  1. Varrock anvil.
  2. Against 200 defense rating, you'll deal 16.07 damage per tick with a dragon scim, but only 13.46 with a dragon long. Against 100 defense rating, this increases to 22.78 and 18.93 respectively. With potions and 15% att and str prayers, this increases even more to 32.41 and 25.97. Scim is clearly a lot better.
  3. I just noticed at the top is says "Walk here Meredith (level 128)/ 4 more options"; how are you able to have the options to yourself? O_o Squigtime took the picture.
  4. They're just really stupid :P They are very stereotypical and flat right now. I'm hoping more quests change that but eh, in the meantime, I'll take my cheap humor where I can get it. I don't want humor in my quests, especially in ones that are supposed to be rich in detail and lore, like rotm. If they're in that quest I'm legit killing myself.
  5. They're just really stupid :P
  6. Am I the only one that absolutely despises the signature heroes? I think if they're in another quest I'm gonna kill myself.
  7. Wouldn't that be sparkly eyes? And they're not protecting a tree, but some unattractive pale girl that no man in his right mind would want to nail. I'd nail her, but that's mostly because I play runescape and I don't have many other choices.
  8. It is a good idea though, since rapiers alch for 10m. You can easily profit. Im lying
  9. Happens when you kill a juvenate.
  10. Superheat and smith gold in edge.
  11. Waterfiends, spiritual mages, aberrant spectres because they don't have att or str levels.
  12. I had an account that recently got a 2 week ban for botting, and it was unbanned today. To my surprise, there was literally no punishment after that. All my stats were intact, and I didn't lose any members credit. I didn't bot, but I'm disappointed in Jagex, because if I did, there'd be nothing stopping me from doing it again.
  13. Surely it is better to aim for sub 30s. Then once that is achieved work for sub 20s Then try and push to sub 15s After all it is easier to achieve if you feel you are meeting goals. Honestly, I doubt he'd be able to do a sub 15 in his first few floors, but once he understands how dungeoneering works, getting a sub 15 won't be difficult.
  14. Underground Pass and Darkness of Hallowvale. <3:
  15. Ideally, he would try to challenge himself by aiming for sub 15 meds, or at least consistent sub 20s, rather than just 30 mins.
  16. My concern is that it'd mess with the combat mechanic. I.e. because combat works on a dice roll system, each type of punch/kick/whatever would have a different max att/str/def roll. This would mean that there's going to be one move that's higher dps than the others, and that would mean it wouldn't take any skill at all. This would only work if Jagex completely changed the way that combat works, and I'm not convinced it'd be for the better.
  17. Smalls are probably better xp/hour, but you're encouraged to do meds, since they'll prepare you for larges.
  18. It takes away the prestige of the game. I remember when I used to look up to someone with a high level or a skill cape, and now everyone can just bot them and not work hard. I'm not sure why it bugs me, but it just does lol. Not that it had much prestige to begin with, 99% of the game relies on repetive clicking patterns then skill. I see why its heavily botted. Honestly the more i look at videos of people doing it, the more i think rule breaks (bug abusers, lurers, bot makers, etc.) are the only people in runescape who have actual skills in this game. It takes a lot more work for one of those bug abusers to find a working bug then it does to get 99 in your pointless skill. Or a lot more skill to lure someone to the wild then it does to get 99 thieving. It would take more skill for me to hack jagex undetected and max my account than it would to do either of those things, it still doesn't make it more respectable. Tbh, I'd respect you for that. It'd be pretty cool.
  19. Mod Edit: removed quote chain. If you haven't noticed, rs isn't played for fun anymore. Go suggest something fun in a thread in h&a. I dare you.
  20. Start doing herb runs, I think ranarr's the best at your level. Ya, if nifflins right, do toadflax. I was a lazy bastard and didn't feel like researching. Work on getting a decent total, I'd recommend setting at least 2k as your goal. That should keep you busy for a while.
  21. Following Archer's lead, I'm posting my research project from the-forums-that-must-not-be-named here on tif. The goal is to find the xp rates of the 3 resource skills as a function of level and equipment. This means we'll have to record whether or not a resource is received at every opportunity to receive a resource. The first portion of this project is to find when these opportunities occur. [spoiler=Known intervals]Fishing: 5 ticks Harpoon fishing: 8 ticks Dragon Pickaxe: ~30% 2 ticks, ~70% 3 ticks (requires A LOT more data) Rune Pickaxe: 3 ticks Dragon Hatchet: 4 ticks I also have a theory about how mining works that needs to be confirmed: Right now, this is my priority. I'd prefer that anyone who tests this be 99 mining with a lava titan, to reduce missed intervals. If you meet those criteria, record yourself mining concentrated gold. Use this http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/ to record and save your data. This makes it much easier for me to analyze the data. After all of this is finished, I'd like the following data: Hits/misses for each relevant level at teaks, ivy, and arctic pines. Hits/misses for each relevant level at sharks and monkfish. Hits/misses/distribution for each relevant level at salmon/trout and barbarian fishing. Hits/misses for each relevant level at iron. Hits/misses/double ores for each relevant level at concentrated gold and coal. Hits/misses/distribution for each relevant level at granite. Hits/misses for each hatchet at teaks, ivy, and arctic pines at 99 woodcutting. As far as I know, when you fish, a sound is played every time you attempt to catch a fish, so use this to log your hits/misses. If you'd like to participate in this project, post on my thread on xpw and I'll provide you with the necessary tools.
  22. No. And pray doesnt need a guide.
  23. I always forget to do herb runs
