To compress if using gimp or PS save as jpg at 100% or shrink/crop it. Neither of them look like much blending IMO. Sir Hatlar's looks ruined IMO by the thick border shrink it a little.

Yeah it looks like just a simple text, black border, sepia filter, and a noise or w/e to get the shaddery effect. but still a good job.

I made $5k-6k last year with promotion solely from facebook. How much did you make from your art in your lifetime? Also won $1500 in prize from a contest last november.... Do tell, because really whats there that can be wrong with it? composition, no... since the fly' is going to be applied to a program, not just rectangular image you see colors, maybe... but like I stated they're not final. & I have more to go. The only thing you could would be the cut-off of the antenna, which I can fix, or take the jaggedness of the vector and pass that idea/theme on to the program. Free-lance line artists perhaps. But those who work for companies like DC and Marvel are paid in salary, they have to complete so many per year (depending on how many issues of that comic franchise are to come out) They work like a manufacturing line, just like a car factory. Someone does the concept > goes on to be drawn by another person > goes on to be colored by yet another person > then they often have people who put in the dialog > and finally someone who gets it ready for prints, and production. Thus, you admitted I was right... and I'm a pretty crappy artist I can get some opinions by some people on here. So, take my "amateur" advice or logic whatever you want. Also, who says rectangle images can't be great... Look at an art gallery... About 90% are rectangle such as the Mona Lisa. So, go to your little crew that follows you around and says "Oh, LP that is such amazing artwork you did by yourself. Your AWSOME!".

Ok I'll add some stuff to the list. :thumbsup: Pyro--you mean the shading? or the figure? You are suppose to trace the figure with the path tool and fill. For the shading on this tut it says to use Black and set at 20 to 30 Occupacy(Spelling?). Ill make one maybe with just darker colors if that's what you mean. Star-Yeah I know I just like how smooth gimp is Layers and tools wise. More Familiar. I'm trying to get more accustom to Inkscape by doing pure drawings and maybe a vectoring of an image.
