I love it when a minority of players complain and rant about something a private company did in order to attract more customers :lol: advertising is just a simple way of showing your product off to the world. by your logic, after advertising on miniclip, the runescape population boomed, causing more people to get attracted to it. now instead of every one hearing about an online (IT'S ON THE INTERNET! NOTHING IS SECRET ON THE INTERNET)game through their friends, they can just go to google and find runescape to be one of the results when they type in java games. Jagex made flash games way before they made runescape, so isn't it common sense that if you want your game that appeals to people who play flash games, to ADVERTISE on a website that is loaded with flash games??? by the way- i noticed that you speak more about the present in runescape more than the past. what i'm also finding is you gave something that sounds horrible in rsc than what todays game provides. also the dragon medium, dba, and the dlong being the only dragon items that were out (as i'm being told from the story) during that period makes it seem like a really bland, predictable, boring game. f2p wilderness combat is the most boring because you're not -somewhat- entertained by the occasional special attack that can speed stuff up a little. it also gives greater variability when you're fighting against some one with the thought of so many weapons and armors out at the present time. there's a few simple reasons i don't pk. the first: it's been around long enough for people to perfect it to a fine tune, second: the items that you have to use now to even be so much as a threat to some one is worth over 10m so if you die or make a tiny mistake, you're out at least 13m. GOD i hate your example of runescape. it's of the worst i've seen. if i want better i can go read some reminiscer on the tip.it

apparently this game has gotten so boring that we're using roman numerals and different languages. a person used 111 and apparently that counts :-s are we at 15 right now? 15?

i've checked and 3rd infact isn't the best armor in the game- thanks pureprayer. torag's helmet is better than dharoks (and ironically cheaper. odd how the best armor in the game is also of the cheapest) however. don't know if i said that yet but i'm throwing it out there. verac's plateskirt has better range protection than dharok's platelegs by 8 points, as well as a +4 prayer bonus (it's 200k more expensive which, among other armors, makes sense). so here's the best defense in the game setup right here: dfs, verac's plateskirt, torag/verac/guthan helmet, dragon boots, dragon gaunlets, fire cape, some stupid ring, obby staff, fury. i researched all of those items and they have the best defense bonuses in the game. they can't be beaten by any single piece of armor as of now. you're welcome.

i wasn't referring to the set effect of dharoks, i was referring to the defense bonuses. and dharok doesn't have crappy defense bonuses. in fact, it has one of the best in the game. if you want to go into the price range of about, 50 million i don't think you can get any better defense. for less than 1.5m you can get a lot of bang for your buck. i didn't expect this thread to come back but either way i think this is a good argument. :D

food for thought- the quest cape is 90k (i think? i don't know i have like 4 of them in my bank and had 15m in my inventory when i bought em) and the normal skill capes are 100k. is the quest cape better making it cheaper or is it worse making it obvious that it would cost less than a skill cape. i'm giving fuel to the fire against my argument but meh. flames warm my hands so if there's going to be one on this thread, hey better enjoy what the players provide eh?

If one of those three computers is a lap-top, just park it next to one of the desk-tops and surf on one while playing on the other. If not, then...what the hell are you doing with three desk-tops at home? I have a netbook (tiny laptop) and a portable dvd player I use as a tv. So I can surf the net (Or do my homework), and watch House while I Runescape. It's the ultimate entertainment system, imo. :thumbup: i could catch up on lost and dexter. i miss watching my shows =\
