I was reading your other post about the Dinosuars and that is a intresting view how they got on all continents.. however I don't agree with it. Why this may sound silly.. but here is why. There use to be a fun game called the "sand game". It requires you to do stuff while sand is falling down on the screen. You can make all kinds of sorts of stuff happen.. like you can fill the oil sand up in a bowl, and then burn it. The Green sand is considered plant life and when the water sand hits it.. it converts the water into plant sand. Then there is salt sand.. umm which does nothing, lol. Anyways, the kewlest thing about this game was planning a scene.. Then acting it out. One of my scenes was lighting a string of plant on fire.. which would orignally go through the process in domino effect. The plant would go through all sorts of material and eventually hitting the big pot of oil, blowing everything up! (WOOT FUN! :thumbsup: ) However, a miscalculation came into place. The fire had caught onto some OTHER burnable material and reached the oil earlier than expected.. Lets just say while it looked great on the screen, the actually event did not occur. I hope you understood all that :P The same thing with Science. They can show you a planned graph of how it all came to be.. why the dinosuars where on other contients. But just because they can show you that, doesn't mean thats how it happened. Something could have gotten miscalculated, perhaps not enough information is presented to get even more real results. Scientists were not living thousands of years ago to record the "actual" scene, so their really using their Best Educated Guess on how it came to be.. not the actually fact of how it came to be. Here is my Educated Guess. When you throw a rock into a moving river, it will sink, but first, it gets carried down the river a bit ways before hitting the bottom. Sometimes, it will still roll even if its at the surface of the floor. In my opinion, when the flood happened, every piece of land on this earth was completely covered in water. Now keep in mind it was flooding, so I do not believe the water was very "calm" till it stoped raining. During this time, the bones of dinosuars could have been moved anywhere or in any position. Also to note, Water changes landscapes. Who knows how much of the surface of the earth was changed before and after the flood. How can we bo so certain and correct mathimatically if we are using our current landscape for research without knowing the previous one? New Mountains could have been formed under water, or new ravenes. We don't know for sure, but I know for sure that Scientists don't have all the information and to say that its fact would be certainly using your best Educated Guess on the situation. Thats why your Faith in Science is curious to me.. they don't have all the information but you'll believe it as its a fact. Its not a fact, its a guy saying.. "well guys here's what we got about some information a few thousands of years ago.. what did you think happened?" Noob Scientist: I think.. Religions such as Taoism and Buddhism don't require evidence. They are more about spiritual and moral focus. Or, if your not a monk or anything, they can be philosophies to live your life by. When people do something, its usually for a purpose. Power, Money.. something. I don't believe the people wrote the Bible were fakes who just wanted to entertain the thoughts of millions. After all.. what you wrote was 100% cartoonish and silly.. anyone can see that. In the Bible, I do not see that. They literally try to explain to the reader how things happened.. instead of playing it off as a "get rich quick Jesus Scam!". People have died for Christ instead of choosing to live. In my opinion, alot of people who dislike or do not believe in christianity did not study it enough to get the real answer God is saying. Alot of Gods words are interupted into something God himself did not mean. Even Christians can do this, were only human.. such as when Churchs denounce people to wear makeup because it was in the Bible. However, all God was saying is "your beauty is on the inside, not the out, so why are you trying so hard on the outside?". If you really read and dig deep into the bible, you will begin getting answers for those that you couldn't understand previously before. Many people mistakes Gods actions for what they really are or were. Events that have been taken place in the bible have been mislead to what they really where. I'll give you a prime example.. and you can hate me for this because you don't believe it but it doesn't change the truth. When you think of Abraham going up the hill to kill his son Isac.. i'm pretty sure your thinking of a sad father.. about to stab his only son in the heart in the name of God.. right? This is what the movies has all lead us to believe.. since we seen it on the scene.. and has led many confused why God would even ask Abraham to do this. However, because this was not what really happen.. it has confused millions and lead to tons of misleadings. If you truely sit down and read about Ahraham.. he was a man of faith. For 20 years, his faith was unwavering in God.. God favored him so much that he said he would make his descendants more than you could count the sand on the beach or the stars in the sky! AKA ALOT OF PEOPLE! So a man filled with so much undoubtful faith is now crawling slowly up a hill with fear and sweating palms? Unsure if he is going to recieve that promise, although he did recieve a promise of his son? No! He's walking up that hill with a smile on his face, faith filled, knowing it doesn't matter if his son dies, Gods gonna turn his ashs back into his living son so he can have what God promised! Tons of Descendants after him! This man was FULL of Faith.. not FULL of fear or doubt. Many people do not understand the events or scriptures in the bible.. so when they are told to people that is not the truth.. and the people "try it".. and it doesn't work.. guess what? The bible "must not be true!". When all along, its just all misunderstood. The only way to know for "sure" you got the right answer is to back scripture with scripture. Playing Connect the Dots. Not all bottles of water are purified. However, when that is labled on the bottle, it goes through the following process. While killing bacteria to make sure you don't get any infectious disease or unwanted bacteria sounds great.. One thing I noticed about this process is that it also takes out the minerals which are good for your body. That just leaves you with plain empty h2o. H20 in itself is still reguardless good when it comes to putting liquid in your body.. its a far more wiser choice than putting a soda in the blood stream.. but with a lack of minerals, would it be a good choice to pick? The brain is highly dependent on water for it to be effective and even empty mineral water will produce better results than Dr. Pepper. However, would it simpley be better to drink H20 from your sink or from a purfied bottled water? What excatly are you paying more in a bottle than you are from your sink? Discuss ~Defender~

I know tigra explained a bit on this, but i think its just preposterous that you attempt to use science to explain it, when you dont seem to be able to explain it very well. Yes, the atmosphere was different thousands of years ago. But its only because of the introduction of pollution. Tell me how H2O in mass quantities can change the chemical composition of the air? The oxygen in water does not simply remove it self from the air and attach to hydrogen molecules making it turn to water. About the snake. You have no scientific backup for how a snake bite changes under a different atmosphere. The composition of the snake venom is a constant, and will not change over time. Since the venom is not released into the air, but directly into a person, there is no pressure change to cause the venom to become less concentrated, ergo making it perhaps less toxic. Since the venom is passed directly into a person, the venom stays at a constant concentration, and does not change once in the body because the pressure in the body is constant, since the change in atmosphere is only on the outside, not on the inside of the body. And since the chemical composition of the inside of the body stays the same, this means that nothing is different, therefore the venom is still has the same effect. (*Note* unless the pressure outside does effect the pressure of blood, what ive said should be true) You say people lived 1000 years at a time? I call that complete Bull. The human body can only live so long because cells eventually are given to command to stop going through mitosis (The way cells reproduce) which means the body stops making new cells which are constantly damaged. This can cause organs to stop working, ect. Also, we survive on oxygen. The air now is about 22% oxygen (Im going off what i can remember, correct me if im wrong). But the thing is, the human body only needs 16% of that oxygen per breath. therefore, 6% is always wasted, and no matter how much excess oxygen there is in the air, there will always be more then we need. Now im not attacking your religious views, i could care less about that. But that statement im making is that you attempt to use science to prove your point, but you have no way of backing it up if you dont know how the science works. Inncorrect.. I, nor Science, nor you.. know what kind of atmosphere was present. It could have been completely oxygenless! (I don't believe that, but you get my point). The thing is.. intill we know what type of atmosphere is.. you can't make sciencetific claims for Todays Atomspheric results. What does my saying that have to do with reading a Bible? I've read it, and I'm not convinced. YOUR Reality: "Will never happen". Rational Reality: There are billions of stars PER GALAXY. There are billions of galaxies. Each star has a potential for planets around it. Statistically, it is impossible for there to not be life outside our solar system. People like to boast about how conditions have to be PERFECT for life to be able to form, and that the chances are so low that it just isn't possible. Well, why the hell not? What makes us so special? We weren't here at one time, now we are, and in 2 billion-ish years, our planet will be too hot to live on. Mars will be the same temprature Earth is now. Right now, Mars is freezing cold. My point is: Things change. If the placement wasn't there yesterday, it could be there today. Any planet with an atmosphere has the chance of supporting life if it's placement is right. I never once said we'd find life JUST to disprove the Bible. Heck, Our President right now is a Christian and it was his plan to put forward the work to find other planets capable of supporting life. He probably doesn't expect to find any, however. The fact is that the Bible says NOTHING about life anywhere but Earth. If we find some, it further slaps the Bible in the face and tells it to quiet down while the adults speak about things that are important. The Bible isn't important unless it is the literal word of a deity who will reward or punish us. You believe in your heart that it is, but I believe in my heart that it is not. The Bible is full of stories written by men who were, to today's standards, incredibley stupid. Things we know today to be completely false and make us go "What? That's dumb." are written as literal fact. We know for a fact, for example, that "Noah's Arc" couldn't have exsisted. It just couldn't have. There's no way you could build a boat that big and make it float. There's no way you could gather up 2 of each of the entire world's animals. There's no way that even if you COULD do these things, that Noah could have even BUILT this boat. The story was obviously written by someone with no knowledge of the REAL world. He only had knowledge of HIS world. How did animals over here in America get over to where he was building the boat? How did they get back? How about Australia? Other places? See, they didn't know America and these other places even exsisted. They wrote about what they knew at the time, and to them in seemed plausible. Now, if the Bible said that God flooded Noah's entire REGION, it would make the boat smaller (probably still impossible proportions, though) and the animal problem less...Of a problem. Of course, religious people use the logical falacy that God is infalible and can just make these things happen. Forget the fact that there's no evidence and we know it to be impossible - This is GOD, he can do it! So boring. I wish they could really come up with something more compelling. Trust me, if God seemed real, I'd be on that ship right away, because it'd be totally awesome to get the promised rewards. There are things like that in the Bible you can see everyday. I've thought to myself long and hard about all of them I've seen, and some I was showed, because let's face it - eternal damnation is no joke. You may use another law to subside it, such as air flight subsides gravity, but you will never have the power to break a law. So where am I going with this? Answer a few questions. 1. Is Man.. Perfect? 2. Is anything man has created.. become.. perfect? 3. Who created Science? 4. Why do you put your faith in man? Every man that was born grew up knowing nothing any more than you.. but took the time out to study things.. but you put faith in their educated guesses. Its a very intresting concept. People that believe in Evolution.. but not God.. its amazing how they think.. One day.. their sitting in a chair with their girl on their lap.. they have the sun warm them.. the grass sway in the wind.. that gives off a beautiful outdoor smell.. tree's that are pleasent to the sight.. and they say in their heart.. "All this created itself.. " But God creating it.. is such a absurd idea? I see more God everday than I do Science. People look tooo much at the Traditions of things and bad events rather than what the Bible Really Is. A book that says "Love Everyone" and a God that "Loves You". Why are scientists who DO try to prove it wrong.. end up finding that it was right in its claims? Science is mans best guess on how something works. The bible can only prove God exists.. and it does that everyday. As for noah and the ark.. Back in those times.. the atmosphere of the world was different than today. The flood is what changed the atomsphere of the entire world. They even used a atomspheric chamber and put a poison snake it in.. if you was to get bit inside the chamber with that snake.. the amtosphere change actually made the snake non-poisoness. I saw this with my own eyes. Why do you think people started living from 1000 years down to approximately 120? The atmospheric change. Most likely your scientists says it was never "possible" because they was using math on our current atmosphere! It was a different one back then. Read the bible and it notes who died after adam, and so on and so forth. Read the number of the years they lived.. it gets lower.. and lower.. and lower.. and lower.. My dad was telling me about a story he was reading about this guy.. who was doing a massive research on the worlds religions because he wanted to know who was 1st in the "belief" list. It took him years to finish.. and he thought it would be Jesus Christ.. or christianity that would come in first.. but it actually came in 3rd or 4th place. (The guy doing the survey was christian himself) The world leading religion is Muslim/Islam <-- dunno if those are the same thing or not.. Christians got mad at him for not putting chrisanity first :lol: but he just wanted the truth and didn't change it :D The only bad thing is thats alot of people frying :uhh: ~Defender~

Are we all debating with one another.. or are we all trying to get 1 another to believe the other.. convincing them? Or are we all just sharing our ideas and opinions on the subject at hand? Why are christians so stubborn when it comes to God? Because in life.. there is only 1 truth. No.. I didn't say one fact.. I said 1 Truth. 1 is right.. everyone else IS wrong. A million people can believe 2+2 = 5 but the truth is.. the answer is 4, even if only 1 person believed it. When it comes to the nature and cause of the universe.. everyone is seekign the same thing.. The Truth. How was it created? Chrisanity claims to be "THE TRUTH".. which is why christians are not opened minded.. they don't need to go find the truth, they already found it! Right there in the Bible. As far as I know.. (remember, i said as far as I know).. its the only Religion and Belief system that has extreemly a high confidence level. Now if God didn't exist.. and it wasn't the truth.. I don't believe their confidence level in what God says would be so high. I am a christian myself.. and yes, I believe the word of God is "The Truth", so I won't be going seeking other religions that "also might be the truth". I already found, the truth. So yes, you could say we are a arrogant bunch.. or you could say we found what we was seeking. There hasn't been anything as of yet in the Bible, that I have found to be untrue.. even the foods God tells you to eat in the Bible are now medically showing to be good and healthy food for you than what we serve today and always will be. The reason why christians have a hard time with athiests is not because they are sinners.. its because christians show hate towards them for not converting into christianity. "Love the sinner". not.. "love them only if they convert". Besides.. I don't NEED to convince anyone to come to christianity.. God never said "Convince them.. " he said "love them and tell them the truth".. and thats all we need to do. Its Gods job to do the converting. Has anyone see a christian that became christian out of debate? No, all christians came to christ out of the realization and reality of knowing and being loved. All mans desire and course in action is to find love.. and Christians find it in God. I know what athiests will say.. "Many have died in the name of religion!". So I ask.. "How many were saved in the name of Athiesm?" ~Defender~
