classless society?! imagine... communism is fantastic by the way. also those that are actually better in some way shape or form could think of us as idiots.
  2. gotta be honest, not really one who gives a crap about clan wars or rankings. probably because i don't care what any one thinks about me. i'm also in a clan where i primarily just talk to people rather than go to events. prolly not a good idea because i'm about 2 weeks from getting kicked ftl. i've also been doing the same thing over and over again since early april. fun stuff though : .

how i love these moments. lend an ear why don't you? so i'm training str with my saradomin sword because i like it. so some one says "ss is noob tbh". i responded with an- eh i like it. and he says- w/e nerd. then like everything else, he started to sling insults at me trying to desperately end this so i could ignore him on a good note. so he happens to have a fletching cape and i have a quest cape. now i've made it a point to never have a 99 in anything just because it makes people stupid after getting it. i also want to be the person that says quests are better than 99's with lvl 98 skill in some respectable skill(s). anyway he says i'm a nerd without a skill cape. i say i hate skill capes. so he says yeah because you can't get any. if that were true, then i would have no 90 level skills. i'm about 100k or so away from 93 strength, i also have 30m+ in money. it's not hard for me to buy a cape like yours and get it in less than 2 weeks. especially since i'm already level 85/86 (don't know for sure) in fletching. so he goes on saying nerd, and all of this other stuff. so i ask him what makes a nerd? is it no lifeing? no lifers are better. i'm a no lifer. hold up. so if i spent every free minute i have playing runescape that makes me better than a nerd? then god damn i'd rather be a nerd. i'd at least have a life other than a video game... proud nerd for lyfe :XD:
  4. i'd go to a ba game to confirm this, but i don't have the patience nor the proper intention span to do so. stop flaming me plox >.
  5. did it because i'd get muted/banned for a lil while. also did it as a backup account in case something went horribly wrong :uhh:. i was going to make it a strength pure but got distracted and my prayer is my highest combat skill  . woops. also when i've got my kill count in gwd and i don't want to waste timer on my familiar but still have to wait on clan to catch up, just hop on my 2nd account and just cut yews in edge. it's pretty much a convenience thing. i could live without it. it doesn't have amazing skills... the only thing i did was get 60 woodcutting on it. and even then i did it in like less than a week. that was funny because i remember it being much longer when i was doing it on my main. you got yourself a good point though :?
  6. before i started ba i saw the tutorial. those were new and it was a truly awesome thing jagex puts those in. (the stealing creation tutorial was the best one imo. found out what to do immediately) i didn't really know what to do once i got into the game i'll admit. my first game i was a collector and the stupid thing kept changing on me so i had to call like every 10 seconds it seemed. i was on a team with high level'd 100's (before summoning came. first week it came out) and they were livid that i didn't know exactly what i was doing. i did however make the right calls, not just click the horn expecting the right style to be said for me. i was an "ok" player. could be better but it's a collector so who really gives a crap? then i got better as every one does, and now my lowest role is lvl 4 atk. here's some stuff that annoys me too getting a decent team that won't ditch once they can get torso why aren't some people wearing armor?!??!!? after hitting the quickchat thing that says your role (qc's like a legalized macro typer. it's awesome.) and people go up to you and demand you be another role. well sorry but i have 500 points in every other role, leave me alone. by the way the defender loses points in the game if the penace runner is killed with the cannon, not the entire team. look at the advanced breakdown, you get points for runners you killed. it won't get negative but you're just taking one away. i tell people not to shoot my runners and when they do i leave right before the last thing is killed, just to make them infuriated. i know it works too :

i've said this once on a thread i made before. this is a game. you have a fake character doing fake things in a "real game". if something happens to that character, a guy in ireland will not quit just because he found out some guy died from a mummy in pyramid plunder. if anything he's laughing his [wagon] off. the things you lose and the things you gain are purely pixels. it may be more than just a made up bunch of numbers to you but by the end of the day it's just a picture of a mythical item. if you play this game, [i know] it's for enjoyment. and if something is ruining this enjoyment for you, then find a solution and learn that others will have to learn that too. if people call you sad, a nerd, noob, or other words of the sort then ignore them. we have a red frowning face for a reason. stuff does happen that pisses us off. don't get me wrong, ranting/venting is fine, but when you go and say that people have to do something in the game to suite your wants or needs, i'm bound to reply. i play for me and me only so if i leave a mummy alone, then i left a mummy alone. welcome to social Darwinism.
  8. are you freaking kidding me? the daily show and the colbert report are about as far as you can get from true politics. its on freaking comedy central for a reason. ughh... his satire on politics. i don't use the daily show as a primary source of information, it's a source of entertainment.
  9. i'm not an expert on global warming but my brother gave me some material that i found interesting. he basically said that people are profiting off of the global warming scare and that they're doing this by using terrorist tactics- saying that all of the bad things that people such as gore said can and will happen. if i was in the wind turbine and solar panel business then i'd be loving al gore right now. edit: you just said i was ignorant without saying why. if i'm as ignorant as you say please enlighten me. i guess you want to debate the global warming thing and if you want to, then you go for it, but don't go and say that i'm ignorant without giving any grounds for saying so. god i hate it when people do this... it's like a hit and run...
  10. the benefits of reading the news outwieghs the benefits of not doing so. or at least i've seen that be the case to a lot of people. i'm a huge fan of john stewart and any one that has watched him for about 30 minutes that he's all about politics. also- if you don't pay attention to news then you're not just not knowing what is going on around you, you are excluding a very important part. human nature. i'm not going to say that i understand human nature because i'm consistently baffled by it. it's seriously the most confusing thing i've ever come to learning. i also want to be able to answer if (when?) i have kids come up to me and ask about an event that happened in my generation. i think it's awesome that when i ask my dad about the 70's and 60's and he can answer. you get more than bliss with ignorance. the duck thing- (i didn't miss it, i just forgot to include you in my post. sorry.) in a nutshell i was saying if you act like an atheist, have the same type of thought as an atheist, and have the same views as an atheist, then you're atheist. just saying that you're a catholic, Cristian, Jewish etc. doesn't make you it. it's all about faith and beliefs, and if you don't believe in all of that mumbo jumbo then your living a lie. george carlin said something along of the lines of "i never knew it was possible but now they have people believing in "the invisible man"". hope that'll clear it up. being the change you want (or what ever he said)- tried it in a small scale experiment and it went up in flames. persistence is key i guess but i'm just throwing rocks at the moon in trying.
  11. dear l0rd, never said i was special. just basically said that i hate knowing some of the things that make the world what it is. that is my main defense, not that i'm "worldly" as you put it. you comparison is... flawed. let me rephrase how i find it a handicap. if i knew nothing of the aforementioned topics, then i think i'd come out to be a better person. your going against how i feel about these topics is snide. you are claiming that i'm a snob in that i feel that i'm special because i apparently think that other people don't know of the current state of how things are. i love how you put words in my mouth though. do go on. i never thought i was special in that i made a rant on the current problems of today. i felt that the things i brought up would provide a lengthly discussion and i wanted to know every one's opinion on it. i do no feel that i'm special. and yes you're quite right that any one (rather every one as you put it) with a brain can understand the conflict can occur within a society. well i'm not trying to enlighten anyone. the columbine thing happened 10 years ago and it was just that the anniversary was recently that made me want to bring it up. the global warming crisis has been going on since well before the 80's. the mexican drug cartel has been a problem ever since they found out how to mass produce cocaine which i think was way before my fathers time. the religion issue is about as old as time itself. the quote about religion being the opiate of society is from karl marx. 19th century. the gay rights has been around for decades, obesity started right around the turn of the century. how old is the fcc? i believe george carlin was making fun of it before i was even a tear in my mothers eye. how am i special for bringing up past subjects? it's not like these are things that are totally new or radical. i've seen a guy with a hammer and sickle as his avatar and i'm going to assume he's a supporter of communism for some blatant reasons. communism preaches about abolishment of religion (the karl marx thing is being brought up again but bear with me). you find one person on this thread that has no idea what i'm talking about. they alllllll know and they all have given fantastic responses. all i really have done with all of these things is state my opinion on them, criticize them and hope that the solution is one that i have provided. i never meant for any one to feel inferior to me and if you did, well then i apologize for the miscommunication. i don't think i should defend myself on how i view current events unless i'm saying something that offends you. ~end~ every one else- why do you care about stem stell research, a bucket list, or your biggest mistake. those are some topics that are in the off topic forum. my intent on making this thread is to make a discussion and see how people view these issues. i like to hear peoples opinions on them. is this really too hard to understand? i've seen a bunch of people say this and it's making me fairly mad.
  12. i love what he just said right there.
  13. assumptions, assumptions, assumptions. you are wrong. what i do with current problems is i just take notice to them and i have discussions about them. the majority of what i said have to do with government spending and social reform. there's a small list of things i'd like to see been done before the end of my lifetime. one would be homosexual rights, no restriction on any form of actions that your government does and finally a war that i can agree with that is (not sure on the reasons but i'm sure that i'll never see it). i do not feel proud of this hatred i have for the world. i see it as a handicap. one of my favorite quotes is ignorance is bliss. i find it paranoia that i have all this knowledge of how the world is an imperfect place, so i feel a need to rant because i'm pissed that it isn't perfect. i could go on about that but that's a philosophical issue not a global one. let me just say that by declaring my hatred of the world i am accepting it. there is hate within each and every individual and for you to say that my hate is one of potentially dangerous results is not one that is correct. if you knew me-which you don't- then you'd view me as a happy-go-lucky guy. i care about peoples problems and i try to help any one i come in contact with. one of the reasons why i put the columbine rant down is because it impacted me so much and the fact that it was tainted with people wanting to make money just infuriates me. i can't try to explain why i'm mad without reiterating what i have already said, but i shall say it anyway. i don't think that any person should capitalize off of peoples emotions that come with the death of a person. don't assume peoples character because you did for mine.
  14. i didn't read the majority of posts made by people for the fact that i requested that they do something to show that they actually read the who rant. some of the responces i read were fairly constructive. basically with the mexico-divorce comparison is basically a shoutout against the drug cartels that are in mexico because america demands illegal drugs. i guess my mindset was different from yours ( as in the person reading this) so i guess the joke is only funny to me. i could re-word it but that's for a later time. some one said something about me not doing any research. please realize that i did this because i had to get it off of my chest. i typed that all up in about 30-40 minutes. when i was done it was 3 in the morning. all i'm really doing by saying all the things i did is throwing my opinions on the topic, and some specifics that i thought were crucial to the argument. drugs- ok i guess i was a little not clear about the drugs thing. illegal drugs are bad. that's why they are illegal. end of story. if marijuana gets legalized then that's fine with me because it doesn't effect me in the least. some one said that you can't overdose as much on lsd or something. well if it's possible to overdose on a drug then why make it legal at all? also if there's a risk of dependency then, once again, it should be illegal which it is. and the grammer thing- i guess i can fix that. i used apostrophe's didn't i? just some commas here and there and some people will get happier i guess. i see like 5 spots where i need commas in this post and guess what. i'm not gonna fix them. cry me a river, i'm fixing the big post first. going to add some more topics later. ~edit~ added some topics. looked at the first post on this thread and i just thought to myself: why bother? edit2: i read all of your posts. read some funny posts that made me lol. violin thing was funny, the creedence thing was as well. also~ i know some one who does marijuana and they're a teacher and another is a person that has the ability to make 6 figure salaries (doesn't want to move just yet so he isn't taking the job). so the sterotypical view is [sort of] accurate but there are some exceptions to the rule.
  15. such a broad topic, but if you have the patience for a read about how pessimistic i am for our society, then do go on. i'm kinda pissed off right now at how the world is going right now so i made a little rant. oh how the times have shaped us. we are in economic turmoil and we demand our government give us a solution while asking for a free market. we have an obesity epidemic that has taken the world by storm. it's now been called a disease and people are convinced that there is something wrong with them if they are overweight. sorry, but if you only work and watch tv, your bound to influence your body to produce some fat. religion. oh how it has shaped our world so drastically! there's always a conflict in the middle east, and quite honestly the stuff that goes on there.... it scares me to a cold sweat. people would casually talk about a hotel being blown up when if that happened here, we'd make it a national remembrance day. are the lives that are in a different country less significant than ours? well from what i've seen from my peers, i assume so. but you all know what happens when you assume ;) more irony about religion is that people will never go to church, make jokes about other religions and say that George carlins skit on religion was the funniest thing they ever heard. well i shall tell you something, if you don't preach of a god, don't believe in a god, then you probably don't believe in a god. same concept of- if it smells like a duck, sounds like a duck, looks like a duck, it's safe to say that it is a duck. human rights. who am i to say that the world is perfect? it's perfectly imperfect, i'll tell you that. china has the right to go into your house without a warrant, they can arrest you without trial and by the way you can't speak out against it. and to think that they're in the united nations and hosted the Olympics. just pure cluster(enter your f bomb here) So the FCC won't let me be Or let me be me, so let me see They try to shut me down on MTV But it feels so empty, without me. good ol' rap music. good thing our tax dollars goes towards censoring it. that and the tv we watch. that and the radio we hear. that and the books we read. that and the things buy. that and the contracts we sign. man..... a government for the people by the people tells us what we can and can't hear. i find that odd! drugs. they kill you. end of story. hey dad the next door neighbor is fighting with his children and wife. they might get a divorce and it'll cost them a lot of money. i dunno if the dad will be able to live with himself if he goes through with this. well son looks like we're going to have them a lot of foriegn aid, demand illegal drugs from them and buy oil from them. what no that's mexico and the united states. my bad :? edit: ~if you don't understand this, then don't worry it was horribly written~ rachel scott. columbine. 13 people dead and apparently only one of them is truly important. so she wrote a diary about how she was going to die, how she was going to impact the world, how the hands that she drew on the wall inback of her dresser will touch the lives of millions. i find it funny that if you knew that you were going to die, and that you were going to impact lots of people.... why didn't you know that 13 people were going to die as a result of 2 kids being "bullied" at school? i guess that's a little too supernatural. well i guess if people are going to capitalize off of your death, i might as well rant on it. lets get something straight- yeah it sucks that you died it truly does. but it also sucks that 12 other people died. you are no more important than those other 12 people and they are unsung victims. any one in high school knows who rachel scott is but no one knows the other people that died because they decided to go to school. i hate your father. iraqistan. that's a joke in poor taste, i apologize. if you asked some one in the us why there is american occupation in iraq and they gave you an answer along the lines of establishing a government and riding it of insurgency, then you pat that guy on the back. Now, if you could ask them why we have a few thousand troops in korea, germany, and other countries that we have had occupation in since we were at war with them that'd be nice too. don't expect as good an answer because i just found that out on an international news website (not for profit) that we have some thousand troops in korea. obama: korea if you launch that missile we will deffinitley not be happy and we will totally do something about it! right guys?? guys: [yells in unisene ]YEAH! [talk amongst them selves] what the [bleep] are we going to do :ohnoes: ?..... obama: so we're going to give you foreign aid in the form of oil. guys: [yells in agreement] YEAH! [whisper amongst themselves] thank god i didn't do that. guys=the united nations. about as useful as an English to Spanish dictionary in a Japanese restaurant. general:[to soldier] welcome home soldier you did a mighty fine job protecting freedom in the name of the united states. you now have a government pension and the experience you need to go out into the job feild. but good luck gettin' a job. [runs away] global warming. i don't quite know what that is but i know that the world is going to explode, we're going to have an ice age and oil is going to be really expensive. if you got this far put an asterisk in your post at the very end. all at the same time. lets throw some more tax dollars towards something that we think is even more useless. hey i mean we got the fcc to make sure we spend our money on the right things right?! (there were some exaderations here such as the world blowing up.) homeless problem. i was homeless and then i got to harvard, graduated and became a successful lawyer. that's amazing isn't it?! a homeless person a lawyer!? never would have crossed my mind. but uhh.... lets not give them any 2nd chances because quite honestly they're homeless it's THEIR fault *cough cough* Bernie maidoff, mortgage crisis *cough cough* jee golly gosh! i don't quite know what this socialism thing that obama is talkin about but it sure sounds awesome! lets call us the united lanark society of america! you all know what happened to that "utopia" right? sorry but i'm mad at the world right now. i kind of winged this whole argument in like the span of 30 minutes so it's very flawed. feel free to flame it because i'll return. ~take 2~ more religion! religion is the opiate of society. it is. there have been more wars in the name of religion than in any other cause. also more casulties. quite honestly, i blame all of our current problems on religion. the holocaust was mostly against the jews so i'm going to shimmy that in there. some people may disagree with me. also- gay rights. i'm 100% for it. i'm a heterosexual, i have friends that are gay. i find it to be totall and utter bs that some one cannot be allowed a human right because Eleanor Roosevelt put between a man and a woman instead of between two human couples. and if you want to say that you're going to hell if you are supporting gay marriage/are in a gay relationship, then you know what? that's their perogitive. people have killed before and the part where some one told them they're going to hell never stopped them. during the jim crow laws you couldn't marry outside of your own race. that was a HUGE thing that came after the seperate but equal thing was abolished. you are silly if you think that changing the definition of marriage is an impossible feat that shouldn't be done. if you don't want to say that they are married, then fine. we shall call it a union between two people. i don't care as long as they have the same exact benefits as a heterosexual couple. [yells in exasperated voice]. obama- there's black president and i couldn't be more happy for you. seriously. i voted independent, does that make me a racist? it doesn't so shut the (f-bomb) up. now stop treating him like a celebrity and more like the leader of our (the united states) country. illegal immigration- you got here illegally you A: deserve absolutely no rights because you're taking advantage of our country. you wanted those rights? well you shouldn't have broken international law. B: you should go back to your country. you come back here legally and with papers and such then i welcome you. enjoy your stay in america. but if you're illegal, i don't like you at all, unless your a child caught in the cross hairs, then it's not your fault. vegetarians- yes, i know what they do to the cows. i saw a documentary on it and yet i'm still having a hard time caring. yes that sounds very very very very cruel but guess what? the meat i eat was probably made unnaturally so in my opinion they weren't supposed to be on the earth anyway. so i don't care and leave your morals to yourself and don't you try to convert me. global warming- you say environmental holocaust one more time and i swear to god i'll education- i dun get y dese peeps dun lke seplling gud. its lyke dumb. so you dropped out of high school? well unless: A: your going to get your GED, B: get a profession that you were guaranteed C: something serious came up and the school wasn't giving you a choice (i've heard some messed up things). D: you work on a farm. ~if you read all of this then i love you no homo. please put a dollar sign in your post regardless of whether or not you support any of these topics~ E: you're forced to support your family. then have fun working minimum wage for the rest of your life. i vote yay for sterilizing you. i probably offended a LOT of people, but unless you didn't get into those 3 columns or have a good explanation as to why you dropped out, then i feel no pity for you. without an education you are nothing. realize that and accept it. english- god it would be so awesome if the national language of america would be english..... i would just cry tears of joy if that happened. i'm serious.... yo no habla espanol. sorry :/
  16. i was recently training strength because i just kinda.... did. i was at stealing creation for a long time and i got a crap load of sacred clay helmets. i just trained strength with my ss and i bought things i thought i never would buy (zerker ring) because i'd never use them but i found that training with them made it easier. i made it to 92 strength and i took a moment because i ran out of helmets and thought whether to get 99 strength or get 98 as a stubborn way to thumb my nose at skill capes. i finally decided to sell my saradomin sword, get a whip and a dfs do some more stealing creation and train attack. it took longer but i don't see getting 92 strength as an achievement. it was just something i got along the way. it was like going to the gas station during a long trip pretty much. it didn't take like a week either. i trained it from about early march to like a week or 2 ago. you might say that it took a long time for me to do that but realize that i had to do stealing creation, deal with what i had to do irl as well as go on vacations. i also spent absolutely no money on food too because the food i ate were cakes (you can eat them in one bite with the cornucopia from the thanksgiving event making it an awesome training food) so quite honestly if i kinda like dozed off during that whole thing, then it's not really an achievement i believe. if i truely worked on it and had to pay attention to everything i was doing then it is really something to be proud of. ~think of it this way~ i do amazing in my global studies and english class. whenever i get a good grade in that class i just discard it after the period is over because i think to myself that i only really wanted to know A: what i got wrong and B: how well i did. but the fact that i got a 90 out of 100 is about the same as me getting a bagel to eat in the morning. i don't consider it an achievement it's just something i just kinda.... did. Now some one who is doing [does] terrible in global/english and if they get a good grade in that class then they get ecstatic and are it just makes their life that much better for them. for me english is like getting 99 strength/fletching and global would be another skill. if you want a cooking cape example, physical education class: all you have to do is change into your shorts and basically pretend you're participating. when you get an A or a B you don't really care because it was like a nothing grade. so basically when some one says "you don't have a 99? psh you're a(n) [insult]" so it's like me not doing amazing in a class it's just that i don't want to apply myself for that because i feel i have better things to do with my time.
  17. 4. binary? 0's and 1's mean nothing to me other than values of ten.
  18. your right! they said every one else must count collectively. 10
  19. 3. just found out that my e-mail has been putting this thread down as spam. so annoying -.-
  20. it's safe to say the majority of people don't want to go around mining iron all day on f2p. it's boring monotnus and it's got the excitement of a lecture about the history of german anthropology in a language you can't understand. if i wanted to mine iron all day i might as well just play tetris. it's more exciting and i can show my talents on youtube and get millions of views. you are amoung a minority of people who don't like updates. if people don't like updates then there would be none. jagex is a slave to their consumers and if they want updates, updates they shall get. however with the opening up of forums, updates shall be slowed down. otherwise enjoy your iron. i'll go play stealing creation.
