When you're doing exp/hr rates, think about including altar tabs. They are absolutely fantastic at speeding up the crafting, even if they do take a bit of time to gather. So do the gloves, though, and you include those. :)

The crew has known for a bit about the discrepancy between in-game quest points and the ones shown on our site when someone is only partway through Recipe for Disaster, but we've now pinpointed the problem thanks to you and it's been (we think) fixed! The map was no doubt done after your post, considering how long it's been, but there is now a map on the quest page showing the location of Merlin both in and out of the crystal. :) Thank you.

Ava does indeed say "Mithril or better hatchet" and you can try chopping it with a hatchet besides mithril. However, Turael specifically asks for a mithril hatchet and he will not accept another kind, even a better one. Thank you for trying to help and sorry it took so long to get back to you with a firm answer!
