Woke up this morning to cut grass, turns out it rained this morning. So...I am spending this morning and afternoon playing the Guild Wars 2 beta :thumbup:

Downloading the beta at the moment. All weekend should be devoted to this :thumbup:

Finally got the trip to Austria paid off. All I have to save up for now is food, (I'll need about 190$ more and I'll be set) and then like around 50-75$ for souvenirs. My recital was Monday and went AMAZING! I got complements from everyone, including one of the best euphonium players in the state. She plays at Marshall University and I always looked up to her when she was at all county and all state. Recital went so well that the low brass professor is going to try and convince the top music directors not to make Mattie (the one I did my recital with) and I not have to do juries. That would make me life if I didn't have to worry about that. Also section leader and drum majors positions will be posted later today...so I am anxious to see if I made section leader next semester. Hopefully things will go my way :thumbup:

Went out today and bought a PSP and a couple games. Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and Final Fantasy Dissidia. I love FF Dissidia, and I am starting to get into KH BBS bit by bit. Worth every penny :thumbup:

How did you achieve that? I hate how I can only deactivate it and re-activating is easier than that. If i remember correctly there is a page you go to, where you agree to have it deleted and then it takes like either a week or two weeks of the account not being logged on for it to be deleted. Unless they have changed it :mellow:

Thankfully I have never had a broken bone. I could not imagine it to be honest. Hopefully I will never have to experience in anytime soon. *knocks on wood*

Let's see here: Pay off my debt for school, and the dept of my parents only. Buy a euphonium and get it personlized for me. Buy a nice car, nothing super expensive of course. Max I would spend would be like $60k. Buy a nice apartment in a city. I don;t know which city yet, but I plan on not getting married, so I don't need a house. Take a portion of the money and use it so I could go back to school if I wanted to. Maybe like $120k just in case. Donate some money to my local high school and the uni I am in now. Take the rest, put it in the bank and live the rest of my life out how I want to. A director of bands at a university.

I thought that even when I was a teenager to be honest. Happy birthday!! :thumbup:

Had a great time at the regional band festival today. Today my job was to rearrange the chairs on the stage for each band that came up. Lot of work but had a lot fun. After the festival was over I was invited to go out to eat with the band director, his wife, and few of his students to a Chinese buffet. I have learned in college that you never ever deny free food. I think I had like 4 plates of just crab legs, man they were delicious :thumbup: Another thing I have learned is that you always try to make connections with people. Case in point, the new low brass director that just got hired at my school knew someone, that knew someone, that knew the director of bands at the uni I go to. The guy we hired needed a job, and before you knew it within 72 hours he had the position. This is why I am trying to expand my acquaintances to more then just the county I live in, but the region and beyond. Who know, might get me a job one day.

Just got up about 30 minuets ago. Going to the regional band festival at a local high school to help out today. The last year I went was my last year in high school so there will be a lot of nostalgia for me today :thumbup:

Today was an amazing day with Dr.Ball!! He is getting hired at Concord University so we have finally have a true low brass director. He listened to my Sonata and overall he was very impressed with my sound, which is normally a weakness of euphonium players. He really nitpicked at the little things is what I need more of in my lessons. We played the sonata together for a few measures and it sounded wonderful. Good things to come in the future :thumbup:

That was only the two major degrees he has. I can not remember everything he has but it is impressive :thumbup:

Good luck!!! Tomorrow the music department is getting an important visitor tomorrow. We are getting a hopeful new low brass teacher. He has doctorate in music performance on trombone, and a master on euphonium. Really REALLY excited because tomorrow he is going to tour the campus and have lunch with a few members on the band, then I get a lesson from him THEN he is going to sit on our band practice to observe and watch me conduct. So excited that I can't sleep. Hopefully, we will get him in at Concord and I can improve as a player :thumbup:

We call that riding dead hooker. I've done that a few times while at uni. Now that I think about...it's been a while since I have done this. Normally the payment is a free meal :thumbup:
