  1. I'll give my 2 cents here. I'm F2P and always have been. I have been playing RS since there were only 3 Philadelphia servers (maybe 5?). I'm in and out, and I really only play the game to pass the time. I don't play enough to want to get members, but since p2p has been accelerating I'm certainly thinking about it. I don't think F2P deserves any updates. Maybe a few here and there like the grand exchange and treasure trails items and the duel arena and new logs...little things like that. RS1 was pretty fun and it had 1/8 of the features we have today so I don't see why anyone is complaining. To Jagex, this is a business. Do you think they're sitting around only thinking about how to make the game fun? They have financial issues in mind, but yet they keep a pretty large part of the game free forever. A lot of other games are just like "Ok, no more F2P we're P2P now." Jagex could have done that and honestly they're being quite generous keeping half the servers open for free (those things can get costly). Perhaps there will come a time when P2P will be so updated that F2P will practically be a joke, but I don't see that coming. Just pay if you want more features jeeze. It's like 65 / year now. Go mow 2 or 3 people's lawns and you'll have a 1 year subscription lol. Don't wanna use a credit card? There's literally like 20 other methods of payment.
  2. Not being able to log in, servers down, lag...ARG
  3. I haven't been able to log in for a very long time now.
  4. Thank you that's the exact information I wanted/needed. I will be leveling and stocking my pure in the meantime. :D I just want 1 v 1. :(
  5. Well, putting it more broadly, are there any redeeming qualities you can tell me to make PKers "useful"? And I'll feel like staying pure if the answer is "yes" to the above, otherwise I won't feel like staying pure. Got it?
  6. The only reason people are supporting taking free-for-all PK out of the wild is because they're noobs and probably get owned there repeatedly. LOL And as for the people who "need" the wild to kill green draggys or something, tough luck, it's in the wild...that's how the game is. rofl my wofl
  7. I'm sure this has been asked already, but honestly I only played RS to pk so naturally I'm pretty pissed. I'm F2P and I heard bounty hunting was stupid because you just get teamed by a dozen 1-itemers, but is there any way at all to salvage all the work I put into my pure? Those random monsters in the wild are supposed to "replace" pkers, so do they drop anything good? Are they based on your level?
  8. level 1000 monster straight up F2p will get an update, just 1 or 2 huge ones and handful of small things and that's it...probably new dungeon and monsters and a set of TT armor or accessories or something
  9. So maybe 250 hours? *Doesn't sleep and kills zombies for the next 11 days* Pwned
  10. Well, how much exp can I get an hour from killing zombies in SOS? Oh, and str ammy or power ammy? :D
  11. Are they all the same speed or is dagger the fastest? Or something else?
  12. Oh, maybe you can't iggy people. Oh well, it will be a consciously visual process.
  13. I already said, if you like it, thats cool, but I dont. Then the fan-boys came out and tried to be intellectual Fan boy huh? Trying to be intellectual? You're the one that came in here saying the game was stupid trying to look all high and mighty. You can shut the hell up now. This is absolutely it. I'm done with you. You can ignore people on this forum right? Right. cya
  14. Yeah, it's an opinion thread. So you come here and call all the people who play it and love it geeks and nerds, and then say everyone laughs at us behind our backs? Way to contradict. Contradict? That's my opinion. ou don't have to agree with everyone's opinion. It's called forming your own ideas. No, you said all people that play are geeks and nerds. That would be like me saying "Only people that play RS are geeks and nerds that have no life", then say "This is a thread about opinions." and your point is? Those are both valid opinions. Opinions dont have to be positive -.- Im allowed to call whoever whatever I want, because its my opinion. What an idiotic statement. "Jews are all worthless." I'm allowed to call whoever, whatever I want, because it's my opinion. I guess I'm allowed, but I better be prepared to defend such nonsense from people who criticize me for criticizing others so idiotically. You sir...are what they call a fool. Thats the point of opinions. -.- you honestly dont make any sense. You honestly don't make any sense because you think all opinions are exactly the same. You lump matters of taste and matters of judgement and inference together. "I wish all Jews were dead because they are dogs." "All black people are filthy and dumb." "I like DDR" Notice the difference? No, of course not.
  15. BTW, most games don't require much intelligence at all. Zelda has a lot of nerds and geeks in their fan base so I guess that's a stupid game too. Oh, and I beat Ganondorf when I was about 9 or 10 which means I got through all the temples by myself.

  17. Yay, time to bash some nerd! :D 1) Why not? You don't gauge how good or bad something is by playing it; instead, you make judgments based on what you THINK it is? 2) Lots of activities make you sweaty...whether or not they are electronic should have no bearing on your opinion on the game. 3) I could say that swinging a giant stick to hit a ball is stupid looking. I could say that bouncing a ball for 32 minutes, trying to make it go into a small basket is stupid. How is moving your legs in order to hit four arrows stupid? 4) It is a great form of exercise. I stay in shape with it. People have lost hundreds of pounds playing DDR on a regular basis. 5)"Dancing - To move rhythmically usually to music, using prescribed or improvised steps and gestures." Pretty much sums up what DDR is all about. Yes, it's dancing. 6) So saying invalild statements about how DDR merits falling through floors makes you sound correct...I'll make a mental note. 7) I'm sure you play Halo 2, right? Something that really requires intelligence? 8) You don't need to memorize step charts unless you're freestyling. 9) The people who make fun of DDR'ers are jealous. I've dealt with so much mockery through the three years I've been playing. But could they beat me at DDR? No. If you show me someone who will make fun of me that has surpassed my skill level at DDR, I'll believe you. 10) Why the hell would you play DDR upstairs in a house? Play on the ground floor, idiot. [/bashing] bah I dont want to answer all those..but i'll try. 1. uh yes? it's called an opinion. Would you eat a pile of disgusting looking food, even if I told you it tasted great? No. It's because you already have a mid set that you wont like it. I decided I dont want to play it, and that's that. 2. getting sweaty at the mall, and then walking around after smelling and looking horrid is not my idea of a good time. Sure, you can play at home, but why spend the money if there's a ddr machine near by? (there's one a few minutes from my dorm, always crowded) 3. A matter of opinion. exactly. You're not making many valid points that arent opinion based, which is the point of the thread. 4. Jared also lost some large number of pounds eating subway. People "supposively" lose weight with those ads on tv. Id have to see it too believe it. 5. My idea of dancing isnt by myself, on a mat, with a planned out action. It's all about originality ;) But sure, you win there, it's "dancing" by definition. 6. That's one of my examples why I dont want to have it at my house. My dad always yells at me when im doing push ups or something that requires alot of pressure and movement on the floors because he hears the ceiling moving, and he's afraid the tv will fall. He gets scared about that easily, it's a very expensive tv. 7. I dont play halo 2 as much as I do games like Zelda and other adventure/problem solving games. Shoot em up games are always fun, but only if I'm bored. 8. I meant memorize where the arrows are. I noticed people, when they were first playing, had alot of trouble remembering where each arrow was, even though its obvious the right arrow is on the right, etc. 9. I doubt people are jealous. People like me just think it's lame to e doing that in a public place. We're the kind of people who dont like to be embarrased in public, because girls are around. it's a typical male thing. People who dont care as much about "looking cool" arent bothered by it. But we find it stupid. Matter of opinion. 10. That's even worse, as the ground floor tv is the very expensive one, and playing right next to it will probably make it fall over, as it's a flat screen, but its on a stand, and not against a wall. BAh, done 1. A pile of disgusting food is generally considered to be reprehensible. The difference between a baseball game and a DDR game is a matter of taste. Horrid analogy. 2. You can play a couple of songs and not get sweaty. If your fat, then that's your problem, don't play in public. Why spend money? It's always fun to play with others like it's always fun to play basketball with others instead of shooting hoops alone. 3. Yes opinion. 100% taste 4. Because those ads are more deceiving since they violate the laws of thermodynamics that state matter cannot be created nor destroyed. Exercise or fasting is required to lose weight (lose mass). As you pointed our earlier, you become sweaty when playing DDR...is that not getting exercise? 5. Yes opinion. 100% taste 6. Your dad is paranoid and that's your situation, not 1 million other people's who play DDR. 7. Yes opinion. 100% taste 8. When I first started playing, the only reason I missed arrows was because my body/fingers weren't used to moving that way and responding to a visual signal on the screen, over time you become accustomed to it and it becomes second nature. People who play often get good enough to where it looks like they're memorizing it but it's second nature to them...much like typing on your keyboard. 9. You doubt people are jealous. What are you basing this judgment on? (this isn't a matter of taste judgment, this is dealing more with sociology and psychology) I'm inferring from this that you think those who play DDR in public are merely trying to "look cool". This is also based on nothing except something you created in your little jock, fantasy land. Nice one you arrogant piece of garbage. 10. Again, this is your situation and not 1 million other people's. *yawn" I think this covers everything, I'm done.

  19. But if they're real enemies then won't they laugh at you behind your back for anything? I think he holds the exact opposite views of what he's expressing in this thread, but since he's a troll, he continues to act like an arrogant fool.
  20. Yeah, I guess when people are saying "Go Ben! Man you rock!" non sarcastically, they are making fun of me. This, of course, coming from a used-to-be prep. K. My big screen T.V., at normal volume, shakes NOTHING in our house. Solution = Don't play with the music so loud. not the volume -.- stepping on the floor shakes the floor, especially when you're getting in to the game. Shaking the floor vibrates the walls, and could knock over the tv. Im not going to risk having my father kill me, and owe him 9 grand. And yes, those people are usually the ones who laugh behind your back. just wait till highschool, you'll think people are on your side, or "have your back." but they dont. Aww, were you picked on in high school? It's okay, we're here for ya. Oh wait, actually we're all backstabbers...nvm. You can stop posting now troll.
  21. What the hell are you doing playing Runescape, then? Or really any game... it requires problem solving, which is what I'm good at. I'm not going to try this game because: 1. stepping around stupidly in patterns doesn't appeal to me 2. the idea of doing the above doesn't sound fun, but tedious 3. I dont get to shoot anything, solve any problems, or throw a 70 yard touchdown pass 4. 90% of the kids I see playing it at the mall/at my school are asian and nerdy. We had a ddr club in highschool...all geeks. so, yep, not playing. "Stepping around stupidly". It's only stupid to you. And maybe you didn't hear me when I said it's a national sport in Norway. It's not tedious once you get good, and no, that's not a matter of taste judgment. When I'm playing SM, it's almost second nature since I'm enjoying the song and hardly concentrating on the arrows. Your third point is a matter of taste. Your fourth point is another lame attempt at judging a game based on the fan base. *yawn*
  22. 1) You can play it by yourself 2) Ever heard of beginner? 3) That's just a perk. I dont think it looks fun. It's not even "dancing," its stomping your feat on pads. Id rather not fall through the floor doing some goofy game. Things to mentino about your posts: 1) The time when I played it in front of everyone in my class (25+ people), 20 or more were cheering me on. I don't think that's acting goofy 2) On standard, on a hard song, I VERY rarely get sweaty 3) What's a better name? "Step on arrows revolution" ? 4) I NEVER stomp, nor do I ever have to. 5) If you fall through the ceiling, you must have a crappy house. when you get older you'll learn that most of the people cheering are actually making fun of you. Sad, but true. My house is quite nice actually, Id just rather not risk shaking the floors and knocking over our tv, which is right under my room This is one of the lamest attempts at bashing DDR I have ever heard in my LIFE. Get real dude. Let's all just ignore this guy shall we? Anyway, I've been playing SM for 9 months and I love it. EDIT: I had to fix laugh to life. I guess your arguments really are a laugh, that's why I accidentally typed it.
  23. Dumb. I heard of one woman who lost something like 80 lbs playing DDR. Oh and did you know DDR is a national sport in Norway? I guess not. Looking stupid? I think it looks awesome when you get really good. It's for me and if you don't like then you don't like it. At that point it boils down to taste. Move along typical post here.
