  1. I find that RWT has very little impact on RS as a whole but i still want bots and autoers to be blasted off the face of RS but I dont believe these new updates are nessecary
  2. no i'm saying that no damage is done to the economy also i'm only trying to give another side of the argument
  3. yeah i'm gonna edit it a bit EDIT:not so much of an eyesore now
  4. I'd like to say i am not an autoer, bot staker merchant or pure and it would be nice to know what people think of my article.
  5. Autoers, bots, merchants, stakers and pures. Jagex seems to not like these people and are determined to rid runescape of them, whatever the cost. WeÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve seen some drastic changes to uproot these ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâvillainsÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢. The duel arena changes, the grand exchange, bounty hunter and finally no drop trades or unbalanced trades. People are mainly unhappy about the new updates and those who do like the new updates say things like ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâwell done for getting rid of RWTÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ or ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâyou did what you had to JagexÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢, but not that many people are actually saying the updates themselves are good. Now coming back to the 5 ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâvillainsÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢, most people will agree that bots and autoers are bad, some people dislike pures but no one seems to dislike or hate merchants and stakers (except Jagex). Stakers merely gamble on their fighting skills to win some money or item, thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s not breaking the rules thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s just a way of making money. Merchants were quite abundant in numbers (until fairly recently for obvious reasons) and many see them as a good thing, as they keep the RS economy moving and ensure that prices donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t fall. IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m guessing Jagex donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t like these people because they make lots of money without the need of high level skills and they see it as effectively cheating as they are not working hard to earn the money they make. But merchants are actually clever people, they see a hole in the market and the fill it which keeps the market running and stops prices from crashing (or inflating out of control). Pures are people who specialise in an area of combat(s) but they always have 1 defence. They donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t break the rules, but for theyÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re level they tend to be stronger than a non pure which Jagex probably thinks that pures are too strong and that they make too much money out of staking and pking too easily. And finally onto the autoers and bots, Jagex hates their guts for making money out of the game they created. As I have said before many agree that these are bad people and Jagex says they cause lots of damage to RS, but that couldnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be further from the truth. They get lots of raw materials and put them on the market which skillers or (merchants) buy. The RS money they sell in RWT goes to a player who uses it to buy things so all the money goes back into the economy, so no damage is really done to the economy. The only problem with autoers and bots is that they take up areas which honest players use to harvest their own raw materials, and what they are doing is morally wrong. So merchants, pures and stakers are not villains and there is some good done by autoers and bots. But Jagex has developed tunnel vision; they just want to destroy these players and donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t care about anything else and I feel that they are trying to hard to rid RS of these players. But the thing is is that if you have all these players in existence then it shows that the economy is wide and diverse with lots of money to be made. If these people donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t exist it shows that the economy is poor and weak with little money to be made. With JagexÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s new updates they havenÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t really thought about the implications and consequences and have rushed out the updates without thinking through properly and this has had huge knock-on effects. People have been saying how runescape is sick and killing the patient to kill the disease is not the answer, but when did this ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâdiseaseÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ start? The answer is the grand exchange. Upon releasing the grand exchange the economy started to spiral downwards and many prices became messed up and this is the autoers and bots fault. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâBut hang onÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ you cry ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâyou said that bots and autoers arenÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t badÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ and yes I did and that still stands. By releasing the grand exchange it made it easier for autoers and bots, they could collect their produce and stick it on there and then the could go off to continue farming raw materials instead of using the forums or standing in a populated world selling it there. So Jagex effectively stabbed us in the back, not only did they make autoers and bots lives easier they also started to trash our economy. Then after that the just threw some more updates at the problem and even when people were angry about the updates they just say ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâwe need to do these updates, we know this wonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t make us Mr. popularÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ and yeah ok I respect that, but they did what only a fool would do ad trash the game for the majority to destroy the minority of ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâvillainsÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢. This makes no sense as they are supposed to make the game better not worse. Also IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve noticed that none of these updates were in the December preview did Jagex want to hide these updates? Many of the problems could have been avoided, for example instead of shrinking the wildy, introducing bounty hunter and ruining pking they could of just banned trading in the wildy and put a limit on the amount of coins you can bring into the wildy i.e. 10k. The grand exchange is good but you need to remove the 5% (and 5 and the percentage sign just happen to be on the same keyboard button) thing and add a search option which solves the depression problem and stops autoers and bots ruining the game. They could have also added more low level aggressive npcs in autoer and bot heavy areas. Also whatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s stupid is how theyÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re undoing their own work, there are worlds for rune running which wonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be possible after the unbalanced trade updates and loot share will be ruined. Also a big problem with the 3k drop rule is that if your inventory is full with items and you get a really good drop from a monster you may not be able to drop anything to pick that up as everything in your inventory could be worth more than 3k. The point IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m trying to make is that Jagex has made out these players as our enemies and that these drastic updates are needed to destroy them but thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s not true. Many people are saying RS is dead or dieing and I agree with them, RS is dead (or dieing) as long as Jagex are in a mess making updates that only drag the game down. Jagex thinks they have struck RWT the final blow but really the bots and autoers are laughing in JagexÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s face as they find ways round the new updates and as money becomes more difficult to make its likely that more people will turn to RWT for cash, making the black market oh so biggerÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâæÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâæÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ
  6. i get the feeling we haven't seen the last of RWT, with the GE messed up prices and expensive items like chefs delight can be made cheaply....... but i agree they need to balance things out. the wilderness update was overkill they could have just banned trading in the wildy...... and added a couple of minor things.....
  7. sadly i dont think this is the end for RWT and there is more of these updates to come, they're gonna try and redeem themselves with summoning
  8. an interesting article. but i think when it comes down to it the cause of people getting high skills is money, not always to make money but to save money. but i think with costs falling as they are more people will stop skilling because 1. theres not enough money to be made and 2.things are much cheaper to buy but the problem comes with no.2 is that lots of people buy and not many sell, which would make prices go up but because of the 5% thing, theres not going to be an good increase in prices for a while yet
  9. Woah, don't remenber selling for that much! :ohnoes: yeah i saw that as wrll and i was like wtf?! but for some reason uncuts cost more than cuts.....
  10. the reason whips goes down is that as moer and more whips are sold more and more people who can use them have them and so it becomes harder to sell the whip at that priceso they price gets lower. The amount of new players coming in every day does not effect the amount of whips coming in everyday as these people cant use or buy whips it all depends on how many people each day reach 70 attack
  11. it seems that jagex discriminates f2p players sometimes just becuase they play and dont pay
  12. we have to think of a a good thought provoking argument that will make jagex think whether it is a good idea or not instead of them just dismissing it almost straight away
  13. eventually even if we do nothing the autoers will stop why? because when that happens runescapes economy has collapsed and it is no longer worth it to sell rwa materials they will go out of bussiness and runescape will be left in a mess. It would take about 2-4 weeks for runescape to balance itself out again and start the slow process of rebuilding the economy and runescape as a whole.
  14. yeah my x members account (which soon will be a member again) bank filled up quickly and jagex even add an extra 3 lines to members banks every now and again (its happened 2 times when i was a member) and I still mamanged to fill my bank with all those new items and what not its hard to see how f2p players cope
  15. so annoying jagex always say its just a demo but like what was said originally its not jjust a demo anymore most people in runescape play this 'demo' and this 'demo' is being contantly being updated so why not update it with a few more bank spaces. Jage needs to eat its own words and rethink this issue.
  16. we couldn't chage the currency things would get confusing and everyone would have no money (thats worth anything). This whole economic dip in the system is indeed worrying and it could mean that runescape's economy could collapse soon if this does happen then the game will fall into economic deppression similar to hyperinflation in Germany in the 1920's where money will become worthless and the things will be bought with other items what people should do know is get up your skills so you can make good items in case this terrible thing comes true.
  17. but I reckon that more people would become members if they could become members when they wanted to instead of seemingly being forced to become one its a real shame and makes runescape and jagex look bad
  18. I get teh fellign that in about 6 months+ time people will become a lot poorer and will not buy anything at all let alone sell the economy will collapse and the autoers will stop as no money is being made then slowly the economy will begin to rebuild itself over time.
  19. I dont think teh editor meant that he wanted their to be a white market were you buy gold he just compared runescape to a real life situation (alchohol ban in America) and suggested a similar soloution but the situations maybe similar but the outcome would be far different for runescape and probally make things worse
  20. merchants would stay members becuase there are more items to merchant and make more money for. The f2p players make up most of runescape and get a lot of the raw materials such as ores, some fish, rune ess, big bones and so on if you take out the f2p players then you got some serious problems because they also buy rare items (for f2p) that you can only get in members worlds like treasure trail items. If f2p had more bank space then its highly likely f2p players will buy more as they have more spaces to hold items to sell and that they could buy and this would help stabilise the current price drop problems.
  21. also how did that person send a letter to Jagex I never see anywhere where you are able to send a message to them its a shame because it seems they dont have any customer service and sometimes don't seem to care.
