You know then you chose what the name of the file is? add an .png after the name of the file. *.bmp is also acceptable it just ussually takes up more space. And *.jpg of a good quality is also acceptable. (Quality 100 in Gimp, Quality 10 in Photoshop - Only 1 quality in Paint which is equal to 10 in Gimp and 1 in Photoshop as far as i know).
