  1. I have a Nokia 6610i. It's nearly 2 years old, I think. For the majority of the time, I end up using it to receive calls instead of making them. The internet's so much quicker and more efficient for communication nowadays, I think. And besides: the landline is cheaper for outbound calls. Then again, there's VoIP as well...
  2. It's near impossible for me to have a single favourite of anything. I go through dramatic phases of different genres, then grow tired of them, find something new, etc etc.. At the moment: - Foreign / World Music - especially French (anything, as long as it's in French - to help with listening..) - Soundtracks: anything ranging from anime soundtracks (Samurai Champloo OST) to movie soundtracks (The Pianist) - Golden oldies: Cilla Black, the Righteous Brothers. I'm not a big fan of 'contemporary' music...
  3. Sneaky Sound System - I Love it Kaiser Chiefs - I Predict a Riot
  4. Without attaching labels to certain OSs in being the best, most of computers I use are pre-installed with Windows XP Professional SP2. I've been using Windows-based computers since the age of 6 (I still remember Windows 3.1), so I've never considered changing...
  5. You can't really compare and contrast them because they're used in different contexts. Without making too many assumptions, in one sense: Noob is predominantly used in annoyance. Lol is used as a conversation filler, for lack of response - something to say when there's nothing else you can say. Too often I LOL - it's one of the few ways to convey humour to others from a bunch of letters, which, otherwise, could be interpreted (emotively) different ways. I need to be more succinct, I think. :?
  6. I don't really have a favourite skill... I don't play regularly enough to allow for one. I might train a skill for a couple of days, then not play RS again for 8 months. Then start playing again and train something else.
  7. If we're talking purely about ethnics: then Chinese, mainly from the Cantonese region (north of HK). Yes, I'm a pure Chinese. BUT: If we start bringing nurture and culture into this, then: an Australian-born Chinese to French-speaking parents born in an originally-British colony.
  8. In keeping this succinct: full mime and jester scarf.
  9. I doubt anyone would have heard of these games, but: it's a Chinese (Taiwanese, from memory) RPG game series called Sword of the Emperor. The gameplay and graphics were stunning, but I couldn't read a single word of a dialogue. Hopeless, but fun nonetheless. Hence, couldn't get to the end and solve the 'worded' puzzles. Raargh.
  10. Currently listening to: l'Air du Temps ('the air of time' - it doesn't translate well into English from French. raargh. sounds rather weird.), by C̮̩̉̉cilia Cara and Florent Pagny.
  11. Yuu Watase's Fushigi Yuugi. Yes, it's old (1996?) and I've only watched it in Japanese with poor English subtitles, but it's fantastic. It became the inspiration for my weird RS name - Suzaku no Miko => Suzaku's Miko => Suzaku Smiko. Next up: Cowboy Bebop. Then Samurai Champloo. Gotta love Mugen.
  12. It really depends on your armour, weapon, range level and availability of arrows. I usually train on rapid. On accurate, there's always the common 'chance' of hitting a zero (more than twice in succession), so why not a double 10 on rapid, too? Essentially, I think if looked at in this way, both firing methods balance each other out. Which method you choose just depends on your patience, maybe (if you're continually hitting zeroes on accurate, then you might switch to rapid).
  13. During school term: I don't play at all. During the 2-month Christmas school holidays: maybe about 20 hours a week. I really don't know. 2 months of holidays really leaves your mind blank.
  14. Search results for "Suzaku Smiko": 0. The name has a slanted Japanese origin, so yeah. No results. How original, indeed.
  15. As has already been mentioned, mainly by setting goals, or limits. Untertaking one of your examples: fishing. I'm F2P, so the only reasonable fishing spot is, evidently, Karamja. Once 300 gp (5 trips) has been used up on travel, then I usually stop, and take a break. Next example: runecrafting. I set a goal for the number of respective runes I want to craft (usually dependant on the number of trips, once again). As for woodcutting... I haven't trained that in a while, so I honestly wouldn't know, hmm.
  16. To the tip.it community, Hi there. I'm Obsessive Passion, and my RS name is Suzaku Smiko. I've been playing the game on-and-off since Feb of 2002, and have seen immense changes, varying from the ridiculous 'need' to carry sleeping bags, to the advent of the new graphics engine - RS2. My main interests? Learning languages and travelling - I'm currently doing my sixth continuous year of French study. Aside: I'm a pedantic perfectionist. Steering this post back on track... I'm F2P, always have been, probably always will be (I'm doing the Higher School Certificate this year - so lack of time is always an issue). Despite all the criticism floating around over the years, I've always loved RuneScape, which has kept me playing all these years. I look forward to a great time on these forums. >> obsessive passion.
