It just goes beep beep beep....
Tried that, and tried only leaving one stick in. Either both sticks are dead, or the slots are broken.

What game is that?

Napoleonic Hegemony
My [cabbage]ty computer decided to die yesterday, so I won't be able to make maps and such for a few weeks. So when is the second budget?

It just goes beep beep beep....
Possibly. I think my friend has a 2001 era computer. I hope it's not the mobo, I'd have no clue where to find a replacement.

New Computer
If you can afford it, I'd reccomend staying with the higher speed RAM, speed is more important than quantity for gaming.

It just goes beep beep beep....
According to foxconns page, I have a memory error, which Is weird because it's pretty hard to bump the RAM. I've tried removing one stick, removing the other stick, removing the dummy sticks that came with it, but nothing works.

That's good news then. I was afraid I'd fried the processor or something else bad. I'll try fixing it in a few hours, it's past 3 here and Ill probably end up slicing my hand open on something if I try it now.

I'm hoping that's it, otherwise it's the processor and I have to attempt to remove dell's evil heatsink. EDIT - Tried wiggleing the card around, to no avail. Tomorrow I'll try to actually remove the card and put it back.

It just goes beep beep beep....
So today I was doing a routine dust clean on my computer. I made sure to ground myself, and the only part of the computer I physically touched was the CPU fan, which I r removed to clean and replaced. After putting my computer back upright, I tried to turn it on. The fans start to spin, the disk drive lights flash, but there no picture appears on the monitor. Something inside the computer makes a beep noise about twice a second. I turned off the computer again and checked inside to see if anything was loose, but nothing was apparent. I also fiddeled with the monitor plug, but I havnt tried totouch anything inside yet. Any ideas what is wrong?

Danger Will Robinson! (The do's and dont's in computing)
Removing an empty PCI slot cover won't help cool your computer, it will just lead to it becoming very dusty.

History
Imagine what you could get for a tank and an APC full of elite troops and supplies. EDIT - It's decided, Im bringing a tank battalion back in time to help the British win the American Revolution.

Haven & Hearth Thread
I only log on every 3-4 days to plant my farm. Archi killed my enthusiasm for the game when he told me everything resets in September.

Napoleonic Hegemony
Stick with the 1 day = 2 years, but move the reset to every 2 years.

I really don't care what happens, as long as the tavern becomes the main forum.

The used game market is way worse for the game industry. Its why most console makers are moving to digital downloads.

The Back Room
Finally people who understand my love of Cracked. I am about to commit a sin against men everywhere, but the twilight books were decent. Now to count down the hours until my house gets torched...

Pretty sure they stopped using DRM. Long time ago too. And any songs from before then can have their DRM removed for 30 cents each or so. Beaten to it. Woo. You learn something every day... I still would prefer Amazon because MP3 works with near everything.

Temporary Dungeoneering
Never tried a game like this before, so Ill need help. Username: Trol Character name: Leiowaen 'Leio" Mielo (LEEOwaen MIello) Description: Roughly 18 years of age, medium straight blond hair, slightly pointed ears, chin and nose, slender but toned, just over 6". Has a scar just above the thumb nail on his left hand from a bowstring accident. History - Found in a forest as an infant by a group of hunters, Leio was raised by the village. He developed skill in archery as a boy, and after an accident with a breaking bowstring, began to fletch bows and arrows. At age 13, he witnessed his adoptive parents murdered by a band of raiding goblins. He learned to channel his rage into healing the injured and became proficient in rudimentary healing magic. Rumors in the village say that he is at least part elven, a race that seems to have left this forsaken area. Skills - 1 archery, 1 healing magic. Equipment - 1 hunting bow, 20 stone tip arrows. (am I doing this right?) Leio runs after the group, after being convinced by the elders that the village was no place for him. Seeing the fork in the road, he notices that the majority of the footsteps lead left. He follows the path and sees the group up ahead, and then jumps in shock at the sight of a bear. He sees that [wagon] Edel on the ground, with a chunk missing from his leg. He immediately tears a strip from his long cloth shirt, and motions for Edel to crawl towards him.

Assuming you mean uploading music...No, it's illegal here in canada. But when you download, say, a movie...Does it hurt anyone? Common response is "yes, you cheated the company out of the $_.__ they would have made if you bought/rented it. But, either way, I'm not going to pay for this movie or song i just downloaded. I can't afford to buy every piece of media i've ever downloaded. If I had to do that, I wouldn't listen to music. Either way, the companies make nothing off of me. (Slightly off topic, but still semi-related). Yes, maybe it's just me who's that way, but I doubt most people can afford to buy every song they've ever downloaded. By legal, I mean more along the lines of 'not punishable'. I've never heard about someone being sued in Canada for it because of the blank media tax. And yeah, I agree. I don't like music enough to buy $16.99 CDs and I refuse to support Itunes and their [cabbage] DRM. I still buy movies though, I only download them for my iPod (Converting DVDs is a pain in the ass), As for games Ive downloaded EUIII, Civilization and Victora and still bought them after I decided I liked them. If I was forced to buy music, Id probably use Amazon because it comes in MP3 and I get free gift cards from swagbucks.
