  1. When I click here to play, it loads and says Runescape is Loading - Please Wait. Then undernearth it says preparing sound engine...Forever. I left it for 2 minutes and it did nothing. I restrated my browser as well as my computer. Everything else works and it was working last night. Help.

I just restarted mine, and it reloaded fine.

    Is your internet connection solid?

  2. Honestly, if they had a cafeteria, I'd be a cook/chef.

It's something people tend to overlook, but think about how much better the updates would be if everybody at Jagex wasn't sitting around thinking about what to have for lunch all day.

It sounds stupid, but I'm not good at coding, or testing, or cool stuff, but I'd get a warm fuzzy feeling supporting those who are amazing at what they do. <3:

(in retrospect, this sounds reeeally dorky)

  3. I wonder whether the xp you get from experience lamps will also double during the weekend?

Because otherwise it could be smart doing some diaries the Friday before the weekend to get double XP the second you login and open all lamps :D

What activities will NOT earn me bonus XP?

    * Quest XP rewards

    * Items that give XP (e.g. genie lamps, tomes of experience)

    * XP rewards at the end of minigames (e.g. Tears of Guthix, Soul Wars, Pest Control)

    * Anything which allows point exchange for XP (e.g. Penguin Points, Brimhaven Agility Arena tickets, Slayer incentives, Mrs Winkin's World of Seeds shop from Vinesweeper, jade vine)

    Source.

Edit:  Chuz beat me to it.

  4. What was your first 99, and why was it your first?

If you don't have one, what do you want to be your first, and why?

My first was woodcutting. It's my favorite skill, and I was chasing it for WAY too long... and the cape looks amazing.

  5. I do use windows 7, thank you very much. You have to go to your mouse (Control panel -> Hardware and sound -> Mouse -> Pointer options) and change it so that it does not enhance pointer precision (Which is in Wakka's guide). It feels weird, but it's the only way that I know of to make the second jump the same distance as the first one.

I apologize if I come across as harsh, but I have become very frustrated trying to figure this out.

If you could post a screenshot to illustrate how yours is set up, it would help a ton.

  6. Control panel -> Ease of Access -> Change how your Mouse works -> Setup mousekeys

    What's the problem, exactly?

    *sigh*

Since you're asking, I'm assuming you don't use Windows 7, and therefore won't be of much help. Out of desperation, I'll humor you.

I know how to GET to mousekeys for Windows 7, but it seems that no matter how I set it up, it is ineffective as a log-dropper in Runescape. It will drop the first log, but skip too great a distance to complete the rest of the line.

I'm asking if somebody that uses Windows 7 has found a viable setup for dropping logs, fish, etc.

  7. Since I've gotten my new computer (with Windows 7), I haven't been able to get a successful setup with mousekeys.

Has anybody else had/solved this problem? (please don't point me to Wakka's guide; it's useless in my situation)

If this belongs somewhere else, point me in the right direction. Please and thank you.

  8. Don't believe that. My friend is maxed out and knows all fastest ways of leveling (which he's doing constantly) and he uses the grand exchange method with 1.3k+ logs per hour. + in the teleport method you bring 3 less logs and you can't end near a banker (bankers are at least 5-10 steps away from the path outside the bank) which practically means it can't be any faster than the grand exchange method already disposed in this thread.

I pretty much figured that out on my own. [common sense ftw]

Thanks all for the replies, though. I plan on getting 99 wc first, so I'm not really in danger of wasting time with a poor method. I just wanted to run a few calculations first, and I needed a rough estimate.

  9. it's better to use the eastern lighting method then teleporting in varrock, because if you east light at the GE, you literally are starting, and ending your line 1 space away from the booth.

    Eastern lighting method?

  10. there was one method that me and my friends used to use to get around 1600-1700 logs burned per hour...involved using the varr west bank, withdrawing 26logs/varr teletab/tinderbox, teleing to the centre of varrock, burning the logs west to the bank, then repeating...was pretty efficient/saved a ton of running

I think I love this idea.

  11. 1260 logs per hour if you constantly FM at FOG. That's traditional method with just logs - tinderbox - logs - .... Fastest method though is at grand exchange with VERY intensive clicks. It's a few more logs per hour (I thought 1350 max?) but it takes WAAAAAY more attention (an frustration cause every misclick messes you up a lot) but if you really have that attention, I suggest you search youtube for a guide.

    1260 should be sufficient.

    Thanks for the reply.

  12. Teaks are faster than ivy at any level, but ivy is "easier".

Really? I thought Ivy was faster at higher levels...?

Edit: I think I'm going to go test it. I keep getting different results from everyone. <_<

  13. I've used Ivy and Sawmill, and after about an hour, the sawmill is better, although you need to be paying full attention. Even still, it was maybe 3-4k more exp than ivy, and I wasn't really paying attention to ivy.

I've heard that sawmill is significantly better. Does it get faster the higher level you get?

    I'm so confused. :wall:

  14. What are the exp rates at the Sawmill?

Is it worth my time? (Is it better than other wc training?)

Is there anything I should know before doing it?

    Please and thank you.
