Today...
Today when I fell asleep, I had a dream where the entire movie "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" played in my head. It was exactly like the real movie, except the role of Short Round was filled by Sean Connery. I just want you to take a moment and imagine the line "Hold on to your potatoes Dr. Jones!" being spoken by Sean Connery.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
There's no such thing as "skill" in a video game. Video games revolve solely around reaction time. I personally think it's just arrogant to ride around on your high horse proclaiming that your favorite gun isn't one that is classified as "overpowered". This. Though in this game, connection has more to do with it than actual reaction time.

I'm better than you because I've never attempted alchemy by clapping my hands or drawing an array.

Falklands Dispute
If Argentina decides to make the first move and fire on the Brits, they'll have more than just UK and US forces to deal with. All of NATO gets involved in that case. So all in all, Argentina will sit there making empty threats like a pouty child. Though if they do make a move, the UK will probably have it under control before anyone else can respond.

When you speak to these friends, do they give any clues that could indicate they are actually Al Gore in disguise?

I've once read that New York and New Jersey has the worst drivers of the country... I blame the Italians. Living in New York, I would probably have to agree. Actually, when I was in the Bahamas, I had a conversation with a guy vacationing from Holland. When he asked me where I was from, I said New York. He replied "Oh, so you're Italian?" Made me lol, half for the stereotype, and half because he was right. Typical NY traffic conversation below. "Aaaay! Whatsa deal?!" "Aaah, you tellin' me whatsa deal? I'll show you whatsa deal!"

But that's just what I'm getting at. The reason I'm doing this is because it's far, far better than having a routine job. You may have money, but you won't have the free time to enjoy it! Not that you'll actually get everything that you earn, considering ridiculous tax rates and all that. There's an Andrew Ryan/Ayn Rand quote to be used in here somewhere.

Got to thinking what I'm going to do after HS. And the conclusion I came to was that stability=boring. Going to work at Gamestop for about a year or so until I have enough money to make my way to Cumberland, Maryland. From there, I hook up with my friend, who is prepared as well. From there, we just walk from place to place, and we should eventually end up in California. From there, we buy plane tickets, and travel around the planet from then on. Whenever we run out of money, we work random jobs around whatever town we happen to be in. Most of the more expensive things we need we already have, so all we need to worry about is food/batteries/etc... I also realized three major problems. 1) Sleeping. We have a few tents we can use, but where would we set up? We're not sure about the laws on that sort of thing yet. 2) The western states. We cannot walk along a long stretch of highway in the blazing sun. Either aquire other transportation, or stick to the north? We don't know yet. 3) This is not going to last forever. We can keep this up for a good few years, but then what? If we're not on the East Coast when we finish, we're pretty screwed.

I'm a little confused. Does the store have proof besides her word that they were stolen? And can the police become involved?

American Education and Foreign Language Learning
Let's face it, for a long time what is now the UK pretty much ruled the world. As a result, much of the world speaks at least basic English. A foreign language is a useful thing to learn, but I don't really think it should be required.

Least Favorite Midwest State
Ohio Because mckinzy5 is from there And since when is Nevada in the midwest? Since it's close enough.
-
Least Favorite Midwest State
Nevada, because all they do is test planes and cause UFO conspiracy theorist nerds to spout their crap on forums rather than contributing to the welfare of the desert like all the other midwest states.

First of all, no, she did not suffer at all fromgoing with the case, she stood to lose NOTHING had my family not counter sued. Her lawyer was her boyfriend (yes, she ALREADY had another boyfriend), who took the case for free. The Treaty of Versailles punished not only German leaders, but the citizens of Germany that had done nothing wrong. There are no innocent people being damaged by the counter suit, so it's not really the same at all. How is it far more damage? It was everything or nothing on both sides. She was poor before not because she was unfortunate, but because, and I'm quoting her here, "I'm too gorgeous to work.", and was living off of his money, which came from the business. That doesn't even sound like something someone says without sarcasm. The way we have it set up, the money from the business is divided between the five brothers, and because of it, we each make a comfortable living, not too rich, not too poor. If she gets it, she becomes filthy stinkin' rich, and our entire family goes broke. She knew this, and she was more than willing to go on. At one point, they even offered to make her the sixth share, and she refused. They gave her a chance to bail out, and she didn't. Anyway, if we didn't wreck her life, then the lives of everyone in the five brothers familys get wrecked, probably 13-20 people. And to be honest, I don't think any of us have any sympathy for what happened to her. Like I said, she was well aware of the damage she came so close to causing. As for burning the house/business down, I'm sure glad it didn't come to that, because if she won we wouldn't have a nice place to visit during the summer. But the idea behind the option was that if we were going to be poor, at least a lying greedy [bleep] (who ended up trying the SAME GODDAM THING with her lawyer boyfriend) would have nothing to gain from it. Now her only escape from her misery is to freeze to death in a New York City alleyway, and I can tell you that on that day, there will be free drinks all around at the Montauk house. Anyway, I do appreciate you trying to understand my point of view, whether you agree with me or not.- Last one to post wins
TO TRAIN THEM IS MY CAUSE- Justice System Fails
I have a book on my nightstand called the Stupid Crook Book, about criminals that were caught because they did something stupid. I'll post some in a min. "Moronic Move 1: Our crook smashes his fist through a window in the shed - shredding his hand. MM2: Our crook successfully breaks into the second story of the nearby garage. The garage is dark, and he doesn't have a flashlight. He doesn't notice the hole in the floor, and falls through. MM3: Dazed and confused, he falls into the grease pit, cracking his skull. MM4: He gives up with the garage and breaks into the house, where he tumbles down the cellar stairs. MM5: He gives up and gets back in his car, which he looses control of, hits a tree, and smashes his head into the steering wheel. MM6: He gets out of the car, locking the doors behind him. For some reason, he then retraces his steps back into the garage, and retraces his fall back into the grease pit. MM7: He goes back to the car, and realizes he locked the keys inside. He breaks in, but by mistake puts the car in neutral. He rolls down the hill and hits a second tree. MM8: He gets knocked out by this hit, and his head falls to rest on the steering wheel. The blaring horn attarcts the attention of neighbors, who call the police. He ended up pleading guilty to criminal mischief. (He never actually stole anything.)"- 8.8-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Chile
