Actualy for about 3 years of game play I have made only 3 real friends on runescape. With whoom even after i stoped playing i still chat via IM and we have a good time. Others were just like hey you leaving van i have your rares can i have your acc and stufff.

This made my happy :))

see that is where you're wrong. merchanting is basically a casino with much better odds than real life. it doesn't guarentee money, but it can deliver more than what you invested in it. but skills guarentee money, there will never be a time when you have to pay someone to take items you get skilling off your hands, it's pure profit, unless you buy but you're still guarenteed profit then. Merchating is not a casino if it is done right. But right now merchating is not a good bussines reason: To many guides and the concurence is to big. I can give you an example: aprox 6-8 months ago i was buing rannar seeds from players at 10k ea and selling them on forums at 25k i could make 10 mil in less then a day. But now almoust everywere you go and you see a place that is crowded : " Buing all rannars 10k-20k ea". So i guess you are right in a way.

I think that the sailors in port sarim are richer just imagine how many f2p go there daily to catch lobsters or swordies? :) Nothing can compare with that.

no no and again no merchating all the way if you play this game for money(I wouldn't adivce that) If you play for fun just do all the skils little by little, if you play for ranks do skils 1 by 1 and that is it ;)
