Why is that? Standings can't be decided throu each conference because they barely face the western teams, vise versa. All star game is The Best of the Players on Eastern Confernce, and the best out of the Players of the West

Nets Pistons Heat Caviliers Raptors Celtics Chicago. The top 4 west teams MAY be better then the toop 4 in the East, however the Easts way better down low in the 9th-15th seeds. You got a couple teams who really have no one at the end, but the Bobcats for an example, who probablyt will finish 12th-15th, have newly aquired Jason Richardson, and have tons of rookies who are improving.

well, same thing goes for nhl. However, 16 teams make it but ur saying their "elite" so they make .. 1 seed verus - 8 2 seed versus -7 3 seed verses-6 4 seed versuses-5 So if you are good in the season, you face a worse oppenent. Some teams do mess up their season because the playoffs, like this years dallas mavericks who had a record that was like 69-13 or something, and faced a team with a record of like 41-41= and then 69-13 lost-.-

just edited: My Outlook: I think this is a good trade for both teams. Boston will definetly improve, however even though they have 3 superstars, and that they will make the playoffs, I don't believe their Champion contenders yet. Their Bench is very weak. Also they have 2 spots that will be filled on the starting lineup with basic no namers. Their Bench won't get more then 10-15 points a game, which cannot win a title. I do believe they are a 4th-7th team this year, and will improve big time. Minnesotia meanwhile, let go of a player that has wanted to leave the past few years. And in return, i believe got a very nice package, and the future lies on them. Al Jefferson, who will be a future all-star, is only going to improve, along with the other 2 young players they have recieved. Theo Ratliff, if he can regain his touch, who had always been an amazing shotblocker, can be good if healthy for the team.

You might carry a dagger but if you pull that (even in self-defence) on somebody who really knows what they're doing it's going to end up between your cheeks. It's all good and well to carry but if you pull it during a confrontation you better be prepared either for a little prison time or a trip to the hospital.
