It's Temple Trekking, which not many play.
Based on my full lumberjack, I know what that is.
It just threw me off, considering the picture was taken in the Arzinian gold mine...
-
Is this a new discovery, or am I just late to the party? I've never seen this before... :???:
-
What I've found to be fairly accurate is this formula:
[skill level] * [stage of horn (1-15)] * 1000
I think that's right... it's late, and I'm tired.
For an example, lets say I had a horn that's "nearly two thirds full" (stage 10). I use it to train a skill that's level 80.
80 * 10 * 1000 = 800,000
Therefore, the horn would last for 800,000 extra experience in said skill. (for 1,600,000 total gain throughout the course of its charge)
I hope that's not confusing...

Fairy Ring to the Windswept Mountain, enter the cave at the bottom of the path, and follow the network south. There are around 10 troll spawns there for youre killing fun.
I actually just caved and decided to buy a cannon.
Thanks for the response, though.

Without the use of a cannon, where is the best place/setup to slay trolls?
Please and thank you.

walking aimlessly is the best way to go
This. I've never regretted how I started out when I became a member. Just wander around, explore, do a few quests.
The aimless wandering and exploration is some of the most fun you'll have in all of Runescape.

I'd have to go with prayer. Jump off a building, and prayer flash protection from melee at the last second before impact... talk about fun.
I'm sure teleports would come in handy, too. More handy, however, would be the ability to respawn at my hometown upon death, in full health. Nobody bothered to think about that one...
Why would you do protect from melee? It sure as hell isn't going to help haha
So no one rushes you with claws after you're low health.
This.

It's not exactly a range, but there's a clay oven at the bank in Nardah. It's always nice for quiet cooking.

Can someone explain the sinister key one for me? Do I buy keys and open chests, or collect them?

Many thanks.

Thaaaaank all of you. Now I'm getting some good answers.

So we can move on from the slayer and dragon angle, I've added a modifier to the original post.
For the love of all that is good and pixely, please read it.
-
...because there are so many people there.
That statement alone puts green dragons out of the question.
-
Monster hunting is out of the question, as is slayer. I enjoy slayer for the purpose of training it, but for money it's terrible (although the warped tortoises number is spot on - I usually make around 500k a task for those).
And the idea that green dragons are a reliable source of income is a joke. By the time I've found a world that isn't crawling with people bent on making my life miserable, I can only kill two or three before people start logging into said world and proceed to give me the urge to drown puppies.
And the woodcutting for money thing is a joke, right? The most I've seen from woodcutting is 200k/hour... which is a waste of time.
In the event that we need to be reminded, I'm looking for more than 1m an hour. Anything less is pointless.
-
I'm looking for a solid way of making above 1m (or even 1.5m) an hour. I've heard there are ways, but I can't seem to find one.
If anybody has one, but doesn't want to share with everyone, feel free to pm me.
Just in case, stats are:
EDIT: For the sake of me not tearing people in half with my laser vision, no combat. Thus, no slayer, no dragons, no SLAYER.
I don't care if it's a grind... grinding is part of the game, and part of the reason I play. I find it enjoyable, so can we please quit whining about it?
-
Ok I'll just go leave, even Runescape forums aren't as nasty as these. Thanks for making me feel welcome  *sarcasm*
These forums have some great people in them, so please don't judge all of us by the actions of a few. That being said, welcome to the forums. Something you probably already know: improper grammar feeds the trolls... and boy do we have some trolls... <_<
Either way, I like this topic:
Runescape and TV at the same time... all on a 22" HD monitor. (Tosh looks like he's about to sneeze...)

I have an Empowered Fire Staff and 125 bloods bound atm.
I find it strange how people aren't running into Primal weapons. I went through one dungeon with two friends (which I happened to meet in the waiting room... and they're amazing), and as we killed the boss, we all got one of these:
[hide]
[/hide]
As soon as I get a Primal Hatchet, consider it bound.
Why waste a bind on a hatchet? (or a pick)
Novite hatchet and pick aren't exactly THAT slow and surely a decent wep or armour piece form the word go is gonna speed you up a heck of alot more than a tool that you might not even HAVE to use
From what I've been reading/hearing, the higher level pick/hatchet you use, the more likely you are to receive more ores/logs from a resource. More ores/logs = more money.
Also, what does speed have to do with anything? :???:
-
Fastest for general purpose is ivy.
Sawmill is fastest if you can pay attention.
Next is power cutting willows, barb assault owns for this as deposit box right there helps speed it up as dropping eats alot of time.
Teaks are 4th
In a word: No. Powercutting teaks is far superior to willows, no matter how you do it.
I think you both missed the point, actually (or I wasn't clear enough). When I'm looking for the fastest exp in the game, I'm not looking for umbrella statements like "chop teaks".
- Where do I chop teaks (or any other log)?
- How do I dispose of the logs?
- Do I use mousekeys to drop them or do I parcel/bank them?
- Do I use a familiar?
- Do I use the +1 boost on my WC cape every 50 seconds?
- What axe do I use?
- Is the inferno adze better than the dragon hatchet?
I've already got 99 woodcutting, so I don't need blanket statements like "chop willows". I am looking for specific methods to achieve the maximum amount of experience per hour, no matter the amount of focus it takes.
There's also a method I've read about briefly where you drop one log and click on the tree before you stop chopping. Can anybody give a more detailed explanation?
-
I am on a quest to find the fastest possible woodcutting experience gain per hour in all of Runescape (out of boredom, and pure curiosity). Therefore, I come to you, the TIF community, to provide me different training methods for woodcutting.
With any method proposed, I'll do 5 hours of testing, and average my results to give a "practical exp/hour" number. I realize that it won't be entirely scientific due to human reaction times and such, but I hope to provide numbers that people can look at to give them an idea of how fast different methods are.
In question form: What are different training methods to achieve the maximum woodcutting experience per hour?

the bone crusher reward looks cool it will bury the bones of the monster u just killed so u dont have to pick them up that would speed up prayer massively cause when u fight caos druids do u pick up the bones? didn't think so
If you kill 1000 chaos druids, that gives you 5K prayer XP. There's a reason people don't bother picking them up.
Even so, just carrying the bone crusher on slayer tasks would give a steady (even if small) trickle of prayer experience, saving potentially millions on dragon bones in the long term.
That 5k exp you got from killing the chaos druids alone saved 92k in dragon bones...

Yes.
+1

One Day I Was So Sick That I Was Not Able To Leave My Bedroom. Lucky My Computers In There XD So I Got 2.3m Agility Xp.
The max agility experience / hr is 70k at VERY maximum, which would take 31 hours. Most average 65k, which would be 36 hours. Nice try though.
BA horn would halve those to 15.5-18 hours. Possible but unlikely if one was this sick (one would likely sleep more than 6 hours ;) ).
You'd be surprised.
When I had my tonsils taken out, I spent 20 hours at a time on Runescape (and sleeping was damn-near impossible). I went from 96-99 woodcutting in about 3 days. Painkillers make it very easy to focus on Runescape for mind-numbingly long periods of time.

Why would you bother binding a pickaxe when you can just buy the best ores from the Smuggler?
Because buying the best ores costs money, which one could easily save by mining them.
I see his logic. For me, having to buy ores with which to make armor is a pain in my backside. If it's true that higher level pickaxes give more ores, I need to bind me a pickaxe... =/

Sweet Jesus...
Usually when I duo with a friend of mine, it takes us upward of an hour per. :???:
