  1. Teaks are indeed faster than ivy, people are just lazy :) But if you're not good with dropping/mousekeys just do ivy.

That's what I've been starting to think. I've been chopping Ivy for the past few hours, and it just doesn't seem as fast. (although I don't have solid evidence)

I have another question. (which is why I love the tip.it community: infinite answers)

Either way, is there any particular set up for mousekeys to work on Windows 7? (or can someone point me in the direction of a guide?) Ever since I got my new computer, I can't get my mousekeys working right.

  2. Well, so far we've got:

    - Woodcutting to 99.

    - Herblore to the point that it's no longer my lowest skill (assumed)

    - Monster hunting for "fun". (which it's not)

    - Slayer for... fun?

    - Questing.

All but the first and last are my least favorite things to do, believe it or not. (with crafting in a close fourth. ugh.)

Back to the point (kind of), is ivy faster than teaks? I stopped wcing almost a year ago, so I really didn't pay attention to the updates for it.

Side note: I'm pretty good with being able to pay very small amounts of attention to something while still actually playing. I generally watch movies with the sound (on RS) up to know when anything significant happens.

  3. Well. Looking at your stats one that popped out at me was 99 wc. Less than 3M xp to go there :)

I like your train of thought! (and your response time)

But, you gave me an addition to my first post: What are good methods for achieving proposed goals?

Thanks in advance. (and I REALLY gotta go now) :-D

  4. I have tonsillitis (unimportant). What IS important, however, is that I'm getting them taken out, and consequently, missing 2 weeks of school. To keep my mind off of my probably painful throat, I'll be playing Runescape.

You're probably wondering what the question is. Here goes:

What would be a good set of goals to accomplish in two weeks? I'm willing to dedicate significant portions of my time to Runescape, but I'm not really a goal-oriented person. I'm curious what the Tip.It community thinks I can get done.

Now I'll be gone for a few hours (probably several), and I hope to have a good amount of ideas to read over when I get back.

  5. Bandos?

    Torags?

    Porche?

    Volvo?

    Hmm.... #-o

You... make perfect sense. Amazing analogy.

Back on topic, if I ever got Bandos, it would be because it looks cool. If I ever have the money to throw around, I'd probably buy it.

Barrows is fine until then, though. ;-)

  6. Personally, I'm weird and like to go do Tai Bwo Wanni Cleanup.

Me too! It's a good way to escape from the tedium of most other skills. (in my opinion)

As far as making money goes, I find Runecrafting to be very rewarding, and that in itself makes it fun for me. ^.^

  7. I'll try both of these options, and see if I like them better.

My apologies to both Cptbaker08 and 12pure34. I lose very little energy per run, and keeping super energy pots banked just in case seems to be significantly more efficient than using the Oo'glog pools.

Thank you both for correcting my poor crafting habits.

  8. If you have 60 agility or so, you won't need energy ever. If you are around 50's, you will be fine using a handful of super energy pots per hour. You' ll have to recharge the energy about 3x per hour. With 2 minutes each time, that is 10% of your hour. Basicly cutting 10% of your profit.

I have 61 agility, and i find myself needing energy quite often.

If you profit > 200k / hour, you are better of using 20k on super energies then to run. You won't use 20k worth super energies per hour.. so this could be more profitable.

Also, for 52 summong --> Terrorbird + scrolls >>>>>>>>> Oog' log. You can even use the scrolls while running, having no delay..

I'll try both of these options, and see if I like them better.

And by the way, I love the Phillip DeFranco show. ;)

Many thanks for the continued effort to change my mind. :)

  9. Personally, I'd rather go to Oo'glog every six to seven hundred essence and recharge my energy than have to rest or worry with pots.

Pots or the charter method don't seem worth it economically, regardless of how efficient.

I think I've settled on what I'm going to do, and I'll share just for the sake of somebody's potential curiosity. I abyss craft using glory amulets to tele back to Edgeville after each run. When my infinite energy runs out, I use duelling ring tele to Mobilising Armies, run east to Oo'glog, recharge energy AND hp, and glory tele back to Edgeville; rinse and repeat.

About the loss of potential exp, I think the two minutes it takes me to recharge would produce a negligible amount of extra runes/exp when used in conjunction with resting, if that method is even more efficient.

Thank you to everyone who replied, and this topic may be locked whenever.

  10. For a bit more information, I'll be doing this for Runecrafting. I'd like to waste the least amount of time while I get to Oo'glog to recharge my energy.

From the research I've been doing (without actually timing it myself) it's either: slayer ring to Fremennik Slayer Dungeon, then fairy rings to Feldip Hills; duelling ring to Duel Arena, then glider to Feldip Hills; or duelling ring to mobilising armies.

I'm not sure which is fastest, though. :???:

  11. "The 33,300 experience given refers to every single stealing creation piece, whether it be a helm, weapon, body armor or leg armor. Wearing the whole set will make each piece seem to degrade slower but it will always give the combined total experience of all pieces."

    Source.

While it's not the page for mage hat, I'm sure the same rules apply.

  12. You can only have one kitten or regular-sized cat at a time. You can get a new kitten when your other cat is overgrown.

You cannot choose your kitten's colour, unless you have a ring of Charos and have activated it during the Garden of Tranquillity quest. To get a ring of Charos, you'll have to do the Creature of Fenkenstrain quest. If you've done both quests, wear your ring of Charos(a) when you visit Gertrude. When she tells you the price of the kittens, select the "charm" option, and you'll be able to pick the colour of kitten you want. If you don't have a ring of Charos(a), or you haven't begun the Garden of Tranquility quest, you'll have to take the kitten Gertrude offers you. If you don't like its colour, there's another way. Just put the kitten on the ground, click on the pet interface and select "dismiss pet". Your kitten will then run away, and you'll be free to buy another one from Gertrude.

  13. The quest for the enchanted water tiara is 'Dealing with Scabaras'.

I very much doubt that a lvl 58 would be able to complete this quest, and the prerequisites for it. [i haven't even done it yet.]

I really have nothing to contribute to the topic of mining, though. :)
