  1. Okay, so low-level players begging is alright. Sometimes I try to give them the benefit of the doubt and actually, god forbid, explain what they could do to make the money THEMSELVES. I like to pretend that it works sometimes. Of course, what really bugs me is high-level beggars. Seriously, I'm walking to Al-Kharid from lumbridge, and some level 75 asks me for the 15gp to get in to al-kharid. OKAY, STOP RIGHT THERE. First: Prince Ali Treasure - you're level 75 and haven't done it? I suppose that's believable, not everyone's the same kind of quest-addict as me. Second: You don't have 15 gp? FIFTEEN COINS?! Seriously, I haven't had less than 100k in my bank in 10 levels without immediately working on making money. Besides, you can't make it? Chop down some trees? Kill five goblins? Perhaps not. Maybe, Third: There's a way into Al-Kharid that takes two more minutes of walking!! I won't go into teleports, since I was on F2P at the time, but still. Perhaps I was too explicit there. I think I was just trying to make the point that ANY level 75 player should be competent enough to understand what one can do to make such a paltry sum as 15gp. ... Right? Or, perhaps, there's the case of the level 117 asking me for 15k. Well, see, here's a different problem entirely. At this point I'm in P2P, a wonderful tool that provides many, many more opportunities for making money. I don't know, maybe I'm being harsh. But what really gets to me is that when I refuse, he calls me a noob. I'm just like, "I'm not the one begging for money from someone 30 levels lower than he is..." Is it just me? I hope it's not just me.
  2. Quests. Oh, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways: I'm a level 84 with 202 quest points. When I level up, I do so in increments of quest requirements. Well, that's about it. I love quests, and therefore I love these articles. Interestingly, though it may not have been the best written article, I most enjoyed the fourth one. When I finished the dorgeshuun quest series, and defeated the Bandos avatar using Zanik's crossbow, I felt a bit of sadness alongside my joy of completing a quest, which I recognized only as the feeling I get knowing a great story has ended. That's why I like quests, as opposed to repetitive grinding or greedy moneymaking. There's a real storyline and, to an extent, emotional interest. On my first, now defunct, account, I'd only played plague city and biohazard, and they were the first quests I played on my current account, because they were the primary quests I remembered. Quest series' really bring a depth and interest to the game that make runescape a much greater experience to play, and that's what reached me most about any of the articles this week.
  3. Here's one I heard a while back. Interestingly, the noob in question was around my level, at the time 70-ish: Noob: "hey i need 15gp to go to al kharid" Me: "No?" Noob: "cmon give me some gp" Me: "Okay srsly? You haven't done Prince Ali Rescue even?" Noob: "no are you gonna give me money" Me: "Kill some goblins maybe?" Noob: "no give me gp" Me: "Go north around the toll?!" Noob: "are you gona give me money or not?!" At this point I left. One I heard today, actually, after having mined about 1500 pure ess (the spelling's approximate): "can u maek runes from pure ess 2?" #-o
  4. Hmm, my other stats are... mining-51 smithing-41 fishing-59 cooking-58 rcing-36 farming-25 herblore-27 crafting-44 fming-44 wcing-50 hunter-15 Those are all the ones that seem to be related to making money/producing something. If you want others just ask.
  5. Well, not exactly a noob, but a lvl 78 who's sure as hell not going to hunt Tormented Demons for his cash. I've been mining pure ess, which is pretty easy and good money (near-100k/hr), but I was wondering if there might be any ways I missed to make better cash at my lvl.
  6. Wow, man, you mean that I'll actually be able to FIND things now??!! Freaking excellent!
  7. I used to think that the level 3s wearing the strange green clothes and chopping down yews were just in a secret club! I tried to talk to one, but it didn't respond... Seriously, that happened when I was a level 20. But anyway, yeah, autoers suck. I even just google'd "runescape macroer," and it gave me a website for power levelers for RS, WoW, and way, way more.
  8. You know what I did on my first day on Runescape? Yeah, neither do I. What I do remember, though, is going west of Fally, around the makeover mage, and having to ask everyone where I was. Yeah, I had no idea at all. :)
  9. Yo. Oh, right, say something... Yeah. KKer's here, everyone. Worship me. Hehe, known as kker v2 on RS.
