Diamondseekers - Minecraft Server & Forums!
Can I be lazy and just ask if I could be whitelisted by just posting here? I'd rather not join a forum I'd probably rarely visit just to get in the whitelist, and I feel I post on the OT often enough to gain some trust from the people here. Username is Emp_M if you allow me.

Why are dresses and skirts worn less in modern times?
If it was socially acceptable, you'd only see me in skirts or jeans. Jeans for when it's cold enough, skirts every other time to let the boys breathe.

Today...
That went swimmingly. So, on the weekend, it was my girlfriend's birthday party at a local pub. One of the girls invited recently had something bad happen to her in another state, and so she was uneasy going to where we were having dinner, as it was an unfamiliar place to her. A group of us were waiting out the front for her for a while, as we knew that she'd be dropped off at the back. After a few minutes we decided to go back to where the others were at the balcony on the back. We saw her walking along the river bank and so one of my close mates, who has deep feelings for her runs to her and tries to get her to come to us. She refused and said she was going into town. By herself, on a Saturday night. In the end it got to the stage that her parents, and ultimately the police, were called. She was taken home and was told that she wasn't allowed to leave. She snuck out and called her ex to pick her up and bring her to us, as those of us who were 18 were going clubbing. He called her parents to see if they would be comfortable with it. They weren't, so I had to activate the child lock when she was trying to get in so that she wouldn't just run away. When we took her home, her mum opened the door and the girl just ran. I was slightly drunk at this point and had to chase her down and put her in a hold until the police would arrive. She was very violent, and when the cops arrived they informed us that they could talk to her and that was about it since she's 18. My right ear was damaged, I got a few bruises and a small chunk of my thumb is now missing (just skin.) She's calling me egotistical because I wouldn't let her run off when what happened to her before could happen again, locally. She thinks that just because she's now 18 she can do what the [bleep] she wants with no repercussions. She's able to pull the heart strings of her ex, the friend who likes her, and my girlfriend, so I've had not much option but to tell her to [bleep] off since the less I interact with her, the less likely she is to try.

CERN Experiment Indicates Faster-Than-Light neutrinos
There's another factor that the distance by a GPS's measurements will be larger than the actual distance as the GPS calculates from the circumference, not a direct line.

It still is. You don't have to take someone else's for-profit software for it to be infringing their copyrights. If I made Program X and I hosted it on my site, and it was free as long as you had an account on my site, and then you instead grab it from bittorrent so that you don't have to create an account, that can still be seen as you pirating my software. If I did create Program X, I'd probably have an unobtrusive "Like this software? Donate!" option in the menu somewhere, since I neither want to force someone to pay for software, nor would I want to annoy them for it.

People will pirate things that cost no money what-so-ever. Recently an indie developer released the sales figures for his game, and even figured out how many copies were pirated. Even when people didn't have to pay a cent, they pirated it. If I haven't bought your product within 2 months of pirating it, you can go [bleep] yourself if you think I'll ever pay what you ask for it. If I do pirate it, doesn't mean I won't buy it later as a "Thanks for an awesome product at a price I find reasonable, I hope you can continue to make such awesome things." DRM is there to keep the shareholders happy, and, in the gaming industry, so that little Tommy will pester his mum to buy the game for him, since he isn't old enough to learn how to use cracks, hex editors or even edit configs or the hosts file.

Oh god that's going to mean spotting is useless for me. Most of the time, to tag vehicles I'd have to tag something else first, then tag the vehicle.

Thought this would be worthy of a new post. http://bf3blog.com/2011/10/report-ea-and-valve-in-late-stage-talks-to-get-battlefield-3-to-steam/ As long as I can activate my retail copy with Steam I'll be happy.

[TF2] It's MANN Vs. Machine!
I'd recommend Microsoft Security Essentials over McAfee. Which is odd as I usually hate on Microsoft and their products.

No decent range on it. They're basically becoming a second medic. When a vehicle rocks up, you're [bleep]ed.

If support has mortars, how will recon take care of tanks?

It's alienware, so he overpaid. If it's a laptop, he's paid an arm and a leg for it.
