RuneScape Information

  1. ADVERTISER: Google AdSense LANDING URL: http://www.gold4fun.com/?gclid=CJy08NGt3rACFYQGRQodAVi03A TYPE: Top Banner SITE: Gold4Fun.com MY LOCATION: Canada REASON: Selling RS Gold
  2. Hey there! I was recently looking over the Barbarian training guide, specifically in regards to Barbarian firemaking, and noticed that it mentioned using any type of bow that's not composite. I think it would be helpful to add that the Ogre Bow is not an option either. It is fairly logical and straightforward, but it would be sad to hike all the way there to find your one bow doesn't work. Thanks! =)
  3. Noticed that the Steel Scimitar pic is outdated. Here's the current on Runescape: I only have paint, so couldn't get rid of the backpack background. Also noticed...there's a pile of items missing weight information? Is this just uncollected information, or did something happen with the database? The steel scimi is around 1.35-1.45 kg (one is 1kg, 2 is 1kg, 3 is 5kg). Crew Edit: Added and credited, thanks! ~Juhniz
  4. Just some prices I found...like to know how much things are worth in the shop =D. Novite Ore - 105 gp Bathus Ore - 255 gp Marmaros Ore - 480 gp Kratonium Ore/Bar - 660 gp Fractite Ore/Bar - 915 gp Zephyrium Bar - 1065 gp Argonite Bar - 1335 gp All items that can be made from smithing, at least so far in my tests, are exactly the same price per ore/bar. The ores and bars were exactly the same price, so not more valuable to smith ore, besides the experience gained. The exception so far seems to be arrowheads, but haven't found a consistent pattern yet. Looks like almost twice the value if you make arrowheads. Tested Example: Zephyrium bar: 1065 gp Zephyrium pickaxe (requires one bar): 1065 gp Zephyrium chainmail (requires 3 bars): 3195 gp And now for a picture!
  5. I just recently made it to level 40 summoning (w00t!), and was happily about to try out my new bull ant familiar. I decided to try RCing with him, but alas! the bull ant (and very possibly other "regular" BoBs) is unable to carry pure essences! I think this could be helpful information for people. Of course, for me, it's just one pouch lost for this info, but could be nice to let my experience make other players aware =).
  6. I was doing agility training at Barbarian Outpost with a friend, was going around the track but noticed he only did the crumbling walls. So I calculated it...and it's approximately the same (if not more) experience to do 4 sets of crumbling walls (or 12 times of hurdling) as doing the entire course, including the lap finish bonus. Furthermore, on comparing the timing of the two, it's about 4 seconds longer to do 4 sets of walls, as compared to doing the entire course. Of course, it's 11 xp more than the entire course, and it's completely safe, so there's no need for food and you'd never get stalled having to climb out of a [bleep]e trap. I think this would be extremely helpful to include in the guide, especially as it would make it a lot easier for people to start using the course right at 35, instead of waiting till 40 to avoid failing dangerous tasks. At least half the credit goes to Darkhobo9, who was the one that was doing the wall circuit first.
  7. Just a small thing, if you could include a link in the Runecrafting guide to the Runecrafting Guild with the other "Useful Links", that would be very nice =).
  8. Just something I've experimented with a bit...I've found that using a small pouch doesn't seem worth the 2 extra rune essence. The time it takes to load it and unload it, while it might not seem like much, makes it so that using it can even take longer than just using med and larger pouches. I haven't tried just using a small alone, but my guess is that would be even slower. If you had to choose between going with no pouch or using only a small pouch, going with no pouch should be faster. Example: I timed myself doing a load of Law rune crafting. Did the exact same thing both times (didn't use run to be consistent), so timing should be as accurate as possible. With small pouch, I made 43 in 4:54 minutes, for an average of 8.776 laws per minute. Without small pouch, I made 41 in 4:40 minutes, for an average of 8.786 laws per minute. It's a very small difference in this example, over an hour period you're only making one less with a small pouch. Still, it is a difference, and can be noticeable with some places or over long enough peroids of time. This could go under pouches or under tips and tricks.
  9. I haven't seen anything about this anywhere...maybe you wouldn't consider it as much of a random event. Anyways, I've noticed that while you're in Zanaris you can have some random things happen. They do occur a lot more frequently than other random events (I had like 5 happen to me within 10 minutes). All of them happen very quickly and none of them have any rewards. The ones I've noticed are: You get changed into some sort of animal. So far I've become a chicken and a pig for sure. Possibly other animals. A frog will come along and say something random. I can't remember all of the things I've seen him say, but I remember something about dwarfs being short on cash...if you need I can try and write down when I see it next. The Zanaris choir will pop up and ask to follow you. They stick around for a minute or so, so you can talk to them before they disappear. Then sometimes your character will say "I have a sudden urge to dance!" and if you're standing still will start dancing all on his/her own. I don't have a picture for that one though. Hope this is helpful, if you want to use it. Thought it might be handy to have. [pokemama 21 Jul - this is a benign event, like Bob the Jagex cat and Postie Pete. It *could* be added, but ... the guide is quite long already. I'll leave this for future edit consideration. Thanks for providing pictures, that's very helpful!]
  10. Examine (brown?) squirrel between Falador and Barbarian village: "Shave the tail and you've got a rat." Examine Earth wizard: "His hands are covered in mud. At least, I hope that's mud." =P
