    Making History 2 please...
  2. To clear this up, I hate people on both extremes. Atheists that have their beliefs to act rebellious, or never even looked at the possibility, and Theists who blindly follow their religion without any consideration for other possibilities. And I especially hate people, Theist and Atheist, that feel the need to try convert you. Especially when they get pissed off about stupid things. Ex. Atheists wanting "In God We Trust" to be taken off US currency, Theists wanting schools to stop teaching the theory of Evolution.

    Would have been more interesting.
  5. If you can watch this entire thing without smiling or being cheered up, consider yourself not human. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0sgwz-f-u4
  6. Leechers on Pirate Bay. Half the stuff won't even download.
  7. And yet another thread sacrificed to the Religious Debate Monster that has been harassing this forum like the [bleep]ing Scylla.
  8. 1. People who know nothing about the world. Norway is not part of the United Kingdom. 2. People who think that socialized health care means we will become Communist. 3. People who think that Communism is evil. 4. People who make ignorant statements about US involvement in the Middle East, when they know nothing of the individual nations involved, US relationships with these nations, the people of these nations, and can't even find the Middle East on the map. If you think that Aljazeera is a terrorist organization run by Saddam Hussein, you really need to do your research. 5. People who follow their religion blindly and without question. 6. Atheists who refuse to at least consider the possibility of a theist entity. 7. Anyone who feels that all war is stupid. Not all situations can be solved by the use of diplomacy. Actions speak louder than words. 8. Kim Jong Il 9. Disney, Nick, and other "pop stars". Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber, the Wolff brothers, and others like them? They aren't talented. At all. 10. People who are against freedom of choice. This is anyone who opposes abortion, gay marriage, and anyone that thinks they should have any say in decisions thar directly affect the way you live your life.

Today my sister's adopted Chinese friend (named Blakely) was in our kitchen getting a drink. I accidentally called her Ling Zao...
  10. Looks like this project will have to be put on hold for a few...months. My mom thinks I'm an idiot and won't let me touch my damn computer, thinking I'll break it, even though I explained to her that all I need to do is take the side panel off and check the power supply. Now she wants to wait until July so we can hire an expert to do it <_<

While I have heard some SERIOUSLY elitist things posted here (All people below 110 IQ should be killed, wut?), the people here really are smarter than almost every single person I've met. The people here site Aljazeera as a news source, the people I know IRL blame it for 9/11. When it comes to intelligence, it doesn't really matter (to me at least) how well you do in school. When I think of what I consider to be "smart" in a person, I think of how familiar they are with the world, and who they are. If you follow the "in-crowd" blindly, you're an idiot. If you blindly rebel from whatever the "in-crowd" is doing, you're an idiot. I'm getting off topic. Maybe we could continue by PM? But anyway, I consider a "smart" person to be someone who has at least basic knowledge of what's going on in the world, acts the way they feel they should be acting, and upholds their own values. Most people here in OT fit this description, while the majority of the people I know IRL are the complete opposite.

And you have every right. But that is funny. Mom-"Hey Justin, want to help me fold clothes?" Me-"Not now Mom...doing homework." Mom-"[bleep] you then!" Ha. A lot of people are terrible though. Am I the only one who thinks people are fine as is? One or two anecdotes aren't a solid representation of a larger whole. Should I make a thread showcasing TIFs experiences with the denizens of earth? Should I make a thread showcasing TIFs elitist asshattery posts which makes them THINK they're superior in some form or another? If the things I heard typical people say in real life were half as intelligent as whats posted here, believe me I wouldn't be so attached to this place. The people on TIF ARE better than the general population, at least from what I've seen.

  16. It's 32 Bit, so thanks for the warning. Almost wasted some cash. Would you recommend the card I mentioned in the original post, or is there anything better card I can get? (Preferrably within the 100$-200$ range.)
  17. Here's my computer and display info. For your viewing pleasure, I also drew a dragon.
  18. Who are all of you!?!?
  19. You already did it wrong. Starting over. Day 1. Exposure.
  20. Hey guys. I'm sitting atop a mountain of leftover gift cards, and decided to spend it on upgrading my PC to play a wider range of games, and improve performance for games I already have. Since being able to spawn more objects in Gmod was the original inspiration for this, I thought what I needed was a RAM upgrade. However, upon consulting CanYouRunIt, the one thing that seems to keep me from not only achieving, but surpassing the recommended settings on most games, is my Video Card. This was what failed when I ran a check for Just Cause 2. Recommended: DX10 compatible graphics card with 512 MB of memory (Nvidia GeForce GTS 250 series/ ATI Radeon HD 5750 series) You Have: ATI display adapter (0x94C1) I'm leaning towards the ATI Radeon HD 5750. The thing is, will this make my existing games run faster, or will I need to upgrade RAM as well for that? And will this card allow me to play most games, or just stuff like Just Cause 2? Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer. When it comes to hardware, I'm what I like to call "Technologically Impaired."

This was the first movie I ever watched, it came out just a few months after I was born. So much nostalgia, it's going to be great! My only worry is that people have such fond memories of the original Toy Story that no matter how good it is, there will be at least a few people that complain. Also, are they getting the original voices back? Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, etc?
  24. You mean those subway bombings? Those were just further evidence of the truth: [bleep]es be crazy.
