  1. The first post had a list of players and what system they play on, which is pretty useful.
  2. While it was building or fully built? Fully Built. Ping was bouncing around on that server so there would be times when it was super laggy, and times when it was perfect. And everything inbetween. It was 2fort, and none of the sentries were shooting, no teleporters were working, and dispensers didnt dispense. I just kinda walked into their spawn exit area and set up. By the time I had a level 3 built, everything started working again and their sentry took me out, then mine got theirs.
  3. Could be, but with that [bleep]ed shape, you would need to be dead on to score a kill. I'm only about 25% into the guide according to the kindel, but from what I've read, Solanum or however you spell it is centered in the frontal lobe, so not only would you have to hit the brain, but somewhere in the forehead region. I'm also not a fan of it's limited reach, but eh, seems like it would work pretty well.
  4. Today my sentry gun took out another sentry...
  5. According to Max Brooks, this thing is Jesus.
  6. Is there a way to edit controls? Its annoying to walk with the arrow keys, and the control key should be left out of the equation entirely in a third person game.

  9. I kinda like my Math teacher this year, but not for the reasons you might think. He doesn't give total freedom like some teachers, infact he's an authoritarian dictator. But that's what I like about him sort of. He has a sense of humor, which is awesome, but unfortunately most people in my class classify him as "mean." But he's not being mean IMO, it's just that there's no BS.
  10. Who said it would have to be that focused on SP? This is a game that would more than make up the production cost EASILY, just because of the concept. And it would be especially fun to do co-op multiplayer like many people wanted but didn't get in Dead Rising. Zombie survival in co-op that is more about survival than L4D style gameplay would be nothing short of amazing. Now here's the real kicker. Because of what the core game would be, it would be fun to play on 360 and PS3, but what if the PC version developed a modding community? THAT would be epic, though the current closest thing to that is L4D.
  11. Not much else to talk about right now, there hasn't been any info for a while.
  12. I must have it! You do know the deal doesn't end there? MW took it up a knotch, and that box will be wrapped in a layer of plastic. I imagine the stores will even go so far as to put a security tag on it.
  13. It'll come in a box.
  14. Yeah I might follow your instructions in the thread and try it out, it seems pretty cool :P You just gave me another idea. What if, in the game, there were different options for the zombies? Like, do they run, do they shamble, do they die from bodyshots, headshots only? Everyone has their own idea of what a zombie takeover would be like, and there would be no better place to show this than in a sandbox game.
  15. Who said anything about saving them? You wouldn't have to do anything, your main goal would be to ensure your own survival. Shooting zombies in the head gets old real fast, as shown in Dead Rising. I had a gun and a lead pipe in my inventory, and I found myself preferring the pipe. Eh, bad example, its not really what you meant I guess. But you get my point, surviving can be fun, especially when you survive and shoot zombies in teh faec at the same time.
  16. So while searching the web, I decided to look for a zombie armageddon game, that would work like this. At the start of the game, you're plopped in a random spot in the middle of a heavily populated city. There are about 2-5 zombies that start at random points in the city. This would mean that there would only be a few zeds at first, but then it would eventually go out of control. You would be able to talk to anyone in the city, and try and get them to join your group. Some would not want to join, some would. Different people would have random stats, except for police officers and thing like that, which would be better with more specific skills. You would need to gather resources from the city, food, ammunition and stuff, which would not respawn. You could find wood, hammers, nails and stuff to board up areas, which would need to be checked often of course. If bitten, different people would take different amounts of time to turn, and some would try and hide it if they were bitten. I could spend hours going over all of this stuff, but I think you guys get the idea by this point. Basically, an almost perfectly realistic zombie armageddon simulator. Apparently the master of the undead himself, George A. Romero, shared this idea, as he got a team working on a game that came surprisingly close to this idea, a game called City of the Dead. http://pc.ign.com/objects/725/725113.html Of course, its far from exactly what I mean, but its the closest thing. Unfortunately it never saw the light of day. My question is, HOW IN THE HOLY HELL HAS A GAME LIKE THIS NOT BEEN MADE? It's seems like such an obvious thing for a developer to do, so why hasn't it happened?
  17. Its going to suck, but I'm going to get it. Why do people say things like this? "WII IS INFERIOR CONSOLE MW GOIN 2 SUK LULZ1111" When did gaming get so serious? It's still a fun game to play regardless of whether or not the graphics are up to snuff with the $400 consoles or however much they cost nowadays. Nobody is talking about graphics, thouh tbh the sniper mission really doesn't work without the advanced graphics. The obvious problem being the inevitably crappy online. Oh, and IIRC Treyarch is doing the port, if MW was doing it it would have at least had a chance. But you're right, gaming really isn't a serious thing, and if it turns out to be decent, then so be it.
  18. Pretty much  ..... :(
  19. You're not supposed to put your backpack in there, you put your books in there :| You're a freshman aren't you? You have to, its been said. It was obviously designed for books, but because of Colombine now we're not allowed to have one outside of a locker.
  20. My stupid new locker in HS, it's damn anorexic. I had to FIGHT to get my backpack in there.
  21. Well it would be hard to pinpoint the worst, but the first one off the top of my head is Soldier of Fortune: Payback. After looking at the box, I decided I needed to play it. It claimed to have incredible gore physics and the best bodily destruction ever put into a video game, showing pictures of a wounded enemy holding his stomach as his guts hung out, and truly epic firefights. Thankfully that little tiny doubt in the back of my mind that comes out whenever I buy something spoke up, and I decided to rent instead. Thank. Christ. It was awful. There were only a few idiotic enemies at a time, so much for epic firefights, and the "greatest gore ever in a video game" consisted of shooting hit body parts disappearing, not being destroyed, just disappearing, and a small splat of blood.

My first day of High School today. Same as last year, really. You're allowed to carry your backpack around here, so GF school security.
