What is the best way to get to 85. Currently I am mining gold after doing between a rock. I thought that would be great exp plus great smith exp, but it is soooooo slow.

the guide said the harder the monster the longer and harder the trail and the better reward, and I just finished a jelly clue lvl 3 and the reward was aweful, rune battle axe, some runes and a black chaps

I know jellies drop them often, but are only lvl 78, while hellhounds drop them often too and are over 100. Does that mean I should kill hellhounds for clue scrolls?

i want to get my smith up in the process.

What is the best way to get there? Not the fastest, not the most profitable, but the best mix or exp and profit. I am thinking coal trucks all the way and buy mith and addy ores to make bars. Thoughts?
