I've always like Oceansize's lyrics. They're poetic and elegant, and they fit so well with the mood of the song. Examples: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RP0Vpzzr9QQ [spoiler=Lyrics]I can hold you all together You wont fall With the troops that we assembled and the bond we've forged Though this sketch is getting old now The cracks don't show Time wont change a thing when I'm gone Don't grip the wheel too tightly, my son Everything you need is done I would've thought we'd won by now but oh no I have known no other method So don't presume there's wisdom When all that I am is time now and the cold The fruition in the detail is all that drives me I am not the picture, now I am the frame [spoiler=Lyrics]left lying but i was still shaking came out but i was broken, i bask in the sunshine but i'm tied to the machine, and got stuck in a difficult scene is it all you ever needed, all you could ever want? oh waiter, waiter make that call, i miss a queue what calls her forward as a secret band plays on i’m pleased as always, pleased oh danger, danger cause of fall, i never claimed i knew it all i start to wonder what went wrong and i wonder what i could’ve done my heart amounts to 50 tonnes and pulls me under, pulls me under pulls me under, pulls me under (breathe it, breathe it) pleased as always you’ll bring it far too near (breathe it, breathe it) it’s just like this was never meant to be yeah i can recollect but i’m pleased as always and feel for you my dear and please just say it, i’m not missing you but all will become clear who do you run to? and who do you run to? oh i try to find the words to say but i always stumble, always delayed i’ve lost myself, i’ve lost my way, i’ll pull you under, pull you under (breathe it, breathe it) pleased as always you’ll bring it far too near (breathe it, breathe it) it’s just like this was never meant to be yeah i can recollect but i’m pleased as always and feel for you my dear and please just say it, I’m not missing you and all will become clear and who do you run to? clear, and who do you run to? clear, and who do you run to? clear, and who do you run to?
  2. Blocking kalphites = bad Skipping kalphites = ok
  3. I'll take your word for it then. It's been forever since I've done TDs seriously.
  4. Equilibrium will be the best, unless it doesn't affect abilities.
  5. You're right about the defender. Are you sure ragefire > dragon? I have no idea what their magic defense is like, but I'd assume it's low because demons are supposed to be weak to magic. I'd definitely recommend bandos. SS tanking>ss flashing. It doesn't make sense to bother with switching if you don't have to. I don't think anyone's ever actually found the 3 max def rolls of tds, but I think they're high enough to warrant maul/cls.
  6. I'd consider skipping kalphites if you haven't done do no evil. I'm not sure about the xp rate, though.
  7. I haven't done much with tds since before soa, but here's my best attempt at a setup: Helm: Neit Necklace: Arcane stream/fury switch Body: Virtus>Ahrim/Bandos switch Legs: Same as above Boots: Dragon, I guess Gloves: Barrows Weapon: Staff of armadyl>Polypore/Maul>Cls>Rapier (Cls is probably easier to use since it's 1h. Also, don't buy it just for tds, it kinda sucks everywhere else. Just use a rapier) Shield: Arcane/Dragon defender If you can't afford an arcane, I say just mage with the defender Ring: Zerker I'm not sure about the inventory. You'll just have to experiment. You won't need much healing once you get good, so it'll pretty much be overloads and prayer potions. Tip: TDs won't change their style unless you pray against it, so when it melees, use soulsplit and just tank it.
  8. Are you saying that they'll reopen the mechscape project, or make more games like transformers? I can't phrase that properly. My point is, do you think they'll sell their resources to other companies and produce games that have a short lifespan, or will they cater to runescape's fanbase and produce similar games?
  9. >.< Gargoyles - Bad charms, bad xp, annoying people, bad effigies Grotworms - Bots, can't cannon, bad charms Fire giants (borderline imo) - Cannoning is annoying, bad charms, slightly below average xp/hour LRC - Bad charms. They're really good if you're low melees, though Spiritual mages - No charms, no effigies, can't cannon, no good drops Skip: Warped tortoises - Terrible xp, annoying as hell, the drops are only good at really low incomes Jungle strykes - Just a horrible task in general. Mutated jadinkos - Bad charms, slow xp, hard to afk cuz they like to do a ton of damage at once, effigies are somewhat decent, but they have low kph. Desert strykes - See jungle strykes Skip grifolaroos at 82(?) slayer, and block polypores at 88 (or whenever grifolapines are unlocked) - You can block all polypore creatures in 1 slot, which is definitely worth it. They're a terrible task. The xp sucks, the drops suck, and cannoning them requires very high apm. Also, 4k data points says spiritual mages are more common than jungle strykes.

http://www.thelineofbestfit.com/new-music/song-of-the-day/british-theatre-as-the-leaves-are-to-the-limbs-best-fit-premiere-102111 Really looking forward to this. Also, no one has posted in this thread for over a month. For shame.
  11. Here's what you should block: Gargoyles Grotworms Fire giants (borderline imo) LRC Spiritual mages Skip: Warped tortoises Jungle strykes Mutated jadinkos Desert strykes Skip grifolaroos at 82(?) slayer, and block polypores at 88 (or whenever grifolapines are unlocked).
  12. It's probably better to kill wfs for crims than it is to use golds/greens. There's not enough data to accurately say how much summ xp you'll get from 99 slayer. Even if there was, you do so few tasks from 77-99 slayer that the error would be massive. With a good blocklist, you should get into the mid 90s though, at least. Another point i'd like to raise is that, if you don't plan to max, use all lamps on summoning. Unlocking an iron titan speeds up a number of tasks, and the earlier you get it, the more time it saves.
  13. I've already forgotten, then.
  14. Wanna bet? Seriously though, do you honestly believe that the game will be closed by 2014? From, let's say 500k members to closed in two years? I don't think people realise that the only thing they NEED membership money for is server costs. Only when the amount of players gets so incredibly low that they can't afford them will the game be anywhere near closing down. Then how do they pay employees? You don't need that many employees if you're not producing content. The game will only shut down when the cost of maintaining the servers is more than their revenue. At that point, though, they could just scrap the idea of membership and fill the page with ads. You would still need a good amount though. Customer support, public relations/legal, management, bug fixers and game maintenance, for example. As well as building security and maintenance as well. In addition, remember the surplus remaining after server costs must be high enough to give proper incentive for employees to accept their job. No one is going to run the game full-time if it's only turning minimum wage, which is another thing to consider. Rent and utilities also come to mind. I'm not familiar with the costs of running servers but it seems to me that even with a small employee base, their yearly salaries would be greater than the server cost, if not merely a significant aside. In this situation, Jagex will have completely forsaken the game. No one will be around to fix bugs or deal with customers. They just need to pay for the servers and other related costs.
  15. Gonna work on getting 98 con when I'm not busy (and I've been really busy lately).

  17. Why are you still doing clues?
  18. I feel like I should reiterate this. It's the only viable way to train range. Make money until you can afford 43 prayer and cannonballs/chins. Using iron knives anywhere is a terrible idea. Wow, linear playstyle, much? What's the point in RS weaponry if everyone just uses 1 type of weapon? Jagex should already remove those? (Or finally start nerfing that cannon & chin xp to make it more comparable to other methods). That's one reason why they're reworking the entire combat system.
  19. What herbs are you farming? Do you have jujus? Greenfingers?
  20. You can store wealth very effectively in shards and shard packs.
  21. People buy gp and use it to buy rares, therefore rares go up.
  22. Sorry, I wasn't trying to offend you. I just meant train the ones that are really low compared to your others (the ones in the low 70s).
  23. I find it hard to believe that they'll just give us 1m xp. Everyone, even the developers, knows how bad that would be for the game.
  24. This, along with the other profitable dailies (sandstone, etc.) In the mean time, you can work on your abysmally low skills, since it doesn't sound like you need the money urgently.
