There seems to be confusion about the screenshot, it's an example of what i want to be able to choose from my computer, the screenshot in the first picture is from another computer. This is mine:

I have them plugged into the rear speaker jack at the moment. I don't know if my text is a bit cryptic, but i haven't got anything plugged into the headphone jack. The text about the front side was just to say that i am able to choose what i've plugged in on the front jack. But i am not entirely sure of what you are trying to say about the rear speakers, are you suggesting that i should choose another jack for them or what? Confused. The setup i got is the Logitech X-530 5.1. I am gonna try and see if i can get a driver which are a couple of years older that Win7 allows me to install, which works the way i want.

Specs are in the pic thread, but anyways: AMD 4670, Intel E4500 2.7ghz, Foxconn 946GZ7MA-KS2H mobo, 4gb ram. The picture i posted was an example picture of what i want to see on my computer, the screenshot is from another computer here which runs Vista.

Hi. I changed my OS from Win XP to 7 a few days ago, and one thing that annoys me is Realtek. I don't remember which version i had of the audio manager but this one i got atm (driver - 6.0.1.6363, codec - alc883, latest one from their site) doesn't work as i want to. The one in XP allowed me to choose what sort of speaker i plugged into the computer, i used to choose the rear speakers as front speakers to get a fuller sound. However, this one in Win7 won't allow me. It doesn't allow me to choose what type i plug in, so it's on rear speakers, which doesn't really contribute that much to the sound environment. The test sound in the audio manager is as full on the rear as the front speakers, but not when i play music. I'd like some suggestions if possible. Thanks. Edit: I mean this is the pop-up window that i want: I tried to install the Realtek program that's aimed for my mobo from Foxconns website, but it refuses to install "installation failed"... blablabla argh, [developmentally delayed] [cabbage] ass programs! Edit2: If i click "disable front panel jack detection", i can click the mic and speaker jack on the audio manager, but i still can't click the back panel icons...

Maybe one should suggest emailing the manufacturer support before declaring them dead.

I wouldn't like to be fat nor skinny. I'm 182cm on 82kg (about 180lbs), but i workout a few times per week, so it's not 10 extra kilos of crisps. That being said, i'd rather weigh 110kg after some years in the gym than what i am now. My current BMI is apperently 25 lol.

Thoughts on tonight? It's a shame that Fletcher has been out for a couple of months, i saw him in the last game and damn, he'd lost several kilos. Him+Park would be so useful against Barca. Seeing Busquets (spelling?) against Vidic will be nice (tho they won't meet so often on field, .. but you know what i mean). Only because i want United to win, i'll say 2-1.

If you want AMD, why not wait a couple of weeks for the new cpu's to come? The X6 is only useful if you work with multi-threaded programs, not for gaming. Otherwise an X4 or i5 cpu. 64bit, or i'll throw fish at your house. I use Win7 premium because i don't find the extra stuff on pro worth it. I don't know what graphics card you want, what do you plan to do? The 5850 is around 100€ here in Europe, which is a great price. It's a bit difficult to recommend anything without knowing a total budget.

Might be recent since 3 years ago when I bought my Asus there was only like 2 or 3 bloatware programs. Writing this on my dad's Asus K52 which he bought a month ago, not much crap programs to speak of. I only uninstalled a couple. Not anywhere near Packard Bell in terms of crap-ware for example.

If you want to pull that card, why allow parents to make any body-related decisions for their children at all? Oh for christ sake, circumcision is a choice that should be decided by the guy himself when he is old enough, not due to religious or whatever belief, unless it's a medical situation. This is my, so it seems, crazy viewpoint on this forum.

Oh yeah, being anti-semitic for wanting to ban circumcision. It should be decided when the person is old enough if any.

Nein. You only need a basic test like gaming on an Intel/AMD cpu to see the performance differences.

Just a quick point- That hard drive is a 6gb/s model, which the motherboard doesn't support, so it'd run at 3 gb/s. Seems Samsung's spinpoint f4s have gone up by about $40 since last time I checked, so I can't reccomend that. I've heard good things about Hitachi's drives, and they have a pretty cheap terabyte drive with a 32mb cache, which is kind of like RAM for your hard drive. It's only $15 more for 3x the capacity. Go 64-bit or don't bother building, and you might be able to go without the optical drive for a month or two if you don't use game disks. As others have said, an extra hundred or two would go a long ways towards getting you a better computer. About Samsung drives, i don't know if they'll still be produced or not in the future (just rebranding the models and so on), since Seagate bought Samsung's hard drive division recently.
