Are you kidding? You are saying getting a "skill" cape takes more talent then fire cape? Have you ever entered the Fight Caves? Anyone can do a repititive action to raise the numbers, some better than others, but training is not hard for any skill if you just take the time. There are lvl 126s (with 99 atk, str, and def, duh) that do not have fire capes cause it is hard. You can't just try enough to get it. You actually have to be good at it. Fire cape cannot be done by any person even if it has been done by many characters. Plus getting it is much harder now that diagonal movement is possible.

This is a cool thread, but bringing it back to its roots a little. The best way to make guarnteed money is runecrafting. That is as a member. With only 44 rc you can make 150k+ an hour depending on how dedicated you are to the abyss. And as you are training you can make the runes that you need for your mage. P.S. You might wanna look at PK and duel stats to help you make the combat character you want. Could keep you from wanting to make multiple accounts.

definitely worth it. I have made over 1 mil using ancients with lvl 77 and 72 mage. Lol. On melee noobs. P.S. Like 400k from same guy.

RC is the fastest guarnteed way to make money. The fastest possible is good merching and staking.

I think there are some quests to get barrows gloves and some wrench that makes pray pots better. What quests would they be or if I am just wrong how do you them. Thanks in advance.

Yeah you can buy them there. I have seen the message before too but I didn't have becoming a girl for recruitment drive. Idk. It might be the quest boots are small for the sherpa and you can wear purchased ones.

Wow. This makes me reevalute my own bank. Seeing that just that accumulates over a million gp. My bank must be over 10 mil even though I rarely have more then 1 mil in cash at any time. If you are not goin' to play any more then don't sell and just drop. Having more items makes the drop more interesting then one big drop.

If you do it by getting supplies and fletching you could get to 99 mage with getting to 99 flecthing. Badaboom. Mage trim cape.

Well, sitting in fish stores buying raw and selling cooked is clearly the way most ppl get 99. Your other option is making pizzas in wild I guess. The fastest way to make guarnteed money is RC no doubt, but merch is good too, but not my style.

I find this discussion very interesting. I still like my last choice. I think smithing cape will be pretty rad but that will just take time. I don't like melee, personally. So I think the capes are cool but not for me. Fire cape seems to be good for me and I will be proud to get one at 77. I just need to get prayer switches down for Jad which I think I understand pretty well. Healers scare me though with only 50 def.

I think I know what I will do. Buy flax and yew logs and p ess. Make yew bows and high alch to get mage up some for fight caves and after I get fire cape. I will get 99 fletch. Then work on 99 range and mage. What do you think?

I got my mud for about 1.3. It does not seem to be mystic but it casts curse all the same.

I have 77 smith and I have always heard port p as shortest furnace and west varrock as shortest anvil. Both have doors but doesn't matter much in crowded worlds.

I was doin' slayer and a guy told me he gets 3 lvl 3 clues a day from Hellhounds.

I must be missing some major RS secrets then cause my stats are all below 90 and I have played for 4 years. I don't just play a little either. I play like 4 or 5 hours a days. I would love to have a 99 even though I will wear the fire cape instead. How do you get all these 99s so fast?

I use crystal, but everyone tells me RXB with unholy is better.... Idk. I got to 58 with crystals, 81 range, and 50 def. I am confident I will get to Jad next time. I would say get your range to 70 first or you will not be able to keep pray pots/s restores. You could try Guthans method but I not heard to good about it unless you are like 100+. You will still need range.

Well, it seems that the easiest cape to get would be fire cape. As odd as that may seem at my 77 combat. As I said, I got to wave 58 last time. I learned a lot through that adventure and I do not doubt that I will make it to Jad on my next attempt. I will try again with my crystal bows and if i do not succeed then I guess I will try with RXB. I now have have 5 crystal bows of different charges in my bank.... I think I will try sometime this weekend with a 9/10 bow and full. The way I see it. I can get a fire cape in 3 or 4 hours. Maybe doubling or tripling that in attempts (maybe more), but I hope not. OR, I can spend a couple months getting a skill cape that is "not respectable." Or go crazy for like a year to get a "good" skill cape. I am feeling fire cape and I will get my range cape in time with a trim from smithing. Someday!

Capes have become a way of showing off your achievements in Runescape for some time now. I remember when there was only the various colored capes. Then wildy capes were released. The strong characters had the coolest wild capes from deep in the wilderness. Beyond that was the desired white cape of legends. I remember I was a proud man with my legends cape. However, many many more things have filled that slot now. Currently I use an ava. Now the superior capes seem to be Fire Cape and Skill Capes. Which is more respectable? Some say fire because it is a battle with the highest lvl monster, but people argue that since low lvls aquired them by luring before diagonal movement was added. Others say skill cape is the best, but ppl don't respect them sometimes saying they just paid to get the lvl. I want to get one. I have not decided which. My highest skill is range at 81. Then smith at 77 and fletch at 73. Seems like fletch cape would be easiest to get. How much time and money would it cost with what method? Fire cape seems good as well. I have done fight caves twice. First time atking a 360 while letting a 90 hammer me and dieing in the late 20s. The second time I ran out of blood spells and died at 58 when I just couldn't keep my hp up(still had 11 s restores though). So what should I do? Get fire cape? Skill cape? Fletch? Or what?

The places they mentioned are common. Common does not equal fastest because of crowds. Blue dragons are a drop based monster to fight and would assume a lot of banking. Not fast but profitable. Lessers have a much lower range defense then those and can be killed quickly for fast exp at kara volcano. If you are concerned I am 81 range.

Ummm. Fast and high lvl. Don't care about drops.... I would say go with lessers. They are not crowded p2p so you can continually fire at them and can safe a stalagmites. Possible dragon drop but that doesn't matter I guess.

Picking up is so annoying. i would just go somewhere ava works.

I would say dragons. I usually do greens but blues been dropping even better for me. One day last week I got 2 (lvl 3) clues from killing 4 blue dragons. 1st drag: Coins 2nd drag: Clue Did clue and got some rune junk and sharks then went back 3rd drag: 3 laws 4th drag: Clue Did clue and got rune junk and laws =] I have never gotten a great clue reward but i have done lots of lvl 3 clues. Some day....

And I am stuck with 5 of them. I don't think they are best for fight caves either though. I got to wave 58 with them.... I will use rune xbow next time....
