  1. Hmm, I seem to be the odd one out. Currently listening to: Le Fant̮̫̉̉me de l'Op̮̩̉̉ra - le Point de Non-Retour (Point of no return)
  2. It depends what you mean by a 'second lifestyle'. If, as Nick_6464 just said, it allows you to experience situations out of your ordinary day-to-day lifestyle, then yes, of course. Sometimes, it acts as an 'escape' for me as well. After 2 weeks of stressful exams, I play RS to relax. It's good to know that you can 'succeed' in this game no matter who you are, what level you are, where you come from, etc.
  3. I wouldn't, no. It's the same reason why I haven't taken out RuneScape membership - I only play during school holidays so membership paid on a monthly-basis for monthly-access isn't worth it. I wouldn't be getting my money's worth. Also: what would happen with foreign currencies? Would they calculate the fee based on a set forex rate? Or would they accept only USD?
  4. I attend an all-girls school, so that problem doesn't really exist. We have teachers patrolling the grounds at all times, security cameras installed on a couple of buildings. So consequently, we're well behaved... Most of the time. Regarding dances... We don't have them. Instead, we have 'formals' for years 10 - 12 only. So, high-heels, make-up, hair done, tight cocktail dresses. Dressed like that, the only dancing that goes on is the romantic head-on-shoulder swaying from side-to-side... thing.
  5. Apart from the different geographical locations (Hiroshima, Nagasaki), from memory, the bombs were different. They had the same effect, but the method was different. "The Hiroshima bomb achieved [its enormous burst of energy] by firing one piece of fissile material (uranium-235) into another; the Nagasaki bomb 'imploded' an outer casing of TNT onto the fissile material" (Guiness Encyclopaedia, 1990). As for China... 'China confirms anti-satellite weapon test, says nothing to fear', Beijing (AFP). Retrieved [24-01-07]. I think these tests were a great demonstration to the United States that China is, indeed, a 'sleeping giant' (just as the US was during WWII).
  6. To the P2P players who disagree entirely with F2P updates: You do realise, however, that you will also receive these updates, should any be made to the F2P worlds. As for my opinion, I'm currently sitting on the fence. But I can't be entirely ignorant and claim that I don't care because it does affect me in the end. I don't play regularly enough to have sufficient passion to debate this topic, but here's my view. Vague as it is, updates would be nice, but they aren't necessary. I'm not greedy, so I appreciate the amount of the game which is already accessible to F2P. Yes, it is true, 'you get what you pay for', but I think the idea of essentially 'scrapping' F2P is somewhat unreasonable. Previous posters have already mentioned the excessive numbers of F2P players, and the convenience of having an extra F2P account, so there's no need for me to re-clarify them.
  7. Yeah, maybe it is a recent addition. I usually run in the opposite direction when I see the evil chook (waste of time, in my opinion, to stand and fight it... for feathers!?), so I've never heard it saying that. Hmm, it's rather funny though.
  8. I take breaks quite frequently at every half hour, but from memory: 2 mime events (nearly back-to-back) , 1 strange box, 1 drunken dwarf and a shade (if that counts) - in about 20 mins, I think?
  9. Well, it's good the issue was cleared up immediately without much misunderstanding. I've heard of Extras, never heard of the latter you mentioned. Most of the good shows are on pay TV, which I don't have, unfortunately. And free-to-air is dominated by American export shows, all following more or less the same format. Australian comedy? In my opinion, we barely have any. But, anyway. :D
  10. But its just the same jokes.. over and over again. Its catchphrase comedy, lowest common denominator. Little Britain is so overrated, it always beats real quality original comedy in awards I just dont understand why? Well then, I apologise for having a difference sense of humour. No offence, truly, but have you ever watched Australian comedy before? If you compare L.B. to the stuff we get down here, then you'll probably see what I mean. A lot of our comedy series have either been axed or are broadcasted at 10:30 PM, demonstrating their overall nature... And I think a lot of Australians will agree with me. Overrated? In your opinion, it may be. And yes, I do respect it. But: either way, the stage show is more or less booked out for February here in Sydney. It seems to be much more of a success than that Titanic musical. Hmm. Then again, what is 'real original comedy'? Heck, I love Frank Spencer in Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, and Are You Being Served?, but I'm sure not many others do since those episodes were given the axe on Channel 7, so...
  11. Well, apart from getting killed by a cow, what I really loved was walking around and discovering new things for myself. Entering buildings in and around Varrock, climbing ladders to see what's upstairs. Examining different objects just to see what I'd 'observe'. I remember this sweet innocence of simply not knowing what I was doing, where I was going, or what the heck I was even wielding (a wooden shield...!?).
  12. I wouldn't make strength amulets for profit. The only time I make any type of amulet is when I collect gems from monster drops or mining. Then, I stockpile them at the bank. So, for me, no costs are incurred, but finding buyers for them always proves difficult.
  13. The park in Falador. I don't know, I've always liked that bridge.
  14. su.za.ku smi.ko v. to pick up all bones from the ground and consequently bury them whilst 'passing through' an area, regardless of location and the number of bystanders.
  15. In terms of design, the layout is very clean. The side contents bar is well organised, and the colour combination works well - not too hard on the eyes and not provoking either. Extra functions such as the google tip.it search bar are very useful - it saves having to search around for information. The pages are always quick to load, which is great.
  16. Training defence on the new-looking zombies in SOS. They use their swords like walking sticks.. And their 'death' sequence takes so much longer.
  17. Well, if "combat" counts as a single skill, then... Combat. Been training from lvl 88 since the start of the school holidays.
  18. Little Britain: The Complete Third Series. I bought it a little while back, just after Christmas at the sales. And it's fantastic! Better than the Series 1 and 2, I think.
  19. It Ain't Me Babe - Walk the Line OST.
  20. Phantom of the Opera (OLC) - down once more / track down this murderer "Farewell my fallen idol and false friend. One by one I've watched illusions shattered..." "Past all hope of cries for help: no point in fighting, for either way you choose, you cannot win..."
  21. I used to suffer from pretty bad acne in my early teens. I tried a lot of facial cleansers - Neutrogena, Clearasil, Clean & Clear. Apart from popping them, there wasn't else much I could do. Nowadays, it's no longer a big problem. I still choose facial cleansers and moisturisers with salicylic acid though. Whether it's effective or not, I don't know. But they still cleanse and remove make-up, so it works for me.
  22. The Blood Bank also came to our school around October last year. If I wasn't recovering from a chest infection, I would've donated blood. Thankfully I didn't though: I had an assessment that same afternoon and from the looks on some girls faces who did donate and their own testimonies, it wasn't a pleasant experience. One girl was 'stabbed' 5 times because they couldn't find the vein. In the end, they gave up. Yes, "it takes someone special to donate blood" (ad campaign), but for those who can, it's rewarding for both parties. With the public health system atrocious as it already is, small things like this can really help.
  23. Even if she herself grew up in poverty?
