  1. Ok, thought that was for official Tip It events. This is tonight, to the post above me. Does that change things?
  2. Hi, I am trying to get a Barbarian Assault team together. However, I will request the following out of the teammates. 1. I am trying to get a fighter hat, I will be changing roles when I reach the point count I need.(275 each role, kill queen) 2. I will be collector in round 10.( I am best at that) 3. If I am done with points, and we are doing well, I will be collector, as I can get a fair amount of points as that role. 4. The team must call, obviously. 5. The team MUST cannon any runners that present themselves as targets. I need the collector to store eggs, and anyone who is done with their role to attack runners with the cannon. It does not reduce points, it is the runners getting past that drains points. I will be defender at 1st, and I will be primarily cannoning the runners. 6. I would like everyone to decide on a role for round 10 beforehand. That way, we can all get the points we need in round 1-9. (for torso: 365 in all non round 10 roles, 295 points in round 10 role.) 7. As a side note for anyone who is attacker when I am collector. Call, but call correctly. I don't NEED you to call. But if you are fast and accurate, do so. 8. another side note to attackers. Keep auto retaliation off, and STOP ATTACKING when you dont know the style. Use a longsword or scimitar to use all styles, DO NOT USE weapons that cannot attack in Accurate/Aggressive/Controlled/Defensive 9. To healer: Call for defender, unless we all decide to cannon all the runners.(I did a round, without killing one runner, cannoned them all, 26 points) 10: Defender: I would like you to mostly cannon the runners.   3. Well, I tried this out. I never liked the risk of pking, but just the fighting another player in single way, and non duel arena. I like it. Not enough to make me come back to the game permanently right now, considering that I just canceled my membership due to boredom and dislike of the combat system and player base. Which hasn't changed. But it is a nice little diversion for myself while I waste my credit. Bought a dark bow, hardly really end up using it, as usual. I'll hold onto it, if I come back, the pvp updates may be in play. Meaning it will most likely have gone up by then. Oh, question to those more knowledgeable. Not using food or protection prayers, is 2 kills on average before dieing good? Particularly with just mithril arrows? 88 hp, 60 prayer, 83 range, 94 defense.
  4. Not using a whip. Last I checked, whips dont have +95 stab. If you need a clue, look at my avatar. :D But the estimate is all I needed, so thanks.
  5. Ok, I was wondering if anyone will know a rough estimate for this. Average defense exp obtainable with 75 str, +95 stab, +91 str, and no pots. Bandits are a good monster to use, but a rough estimate for general training would be best. My guess is 50k/hr. which will, once my new bunyips are used up, put me at a lvl of 97 def. Also related. With 16 bunyip trips, how long would it take to go from 98-99 defense, reasonably. My guess is two straight training days, non all nighters. Say, 8-11 hours a trip. Its summer, i can do this, howsoever sad it is.
  6. Hello, as a lot of us are aware, magic is a sorely neglected combat skill within runescape. I was thinking of additions to the skill, some increasing damage, others increasing other forms of lethality. I've thought up a few spells for each book, mostly related to combat. Changes to requirements/runes used are welcome, as I don't train mage much, and as such, unaware if I make something overpowered. 1st up: Modern magic additions Lvl 53: Blind, 5 earth runes, 10 water, 2 natures: this spell is a close range spell, so its only melee range. it stuns your foe for 10 seconds, they cannot attack within this time. the stun wears out if they are attacked. Lvl 65: Knockback, 10 earth runes, 20 water, 4 natures: this spell knocks back and stuns anyone around you for 10 seconds. same `conditions as Blind. only affects melee range around you. Lvl 75: Knockdown: 10 earth, 20 water, 3 natures: melee range spell. knocks back, damages, and stuns opponent for 15 seconds. same conditions as Blind. Lvl 85: Tremor: 20 earth runes, 30 water, 5 natures: Halberd range spell, knocks back, stuns for 15 seconds,reduces run energy and inflicts damage to foes up to two spaces around you. Lvl 25: Weight: 5 earth, 5 air, 1 body: reduces foes agility and run energy by 10% Lvl 40: Fatigue: 10 earth, 10 air, 5 body: reduces foes agiltiy and run energy by 15% Lvl 60: exhaustion: 15 earth, 15 air, 2 soul: reduces foes agility and run energy by 25% Lvl 80: Failure: 20 earth, 20 air, 5 soul: reduces foes agility and run energy by 50% Ancient Magic Lvl 90:Smoke attunement: No idea for runes: increase poison to 6, max of barrage to 32, 5 mins Lvl 95:Darkness attunement: No idea for runes: Increase atk decrease to 25%, max for barrage to 35, 5 mins Lvl 99:Blood attunement: no idea for runes:Increase heal to 35%, max for barrage to 38 Lvl 99:Ice attunement: no idea for runes: increase freeze to 25 seconds, max of barrage to 40 Lvl 80: forsake: no idea for runes, reduce prayer to 0, reduce opponents prayer to 0,and run energy by 50% Lunar Magic: Barrier from melee:No idea for runes: cast on another person, 25% protection from melee attacks, 25% reduction of damage, sacrifice defense to cast, 5 min duration Barrier from magic:No idea for runes: cast on another, 25% protection from magic, 25% reduction of magic damage, sacrifice defense, 5 min duration Barrier from range:No idea for runes: cast on another, 25% protection from range, 25% reduction of range damage, sacrifice defense, 5 min duration Banish summon:Accuracy of spell depends on foes summon, you magic lvl and summon lvl, and foes magic defense/defense/summon lvl, no idea for runes, spell has a chance of banishing a summon based on factors represented.
  7. Id say its a combo of both things you said. One is truth(bots) One wont happen(life rune) Summoning will, in no way, be related to magic. The life rune was never released, nor is planned to. However, now is the time to mine p ess =p Normal market fluctuation in short, lengthened by Grand Exchange restrictions. Edit: Read a post above, see merching isnt dead, yay! Lol, more honest now id have to say, more like usual marketing. It is kinda like the stock market isnt it? Sadly, I wish I would've seen the d bow price drop, and the whip increase.. could've had about 1.5m more gp atm =p I dunno about summoning in terms on effect on items, I doubt eggs will ever be on the ge, being a low lvl summon item most likely.(chicken eggs btw) tortise shell hoarding anyone? lol.
  8. Nice to see this up. Hey, about the range setup? why is it always a zammy book? I use rune kites, helps def, and since honestly, +10 range wont help as much as + mid 40s in the defense stats. Addy kites if your cheap. Just my opinion anyway. Glad to see its finally up though, hope I helped a bit in it. (Gave the code to Deaders log btw)
  9. I find revenants a challenge, but not impossible. My sig has my combat stats, and I can take the lvl 105 orcs. If you are worried about them, heres some info I've picked up. The ball is the magic attack, it teleblocks as a side effect The ice is the range attack, it freezes as a side effect Melee is....melee, it hurts as a side effect :D Most hit 20+, in fact, my tip is to expect 20+ dmg from them if not ready for them. As for gravestones, you cant loot the body anymore, but you do lose items if the stone vanishes.(which is why you should get at least an ornate one, 5k restless ghost quest, 3 min protection, easy.)
  10. I think I may get a few of my remaining friends together to fight some of these revenants.(sp?) I want to see if they have any decent drops, considering their exceptional abilities and AI. For example: I had a whip, black d hide top, and legs. nothing else. A lvl 92 greater, and 81 lesser took off maybe 15 hp. One lvl 64 revenant hobgoblin got me down to 9 hp before it died. And I have 81 defense. I like these new monsters. Also, I noticed some things, when it froze me, it sidestepped to get out of melee range. When I pro-maged, it meleed. MY advice, if you do try to fight these, use dhide, it protects against all attacks =P Thats what I plan to do. As for BH. Either: A single and multi combat area. Or, a mage who teles you to a much smaller version of the old wilderness. With a small, limited in some way, bank in the south(non wild) And the wilderness to the north. This "new wild" would have to be much smaller than the old wilderness. The fringes of the area would have to be patrolled by Revanents to stop drop traders. You can't tele out. Period. To get out, you have to go through a portal, or speak to that mage. (Perhaps it could be Freneskae, the home of the Marrajaht(sp?) )
  11. I'll attempt to ride this out. An rs without friendly gifts to each other... An rs without true, fair, loot share.... An rs without a free market..... An rs without a community..... Is this truly worth an rs without RWT?
  12. I'm going to attempt to ride this storm out. I'm noticing the problems though. Gifts, convenience trades, etc. I cant give gifts to people come January, I cant share expensive drops with friends, I can't give some person a set of iron armor pretty soon. I can't give someone a death pile back. I can't duel. I didn't pk before, so that doesn't matter. They need a gift system, or some changes to the trading if rs will survive this. I'll stay till Summoning. If the trading is as bad as I expect.... (Loyal player for 4 years, don't destroy the social aspect of rs....)

  14. I was once. He wanted to "try" out my Darkbow. He teled, and logged. Still trying to get it back, Lucky clues lately, so the Marketplace will help me sell them, and get my Darkbow back :D I know he still plays, since he is on the highscores. I've only seen him online once, for a few seconds. I haven't forgiven him. It isnt the darkbow, but the fact he took my trust and used it for his own gain. Thats why I dont like him. I havn't put him on ignore yet, mainly because I want to confront him sometime. I have learned from that though. I only have one friend I'd trust that I only know in game atm. Even then it's kinda shaky, I wouldn't loan what I couldn't get back.
  15. Well, Ive seen many things pointing to a few new online games. (mechscape) Thats my best guess. And if you consider the fact that this info has only recently been leaked on the internet... Just my guess. Personally, I don't know if i would play it along with rs. but i might.
