Is it just me, or throughout this weekend has it become very laggy. It's not general lag, everyso often, like every 20 minutes i will get this massive spike of lag which renders me incapabale of clicking anything for 10-15 seconds. I want to do TDs but i don't dare due to these bloody spikes of lag.
I don't recall getting such bad lag before the weekend, so i was wondering, is it just me? Or is anyone else getting lag =/
I am too, and it's not on my end because I have a solid connection.
It's most likely due to the increased number of people on at any given time due to the bonus exp.

I think its about 29 hours and 15 minutes atm not that it matters, just about everyone's finished there modifier by now
It does matter for those who need to train with normal boosters, but can't because of the stoopid 1.1x that overrides everything. <_<

I got like 8 in a task of around 100 mogres. So maybe an average of 2 every 25?
Ah. I was wondering...
I killed one for my Falador Diary, and I got a pair. I was under the assumption that they were rare. Pleasantly surprised, I guess. :^_^:

You're getting 18 because all other xp boosters don't work while the bonus xp multiplier is on.
The ectofuntus is an exception, though. It should get the normal 4x.
What activities will NOT earn me bonus XP?* Quest XP rewards
* Items/locations that already give bonus XP (e.g. genie lamps, tomes of experience, goldsmithing gloves, Ectofuntus, POH altars, etc)
* XP rewards at the end of activities/distractions (e.g. Tears of Guthix, Soul Wars, Pest Control, jade vine, skeletal horror, giving sq'irk juice to Osman, etc)
* Anything which allows points to be exchanged for XP (e.g. Penguin Points, Brimhaven Agility Arena tickets, Slayer incentives, Mrs Winkin's World of Seeds shop from Vinesweeper, etc)
* Any XP earned through the Assist system
EDIT: Nvm just read the FAQ of the bonus xp weekend on forums apparently it is and jagex just failed to mention that in the developers blog.....
You just proved me right... right? It doesn't get bonus, it just gets the normal exp?

I used AutoHotkey to remap a keyboard combo to change the volume on my laptop after I broke the media touch buttons... That's my recommendation, found here.
I, too, use AutoHotkey. It's very flexible, and I also recommend it.

Thanks for all the responses, guys. I'm going to sleep, and I'm just going to hope that the situation resolves itself by the time I wake up. ;)

If you wanted to get those skills up, you should have done them before this weekend imo. Could have done enough to get within reach then used this weekend to get to the final levels.
I was playing Barbarian Assault, filling my horn for the 2x multiplier. I was under the assumption that the bonus exp crap could be overridden by a higher bonus. (for example, the ectofuntus gives the normal 4x instead of getting a boost)
Who would've thought that Jagex wouldn't predict the implications of an update... <_<

The bonus exp multiplier will be there until Monday, no matter how long you're logged in.
So, just to verify my reason for anger, I have a 1.1x multiplier overriding all other skill boosters... all weekend... that can't be shut off or overridden?
Please GOD tell me I'm missing something...

No after 10 hours you get a 1.1x boost.
So I'm going to have a 1.1x boost overriding all other boosters for the whole weekend? :mad:

This ridiculous event will stop overriding other exp boosters after 10 hours, right?
I had planned on getting 92 fm this weekend (for adze, obviously), but I don't want to burn logs when a 1.2x multiplier is overriding my penance horn and fire gloves/ring. If it's going to be like this all weekend, my brain is going to explode. <_<
Edit: Apologies if this sounds more like a rant than a question, but the thought of having to waste 7 hours of time just so I can get back to training annoys me severely. A feature to shut off the bonus exp, pl0x? :idea:

Would it smarter to do mining or fishing?
Since mining has exp multipliers from both stealing creation tools AND penance horn, I'd probably do fishing.
I say that, but I've been training firemaking and agility with my bonus exp (both of which benefit form penance horn). :rolleyes: I'm a hypocrite. :smile:

There are 15 stages to the horn (full horn, 3/4 horn, 2/3 horn, ect...) each stage gives about 1000*your skills level.
Example is: with a lv90 skill the horn will give 9000xp/horn stage until you get lv91.
That's what I was looking for!

i believe its the higher lvl you are in the skill the more xp you recieve for that particular skill.
I'm well aware.
I'm looking for a formula, ball park estimation, or the such.

How much experience does it hold for each skill?
I've checked everywhere, but I can't seem to find it. Any help would be appreciated.

I've got 4 magics, 4 palms, and a spirit tree all planted yesterday with payments. If I do things correctly, it'll be about 300k farm XP :thumbsup:
If you have no other plans this weekend, you could, theoretically, log in, do a tree run (replant), and log off.
Then wait for them to grow, log on, tree run, log off.
It'd be good farming exp if you have no other plans.

Mine would be about 1.2m in woodcutting.
Went from 96 to 99 in 4 days.

Skill Capes
in Rants
I have a skill cape; got it a couple of days ago. It's my first one, it's a woodcutting cape (obviously <_< ), and I wear it all the time. It's a rare moment that one sees me without it.
You know why I wear it? I love the skill. Training woodcutting is therapeutic for me (however stupid that may sound); I find it enjoyable. Seeing myself in a cool looking (imo) cape is a pleasant reminder of all those hours I spent ignoring my problems in life by harming Gielinor with deforestation. <3:
I felt no obligation to get a 99. One should only get one out of enjoyment of the skill. Anyone who gets a cape so they can be cool is the noob, in my opinion. :-|

Two questions:
1. Will having a flower (for example, a white lily) in the patch between allotments protect those allotments from disease entirely (as if I had paid the farmer)?
2. At my level (65), what is the best place to train agility?
