goes with the video but you can't delete the music track and leave only the commentary because once rendered and uploaded to youtube the sound is all mashed together. You'd need the original project file and source files from the person who uploaded it in order to edit out specific sound tracks.

The Arenascape boards have been removed since there was no longer any activity in them. Also since the Arenascape section on the website is no longer available there was no longer a need for the respective forum.
Also I've moved this topic to "Introductions, Farewells, & Forum Account Help" as it fits more here than in General Discussion and may help you get in contact with any old friends. :)

Currently playing through Portal 2 again and just purchased Assassin's Creed Revelations.

Sony Vegas is a very powerful and complicated program but it's fairly simple to learn how the basic tools work and go from there. I've used Vegas 7 many times for school projects and found that simple editing was quick to learn and anything slightly more complex can usually be solved through a youtube tutorial. I'd recommend using it.

Moving this to Questionnaires as it's more about sharing personal incidents than just an angry rant so it will fit better here.

If 16,000 posts wasn't enough to make a dent in SoF, there's no way any serious changes will come of the combat plans from a select few p2p players testing this out.
Why must you relate this to SOF? You shouldn't even be doing that because you are one sole voice against a change no one else has even experienced and seen put into effect. SOF was something we all got to see and experience because we got to see how it was gambling and offering free shots to win items players would otherwise be unable to obtain. I can't stand how people see an upcoming update and cry foul before the mechanics of the update are even experienced. You can run with the idea that jagex tends to over-hype and deliver watered down concepts, but don't relate it to such an atrocity as SOF.
On another note it would be better off to see things from the p2p perspective first because there are so many more going into combat that I would assume they'll want to incorporate into their combat rework and balancing such as weapons, specials, special effects, foods, familiars, p2p pking, dueling, minigame compatibilities.
He wasn't relating it to the SOF or bashing the update, he was relating it to how Jagex won't listen to feedback (like SOF feedback) no matter how much people voice their opinions. Therefore the combat beta is really just going to be for bug testing more than anything else as very little will probably be changed in terms of balancing/updating things.
-
Do you really think so? Graphical rework is quite a difference - it takes no work to make it f2p as well(Actuall it would be more work NOT to make it F2p) and it enhances the image of Runescape for new players. Unless it's absolutely unbalanced, a skewed combat system will not immediately chase off new players, and it would mean a lot more work to balance both f2p and p2p.
See I was thinking that Jagex would want to make combat as consistent as possible. If the new combat system were to use a whole new engine it would seem like it would be more work to maintain both the old version in F2P and the new reworked version in P2P rather than just unifying it for everyone.
-
This one has me a bit upset. Sure, Jagex is going to get RuneScape P2P combat calibrated. But what about F2P? Are the new combat systems going to even affect F2P? Are they intentionally leaving F2P broken or something? I don't know what they're up to, but if they want to make more money, they most definitely need a beta for F2P combat. Or if they're not going to make this new combat system part of F2P, then they need to repair the F2P combat triangle. Right now, if someone were to come in to F2P with a tilt towards Range and/or Mage combat, many of them would be unwilling to go P2P because they would think that P2P would be more of the same broken Pro-Melee situation. <_<
~D. V. "Personally, I think F2P is getting Jagex'd again..." Devnull
I don't think you have to worry about the system being only P2P, this is supposed to be whole rework not just a balance for the whole combat system. F2P will definitely be getting it, just probably not a beta to test it out beforehand. Just think of this as exactly like when Jagex did the graphical rework except for combat instead.

English is my primary language but I have had 5 years of French classes in school and was a decent speaker. However I haven't used French in the last couple of years so I've forgotten a lot of it sadly. Might take a French course in Uni since I'd like to be bilingual.
