If you had 1,000 dollars, what would you buy?
You guys must have never heard of the K.I.S.S. Principal. Keep It Simple Stupid Complexity only makes things.. complex. LOL @ Degree again. You guys will find out how much a degree is later in life when they say "we'll call you". If you guys enjoy knowing that 8 hours of your entire day is going to be spent at a workplace for the next 30 to 40 years.. go ahead.. :| Rich people aren't rich because they work at a job. ~Defender~

Just think if he had 5 million dollars. Think of all the more stuff he could enjoying doing that as a hobby? Rather than the "neccessity" to show up, or worry he can't pay the bills? ~Defender~

Well thats easy to do. Infact, EVERYONE can do it. Go make nats.. then once you have enough, buy a santa and your set for life. Now apply that to real life.. work alittle, get a pay check, invest in a business, make profit out of it, quit your job, and enjoy life. How is that so hard to understand? A degree is worthless if its your MAIN plan, such as working a career for 50 years, but as a back up its okay, as long as you don't hold onto it as your option for living your life because thats a life of slavery. ~Defender~

Looks like your not reading my posts now. :| 1. You must have skimmed it very fast, the book takes about 45 mins to a hour read, but you posted something in 3 mins or less. 2. Yeah, you "worked" for it. You slaved away making nats day in and day out. Thats mentioned in the book, chapter 2 i believe. Its called "having a job in Runescape". 3. You don't know excatly what I have in my finicial life other than a free 1k and trust me, I know what i'm doing obviously. Otherwise.. I shouldn't be writing money books. Well.. now that that is over.. *hopefully*... anyone know what else I could put on the list to buy? ~Defender~

Read it, the principals inside relate to real life, not just a video game. There you go again.. making assumptions on what you think I know, vs what I really know.. ~Defender~

http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=570557 Wrote it myself.. not bad for a person who has doesn't have a degree or makes no sense, don't you agree? You guys are pretty negative, you should read some positive self help books! :| ~Defender~

That piece of paper for your information certifies you have had proper training in that field. Imagine a doctor who became a doctor and didn't have a degree or a doctorate. Could you imagine what kind of catastrophe that would be? You need a serious reality check. Why don't you just drop out of school now and get a job? Oh and BTW you need a degree in finance if you intend to make that kind of money off it and have anyone take you serious. Companies might even feel against investing with you because of your lack of professional education in the area. And stop nesting quotes! That is yalls problem. You guys keep thinking in the small areas and confinement of the world systems. If you want to expand, you have to get out of the system and create your own. I'm not saying its a "bright idea" not to have a certified ticket issued.. but their pretty worthless considering every kid has one. Try entering into programmer through game development.. they don't care if you got a degree. ~Defender~

Have fun with the credit card companies calling every hour and the IRC arriving at your front door of your nonexistent house because you lost all your money from the bankruptcy of 'Inron'. :D Wrong-O there chap. You see, as previously mentioned above, these guys claim that they cannot help you by reading the internet. Only by going to college. Non of them are "certified" millionares, so none of them are educated well enough on what to do with 1000 dollars. Thus, all their points and advice are null and void, proven by their own mouths. ~Defender~ I said I wasn't going to argue any more, but you're irritating me. I AM STILL IN COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY ERGO I AM NOT A MILLIONAIRE. Are you a millionaire? By your reasoning, if you are not, you're advice is just as worthless. As far as I'm concerned, I will get my degree. Money I get will invest in this. Then after earning some money I put into stock markets. If I win, I pay off my debt. If I lose I STILL HAVE MY DEGREE. Which you agreed was a good plan. Basically I will invest money in a back up plan, because If I win, it doesn't matter how much money I invest in education, my winning will pay it off. Either way, getting a degree will end up in me WINNING, because even if I lose stock markets, I can still easily get a high paying job. If I do not get a degree and I fail at stock markets that's it. And working till your 60.. and retiring, sounds like a fun life.. :| ~Defender~ Better than a life of bankruptcy and failure when I lose playing stock markets. Seriously can you not read my posts? Your back up plan is good, but your assumptions of the knowledge in my head is intresting. Intresting indeed. You claim i'm not listening to you, but all I hear is "you gotta work to make it in this life! don't try to risk it!" ~Defender~

Unless, unless you invent or create/make something huge enough that people will accept it without you having a college education. Without a college education, no one will take you serious. Feel bad for those lottery winners. They must have been paying hard on those educations!!! There is tons of ways to get rich in the world besides having a job. To bad you don't understand and only believe a piece of paper that says "degree" will only assure you progress.. its kinda sad really. ~Defender~

Yes, I agree its a great back up plan, but many people want it to be The Plan for my life. Those who never risk don't get anywhere in life. ~Defender~

It's alright. He also said that you can get a free college degree on the Internet, then turned around and said that it wasn't free. And correct me if I'm wrong, but this whole thread, he's been saying that he doesn't want to spend it on college (or go to college for that matter). Then he just said in the above post that he said he could spend it on a college degree. :-s Argh. Okay, apparently there is ALOT of mis communication and interpertation (sp?). So lets try to clear it up. It's alright. He also said that you can get a free college degree on the Internet, then turned around and said that it wasn't free. I said the KNOWLEDGE on the internet is free, not the degree, so why would I want to go buy a degree for what I can get online? And correct me if I'm wrong, but this whole thread, he's been saying that he doesn't want to spend it on college (or go to college for that matter). Then he just said in the above post that he said he could spend it on a college degree. I want to go to college, but AFTER I get the money first, and it be a hobby. Not my journey into a better career of higher paid slavery. I asked what you worked as. And I go to college/university and work at the same time, it's not a waste of time. For one, university is the experience of a lifetime, two I get some honest work in to earn my way through so that I can experience trying to afford my own upkeep and manage my finances. It keeps me focussed and not sit on my bum all day, and meeting new people, learning new skills, I love it. It doesn't get it my way, I have so far gained all first class honours in my exams, and run my own business with friends which also generates income. I didn't say college was a waste of time, I said working is a waste of time. Hope this cleared up the confusion. #-o ~Defender~

Or, invest the 1,000 into gold stocks, make 3k... Or.. invest 1k into college and get... a degree... that I will eventually have to pay later (putting me in debt), but have a bit nicer paying job than before.. No, I don't get what your saying. and ctp, I work right now. I'm trying to get cash so I can stop working in the work force. I know you can't get anywhere WITHOUT a job, i'm using the money I make now to invest in businesses. I'm basically trying to do what your friend is doing, retiring, then use all the money I earned for education as a hobby. Why? Because If i went to college now + work, work really just gets in the way. Its a waste of your time in life. ~Defender~

I fail at a argument? Where is your judge degree? Oh.. you don't have one. You fail because you make conclusions BEFORE a debate ends. Reguardless, if you haven't noticed on my list, its "invest in a business".. or I could spend it on a college degree.. Hmm invest.. or college degree.. ~Defender~

http://www.devry.edu Its not free, but its online. And degree's mean nothing. ~Defender~ Degrees can get you all sorts of privileges once in a job, they are just kept undercover. My friend has worked in employment for over 40 years and trust me a degree benefits you in so many ways. But hey believe what you want, just don't try and claim hear-say as facts, without evidence. In manual work, which is what I presume you are doing from a previous statement of yours, no, a degree bares no importance. But like I said, believe what you want, your choices in life have no impact on me. And in response to the question? $1000 is about ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã500 these days. Can't get me too much, just 2 months rent, and I'd still need a bit more. Or I'd invest it into a business me and my friends have set up. Either way nothing too exciting would happen with it. I'm at work right now, and if I was doing manuel work, you think I would be here typing this to you? Its a sit down job.. no physical labor at all.. but to me, a job is a waste of time. There is so much more you can do to enjoy your life without a job and cash and thats my goal, to get out of the rat race. Unfornately, people just say "go get a better job", like that really helps. Sure, its more income, but i'm still in the race. And in all honestly, what good are priveleges when you got a million dollars??? You can buy your own priveleges!!! ~Defender~

No wonder you people are poor. And knives.. I DON'T want a degree.. my sister got a degree and she works where i work making the same pay. There is people with college degrees and still end up at lower paying jobs. Degree's are worthless because almost every kid has one. Companies are looking for something more than just a degree now. ~Defender~
