I have about 3,500 pots ready to make, that should get me a good amount of herblore exp.
AFter that I am torn, I have 20K pure ess in case I want to rc. But I am thinking as long as rcing always makes you money, does getting more exp faster matter, cause actually getting extra exp costs me money since I could have used the experience while making money, plus astrals are more money than nats right now.,
Other option I am thinking range cause I hate this skill, I want to get it up so I can easily and quickly kill Jad, tried twice and died, but I want the cape for ice strykwerms.
Another option is crafting, I have 1K gold bars and 1K gold ores that I can make to bars before the weekend, no real goal in mind there
Another option is something else like wcing to get higher levels to make more money.
What do you guys think? Any other suggestions?
Runecrafting.
And judging from your sig, woodcutting shouldn't be about the money to you, with very high mellees.

I madethe huge mistake of buying the task when I got the level, and I regret it now. Thankfully, she doesn't assign them very often to me, but is there a way to cancel the buy?
-
While I do consider myself to be the unluckiest 'top skiller' when rs updates and prices are concerned (will happily give some examples if anyone wants to know why that is XD)
I'd love to.
drumgun - what do you have to say about your slayer handicap?
Interesting question. Very, very interesting.
And thank for giving us some insight, you top players kind of fascinate me.
I'd like to ask you another question. What do you super-high-leveled people think of us lowly average player? It's pretty easy for you to see what we think of you, but I'd like to see the other side of it.
-
Ahh, just like old times..
I remember this killing my woodcutting rate. And profits.
-
Just thinking about it...If I go in a dungeon with people and we wait there until they update, to end the floor, it could rake a huge bonus. don't know if it's feasible/legal, though.
-
Very nice info, thank you.
Strange to see that the 10th player is currently about 10% of the full goal bhind the first. Quite a margin.
-
Try it, then buy it and drop the "100% F2P" crap. It's only used by people too poor to buy membership, that can't buy it for technical reasons, or that want to make the game more boring for themselves to be able to show it in their sigs. that or some elitistic crap.
Members is pretty darned cheap, has more content, and makes Gielinor a better place to be.
The only good reason to stay f2p is not to have any way to buy membership (cc, etc.).

How much do you plan on spending? I'm currently getting 10M+ profit on herbs, and a DFS I bought at 32M, which should raise nicely, along with pure essence rising etc. Probably 15M overall profit.
What skills do you plan on training? Farming at the very beginning, then Fm'ing 500 magic logs, then off to RC
How you plan on playing more then normal? Perhaps not longer on the computer, but certainly more focused.
Expecting to get any 99's?No.
What order do you plan on training skills, if doing multiple skills.
1) Check health all trees. 10 minutes +-1.
2) Quickly burn 500 mages
3) Off to Ourania
4)(If I get bored) Slay like crazy.
-
Ok so does anyone know (yet?) or can estimate the rate of the bonus depletion as you do skills? I am planning on training various multiple skills and want to really break down times for how long each task/training skill will take.
You're talking about the bonus multiplier depletion? Sure.

As for your other questions, sorry, can't answer them.

Except that 2 weeks' notice allows you to actually train your skills during the bonus xp weekend. So there's that.
Allows you to train buyables that you prepared for in advance. Otherwise itil be unbuyable on the GE for two weeks leading up to it. Also, you could always, i donno... Train normal skills?
And if you prepared in advance, then 2 weeks notice or 3 days notice, won't make any difference (except a less screwed economy, which coincidentally, benefits me).
As i said, i personally don't mind. But saying 2 weeks notice has a lesser effect on the economy is pretty bad justification.
What about getting herb through MTK/aberrant spectres/druids/etc? Mine pure ess, chop logs, slay for charms, mine granite, all that stuff.
Like it or not, those 2 weeks really help with preparation. With 2 weeks, it's not a contest of who had the most herbs in bank at the time it's announced/can be first to buy. (Well, still kind of, but much less worse).
-
People seem to forget this is a game.. So what if the market is screwed up for 3 weeks? There's some action going on. Not always tat same routine. Speculation. Expectation.
As for it cheapening skills.... Not really, except perhaps herblore, but it's so difficult to get your hands on herby stuff that there's some merit to it. All in all, everyone gets the same chance. 4 days definitely should be enough to check-health some trees, at the very least.
-
Superheating old is very very fast. I 'm getting 240k xp perhour, so about 125k smithing and 115k magic.
-
Where the bonus xp will get interesting, is on top players without maxed herblore. Time to get it done cheaply, with lots and lots of money blown away.
But I don't see them really moving in the highscores. Perhaps some runecrafting?
-
I wonder, is it more effective to first smith 7000 mith bars, or first construct 20000 mahogany logs.
Depends what you need to get up the most.
-
Now that the details have been released I figured I would ask for the help of someone whose studies math a few years longer then I have. Here goes...
I have 76 herblore, I would like to get as close to 88 as possible before running out of herbs. What potions, in what order and how many of each should I make to do this most effectively?
I have about 40m in herbs to trade around and work with so any options are open to me.
I'm unsure about how many pots per hour I can make but my computer and connection aren't great so give me a little space there please.
I have no experience in that, but you're probably too late to buy supplies. I think there was a small crash just before the last one. Might be your only chance (AKA Prepare a backup plan).
-
Cool info, no real difference except for summon...
# 540-570 minutes: 1.15# 570-600 minutes: 1.25x
Typo there?
EDIT: Oh, and I just saw that goldsmithing gauntlets weren't mentionned. I hope this one isn't a typo

Last year was bad maths. Hopefully they make it add up properly this time.
Atleast if they say 2 + 2 = 4 they should try to make it actually equal 4 rather than 3.4.
This year its better to just stock huge amounts of things incase they think the answer is 3.1 and mess up peoples calculations of what resources they need.
I imagine its actually quite annoying for most people who are trying to maximise whatever they trying do achieve in xp/gp. Especially with things like herblore where you unlock stuff like overloads and plan to ride the rest of the trip on them with other bought resources instead of wasting money making the previous less worth while items, only to discover you havnt gained enough xp due to jagex bad maths and forced to buy more at a heavy cost or lose out on the huge xp from overloads. Further wasting time making those extra pots rather than the overloads themselves.
*cof*
But yes. Something similar xp is what bonus xp weekend is all about. If its herblore in particular remember to stock up big time ontop of what you think you need as you can always find some use for leftovers anyway.
Oh yeah, I remembering doing all the calculus to get accurate estimates of how many seconds t buy and when to use them, but then, they didn't follow the formula they gave us. Gold charms actig as buffer really saved the day, for me.

Trees can get diseased, you can pay a farmer to protect the trees, and yews are the only tree where that's not worth doing. But once they're grown, they won't get diseased. So you're good.
Thank you.
-
Can a tree with the "check-health" option become diseased? I planted my trees for the bonus xp weekend yesterday, and I want to know if they can get sick now that they have this option.
(They're yews, if that matters, which I guess it doesn't)

Nothing, really, except "bot hunters" asking for levels every 5 minutes...
seriously, I'm pretty sure if a bot can do, say, abyss rcing, it can answer qc questions...
-
Last update was either at the same moment or after they announced the w-end. Prices should raise quite a lot in the next hours.
-
My opinion, exctly, and why my dungeoneering level is so low. I can't find a team at all.
-
Get your hands on herbs/planks/blood runes ASAP. Maybe even nats will rise. Good money for you if your rc is over 44 (which you should raise if it isn't)
-
I don't have any real insight on the moneymaking point, but I'd just like to menion that supplies ahould be a helluvalot hard to buy the nearer we get to the weekend. And that 40M will probably become 50-60M.
I'm getting 99 cooking ( I have the gauntlets)
