  1. Under item suggestions a weapon with a crush ability should be put there. In case the players want to defeat the final boss a little faster instead of using a rune pick-axe all the way through.
  2. In the lists of items needed for the ques a tinderbox and knife should be listed to craft and burn the rafts. Also a spade is needed to block the stream. Credit for this information goes to the Runescape name of Bostonjoe. EDIT disregard my comment. You can talk to Erjolf to get all the supplies you need...
  3. You don't need a pirate bandanna to be arrested, a hat and eye patch can also be used if you prefer. I'm guessing a pirate hat without the patch would work as well. Also, saying that the Saucy Wench had sunk did not work for me, I had to use the first selection. Unfortunately I do not have a snapshot of this =( All I can say is, selections may vary from player to player. Credits can go to Runescape character "Bostonjoe".
  4. Keep on goin' on you pyromaniac you! And when you get bored read on of my stories... in "Ironic Occurences of Bostonjoe!"
  5. Your beast of burden has no more items! -use brick with beast of burden- Your beast of burden has fainted...
  6. You all have a great deal of patience. For this I give this topic a... BIG BUMP!
  7. Nice topic, good form, excellent style. Congrats on 99 attack! Bump for you! Can be? Maybe plz? Read mai blogz pleaze???
  8. In case you may not know I want to tell you about this clan I was once in that you might be interested in. It's a chat for people training Skiller. They also have a few events from time to time. There's no real requirements and pretty much anyone can join, the owner of the chat is "Rs Thugz". Just enter that name in the clan chat selection thing and tell them Bostonjoe sent you from the underworld to repay his debts. They'll know what it means ;) ...Actually they probably wont, but do it anyway! Oh and nice thread, nice stats, check out my blogz?
  9. OMG xD You totally pwn XD Just wait till you see "Rub Rub Rub" Pt2 (Use Brick With Noob!)
  10. Wouter! Your blog is still up! Nice to see! I am repairing my blog as well. When I get it finished I'll send you a message. I got a few stories that got deleted unfortunately, but maybe you'd like to check them out when I get them re-written! This is why you always ALWAYS make back ups! Doesn't matter what forums you're posting to. -.- Oh and nice skills, looking good dude!
  11. Oh no... My story!! My story! It was sooo long! and almost finished! It's gone! Thank heavens Tip.it is still online and the forums still exist... But my story... I also noticed allot of the html coding I had in the thread isn't working. I guess it has something to do with the big change. Guess I'll just have to get used to the new coding and work out all the bugs on my thread. :? I hope to get some new readers soon, just to let you all know I'll be working on re-writing my big epic story "The Dessert Goat" but you most likely wont see much from me after that because I've run out of membership on Runescape and can't pay for it right now. Hope to get a few new readers though. Stand by for updates! Also, I noticed in various places where I have put an ' the new coding has replaced it with random gibberish... So I'll need to edit those weird bugs as well.
  12. A nervous adventurer runs into the Phasmatys bank... Adventurer: Banker, I need an anti-poison now! Ghost Banker: Woooo? Adventurer: Anti-poison! ...Now! Ghost Banker: Wooo... wooooowoooo wooooooooo. Adventurer: No, that's weapon poison! I need the oposite! Anti-poison, ANTI! Ghost Banker:Woo. Adventurer: It's green... you know, green? like... kinda like you're color! Ghost Banker: Woo? wooooo woo woo. Adventurer: For the love of Saradomin man! Hurry! I really need it really bad! I swear I have one in my bank account now just give it to me! Ghost Banker: Woooo! Woo wo woooo wo woo! Woo... ooooooooo. Adventurer: Arrg... I feel... weak... The adventurer falls to the ground Adventurer: -sigh- please, I just need an anti poison... Ghost Banker: Oooooh, and anti-poison is what you want? Why didn't you just say so? Adventurer: Wait... Why is it you're able to understand me all of the sudden? Ghost Banker: Well it was very easy to understand you after you started speaking in Ghost. Adventurer: Speaking in Ghost? But to do that I would either have to be dead or... omg... I'm dead! Ghost Banker: Hm. Yes. So you are... Guess that's sort of my fault eh? The adventurer cries Adventurer: All I needed was an anti-poison!! Ghost Banker: Don't worry mate, the after life isn't that bad. You can become a banker for all of eternety, like me! :D
  13. So I was at the Grand Exchange selling some stuff I got from a clue scroll, and I noticed all three people lined up side by side. So I went on one end and started doing the snowman dance! Pretty soon we had a whole line of 10-15 people dancing! It was pretty fun, here's some pictures. [hide=Snowman Dance][/hide] [hide=Spin][/hide] [hide=Dance Dance][/hide] [hide=Jump For Joy][/hide]
  14. In other news, I met my Runecrafting goal and can now make that enchanted water tiara. I can also carry large pouches. Getting close to page 6. And when I make it to page 6, I'll post my next big story! Can't wait... \
  15. So I did Lunar Diplomacy as mentioned before so that I could craft astral runes and I also did Dream Mentor for the hell of it. Let me just tell you somthing about the Lunar Diplomacy and Dream Mentor quests, someone had to have been on drugs or had drugs in mind when they made them!! [hide=Dream Mentor][/hide] Lets take a look on how we get to the "Dream World" shall we... Ok, first we have to get some cerimonial outfit blah blah blah, this is just to make the quest longer and keep you from wondering about the whole thing. Then you have to make a "waking sleep potion" that you make with your "special herbs" and a "suqah tooth". Then you go to the "Cerimonial Brazier" and soak some "kidling" -cough- hemp -cough- with your "special potion" and burn it... This teleports you to the "Dream World" :-k Then theres Dream Mentor. Where you have to go to "Dream World" WITH someone. Now, to do this you have to smoke... uh I mean... enhale a very "special" kind of potion. You make this potion with some "Goutweed" and a ground Atral rune. So after you and Oneiromancer take a sip of that "special potion" -cough- acid -cough- you're teleported to "Dream World" again to fight a "broomstick" but you're so high you don't think it's a broomstick, you think it's a giant monster... And that's all I got to say about that quest...
  16. As you all may know, Jagex has done ALOT of new updates to discourage real world trading. One of those was putting in no unballenced trades. Now that these updates have been set I have been on the Runescape forums ALOT letting my voice be heard. Here's where I stand on the issue. I acctually like alot of the updates and understand why they've been set into place. I'm all for disscouraging real world trading, even though I have bought gold online in the past... The only update that has hurt me is the wilderness update, but that's another story, my focus for this post is Runescapes ecomomy. You would not believe the rant section in the RS forums. It's being flooded with rants about trade issues. Everyone seems to be complaining about how they can't merchant anymore. Wah wah wah! Freaking winers... The forums were the merchanters best friend, so of course the merchanters would be going crazy on the forums!! Skillers are also complaining, they say stuff like "Thiers no way too mak monee any mor i quitting rs!!!" Yes, prices on just about everything have gone down. Some things have been affected more then others, but all areas of Runescape's ecomomy has seen some kind of change. Although the price of raw materials have gone down, the price on armour, weapons, runes, and arrows have gone down too!! So, if you really think about it, it still takes about the same amount of time or SHORTER to make the money to buy what you want. Has Grand Exchange and trade updates really ruined the Runescape economy and the way people level up? That's the question a friend and I asked ourselves when we came up with this idea. We got togeather and decided to find out for ourselves. The idea was simple, test the relationship between two people trying to level two co-inciding skills. Mining and simithing. My friend does not have a membership and is currently training mining, while I of course do have a membership and needed to train smithing. So this way we could see if non-members were effected negativly by the update as well. First thing we did was get togeather and I bought 1000 coal off of him for 160gp each, at a total price of 160k. So right off the bat he made 160k. (this is within the 3000gp trade margin, trading for as low as I can go) Then we minned the iron, which didn't take long. Each of us mined 250 iron, and I bought his off of him for about 20k or so. Then came time for me to start smithing. I had to figure out what I could smith and make the most profit. First I thought about steel plates... It takes 2 coal ore for each iron. I spent 160 on each coal ore. 160X2=320. This means I'll spend 320 on each bar. I was going to be making 500 bars, and it takes 5 bars to make a steel plate. 320X5=1600. So this means I would spend 1600 on each steel plate. Steel plates alch for 1200gp each... so this method would not make me a profit, in fact, it would give me a loss of 40k. Obviously this method would not work for me, but then I remembered cannonballs! With one bar you can make 4 cannonballs and they sell for about 160gp each on the Grand Exchange. 500X4=2000 (amount of cannonballs I'll have) 2000X160=320000 (amount of money I'll make) 320000-160000=160000 (amount of profit I'll make) With this method I would double the amount I spent exactly, and that is exactly what I did. I made a profit of 160k. Each of us made 160k and got ALOT of mining and smithing experience in just a few hours. We found that we could easily repeat this process quickly and swiftly. We both ended up making close to 500k in one day. I found it more effective to mine half the coal and iron ore. Or mine all of the iron ore I needed, and then buy the coal. This way it brings down the cost of materials and brings up my profit. Iron ore isn't hard to mine either. As you can see, Runescapes ecomomy has not been hurt at all. There are still just as many ways to earn money as ever. And my friend made about 400k in non-members in one day, that is alot for non-members. He could buy a few sets of full Rune, which has gone down to 160k by the way. After finishing the first load of cannonballs I was just a few thousand xp away from 61 smithing, so I finished it off with iron plates. And I'm now 4k xp awy from 62 smithing.
  17. Thank you both for your compliments. It's very much appreciated. :D Though you were randomly selected, deiophobus, mass-pming is near impossible on tipit forums...
  18. A sample of my idea on the forums. If you like these ideas show your support by bumping this thhread AND my thread on RS forums. Quick find code: 24-25-865-55246000
  19. I'm contacting as many RS fans as I can to help me save PvPing. As you probably know Jagex recently released a group of updates to help discourage real world trading! Now, understand I am not against these updates, I'm all for them! I understand the importance of stamping out macros. But I'm very sad about the changes that have taken place in the wilderness. However, rather then ranting about it and begging Runescape to bring back the old wilderness I plan on merely suggesting things to improve Bounty Hunter and Clan Wars in hopes that it will become more apealing to the old timer pkers. I have posted a thread to the Runescape forums in Suggestions. It can be found with this Quick find code: 24-25-865-55246000 Please read it and give me some feedback. If you would like me to add you to a list of supporters I'm working on, private message me. Also please bump me if you support this. Thank you for your time and consideration! :D -Bostonjoe
  20. Dealing With Scabaras Everybody Duck, He's Ranting Again!! I did the new quest and was rewarded with a chore! Don't get me wrong, I like the reward, 7k xp in three skills and the ability to make head gear that protects me from the desert sun is nothing to complain about. But I have to have 50 runecrafting to make it! And I hate runecrafting! I've allways said I'm a natural born Freminnik, and it's true! I hate magic, I hate runecrafting, I'm stuborn, and I like to smash things! What more do you want?! But I really want that tiara, because I KNOW that now that Jagex is has pretty muched stamped out macroing as best as they can they're going to start focusing on new quests, and probably even expand the desert. Just you wait, we're going to see all kinds of new quests for the desert and the other outreaches of Runescape such as the cursed swamps to the east, the Elven forests to the west, and the ice wastelands to the north. Let's not forget about the Ogres in Fedlip Hills either shall we? With all the new quests we might get in the desert I'm going to need an item that helps me "beat the heat" if you will. And I wont stop training runecrafting until I get there! So I've taken a break from attack for a little while and have focused my attention on a simpiler lifestyle... Because of this I've finally decided to do Lunar diplomacy, and plan to do Dream Mentor soon as well. I just wish I had of taken a few more pictures of these quests along the way. I promise I'll get a few snapshots for you guys next time around. 8-) [hide=Quest Spoiler]P.S. Oh yeah! I almost forgot to tell all of you! I found a glitch while doing the new quest. You're not really supposed to be able to kill the high Scabara Preist but I did. I used my dds special on him, he got down to 1 hp and started talking again like normal, but then in the middle of the conversation he died from the poison. I then had to leave the room and enter again to try to complete the quest. So just a warning... DON'T TRY TO POISON HIM![/hide]
  21. Thanks for the comments everyone. Stop by every once in a while and take a "looky-see-here" at some of the new stuff I've come up with. I gaurentee you wont be dissapointed. And remember, don't be afraid to coment!
