  1. Censor Noob- How dare your ****ing words are ****ing not censored! You ****ing *****!!!! Not trying to offend anyone here, just talking about the poor kids who resort to that when you don't give them money or anything.
  2. LOl just remembered that newbies cant even use trains because you need like 70+ enginering and 60+ smithing to build a car. Actually, the requirements for the first of the trains (Standard locomotive and tank cars) only require 45 smithing. That's it. You also only need 1 Engineer, but that doesn't count... Yes, becaues if it goes to skilling places, it would upset the economy. How much would it lessen the impact if I changed the cars' capacity to, say, 150? That's only 5x the inventory space, where the previous capacity was 10x inventory space. That's not my point. The point is that just because you think that it gives bad xp/ amount paid doesn't mean that people won't buy it. Addy is still bought by many people and there is a market for them. Hopefully the above reply solves this. Hmm your probably right on this. There are tons of f2p who have no mage and low level smithing and engineering. But a decent amount of them have the 45 Smithing needed to start the skill.
  3. That's why people powermine there. They do it for the xp, they don't care about banking it. They also go there because it's not crowded. Still, just packing it all in the train saves money and time. Even if you only want the Xp, it's still useful. Better places for that. The Lumbridge east mine always has 6-10 newbies mining there, the Varrock east mine is crowded, the Dwarven mine has scorpions that attack you, it's far from a bank, and there's too few rocks. Im fine with you doing this as long as THEY DO NOT GO TO ANY SKILLING PLACE, only to cities Doesn't that kill the purpose of having freight cars? Uhhhh yes they do buy it. I know a lot of friends that superheat addy. That doesn't sound like a good idea, as if you went to a mining spot, you'd have to carry the nats, bars, etc. And if it's close to a furnace, alching gives better xp. What newbie is going to know how to understand how to use this train system? I doubt you'll recieve more than 1 customer per month. A newbie wouldn't use this, but a player who reads updates and the KB would. Which TONS of players do.
  4. Not true. One 30 at a time does not beat 5 18s at a time.
  5. Large but useless mine there. 2 Clay, 2 Tin, 5 Copper, 6 Iron, 2 Gold. It has iron, which many powermine with. Trains offer a faster alternative to dropping the ores one by one. It also saves ores which can be sold. Gold is a useful crafting item, used to make power amulets. High level crafters then sell these for a good profit. You'd also be suprised how many people (Including members) buy bronze bars in bulk. This doesn't make sense to what you have in your first post. It says that when you put stuff in like a bank, but right now you say that you can't put anything in... Also you said that in a hopper car it can hold up to 250 ores and here you say it can hold up to 2 billion coal? Which one is it? The car itself can only hold 250 single ores, not slots, and the unloading depot has 15 slots that can hold an unlimited amount of a single item in one slot. When a train reaches its destination, all of its cargo are moved to the unloading depot were it can be taken out and the passengers appear in the station. Also, the depots are not universal like the banks. If you ship 5 logs to Falador, you can only get them from Falador. OK. You might as well add a "tele to the rune rocks in wildy" There's a reason why there's no bank next to the mine or a tele spell to it. Getting high lvl resources isn't supposed to be easy. Otherwise, they would have just added a bank right next to every yew, every addy rock, every rune rock etc... Generally, the only real goods profitable via train will be magic logs, ores,(Except Runite) and a few fish. Adamant isn't highly requested because it's too expensive for the Xp given from smithing it, so they just don't bother. You can also profit from player transport. The reason those randoms were added was to slow the process to keep stable prices. You've now lost my support.
  6. 3 SPS? That's slower than walking! :ohnoes: But walking requires all that constant clicking, and doors, and agility obstacles.... ohh man I hate those. Some real narrow gauge trains go slower than people can walk. See some videos at the place where you can broadcast yourself. I think you're confused about your train types. Narrow gauge trains I've seen move as fast as a regular one.
  7. No one goes to rimmington because, well, there's nothing there. There's a large mine in Rimmington. But i see plenty of people mining in lumby west mine. There's a decent amount of addy and mith rocks there, so yes, there are a lot of people. Only about 2-3 at a time. Plus, there's a bank about 1 minute north of it. it would be more of a hastle to load your train up with ores, get ready to start, make sure no one else is using the track,You don't have to wait at all to use the track. then have na 8 sec delay The delay only applies to if you're shipping the cargo of other players. Otherwise, you leave right away. then get off, then withdraw your ores, then run from the train station to the bank, then bank, then go back. The unloading depot is like getting holiday items from Diango. [/b]You can take things out, but you can't put them in. You can also remove the items noted and can fit 2 billion coal ores in one slot like a bank. So, you can load up the depot, take out the items noted, then deposit them in the bank, all at once. Actually, thinking about it now, i don't see how trains will improve your skilling. Teleing and using enchanted jewelery is much faster.Where's the Lumbridge west mine teleport? Rimmington? Port Sarim? How about the Piscatoris Fishing colony, Taverley, or Port Khazard? And prices have not really been rising. The only significant rise was yews, but because of the GE, they are rapidly dropping back to 300ea. Two of the things you said are the opposite. First, you say it's too fast and will make the price of everything go down, but then you say it's too slow to be useful enough.
  8. It's doubtful that they would actually organize in a case like this. Some well-led clans might be able to make an organized attack, but for the most part it'd be anarchy. F2P has about 10 times the numbers as P2P, so their numbers will probably beat the advanced armor and weapons of the P2Pers.
  9. This is also a hypothetical thread. I know this will never happen in a billion years, it's just a thread to see your opinions about this "War" if it were to happen.
  10. It's not a serious thread, but it creates a discussion and debate over who would be able to defeat the other. "F2P would win, because..." Also, who would you want to win? You've only narrowed your choice down to 3 answers.
  11. One day, you go to the main Runescape site. You see a notice. "As a short update, we have seen on our forums huge dislikes against F2P. To settle this, we are starting a war between the two halves of our players. If Members win, then F2P will be removed and Runescape will have a cost to play AT ALL. All free players' accounts will be banned. On the other hand, if F2P wins, the entire game is open to free players and there will be no cost to play the full game. Members will receive a complete refund, but their accounts will be banned. If it is a tie, Runescape will be closed down, Members will get a refund, and all accounts are banned. There will also be NO sequel." What would happen if the sides of F2P and P2P fought in a huge war in Runescape? Who would win? Vote according to this criteria: 1. All autoers will fight to the extent of their capabilities. They are all instantly logged in and will auto-attack any enemy players, regardless of level. 2. Members may use their items, spells, skills, and prayers against free players. Ancient Magicks, Dragon weapons, and Barrows armors have NO effect on Free players. However, Barrows weapons, Dragon Armor, and everything else can damage them. This includes Godswords, Whips, and Granite Mauls. 3. The Multiple Logging-in rule applies. Only one of each player's accounts can be used at a time, free or member. 4. If you are on a free account, you MUST fight Members, and vice versa. You cannot attack a member of your own side. 5. This occurs all on one server. Also, being on the war server is mandatory to log in. No lagging, crashing, bugs, or system updates will occur. 6. Jagex Moderators will be split up. Half fight for members, half fight for Free. They cannot use any of their banning/muting capabilities and CAN be killed. 7. If you do not kill at least ONE enemy, it is considered a forfeit and your account is banned. 8. Free players can enter the member's areas, but they can only perform actions there that they could in a free to play area, such as fill jugs, cut free to play trees, cast F2P spells, etc. 9. If you are killed, you are put into a cage in the middle of blackness with the rest of the dead players. You lose your items, cannot use private or clan chat, and cannot attack or be attacked. This will be your final place on Runescape, as you will be banned when the war ends. 10. You cannot enter special quest-only areas. This prevents Members from killing an enemy and running to a safe area. 11. The only area where you cannot be attacked is Tutorial Island. 12. A player is chosen at random to be diseased. This works like poison, but if you stand next to another player for at least 5 seconds, they too will be infected. You can tell if a player is infected by the Green Skull above their head. You will be damaged 8 from the infection every minute. It will not wear off and the only way to cure it is by drinking a dose of "Banana Essence" which is obtained by using a Sliced Banana on a water filled vial. The potion has 4 doses. 13. As you log in, you must choose your side. If you are a member and choose F2P, your membership is cancelled and you will not be banned if your team (F2P) wins. You also can only use free to play content in the war. To join the P2P side from F2P, you must start a subscription first, and then you gain access to P2P content to use in the war. If your team wins, (P2P) you will not be banned. If you choose the side you are already on, nothing will really happen, and you will keep the content you have to use in the war. 14. The battle lasts for 3 days. After this, the side with the most dead players loses or until a side has been completely wiped out. Only the players who fought count as a member of that team. If, somehow, the losses on each side are the same, it is a tie. Here is what you can vote: A- F2P will win, but I want P2P to win. B- P2P will win, but I want F2P to win. D- F2P will win, but I want it to tie. E- P2P will win, but I want it to tie. F- P2P will win, and I want them to. G- F2P will win, and I want them to. H- It will tie, but I want F2P to win. I- It will tie, but I want P2P to win. J- It will tie, and I want it to. K- I do not want the war to occur. (Only choose this if you do not want a certain side to win or tie) ****NOTE: PLEASE STATE SPECIFICALLY THE LETTER YOU CHOOSE OR YOUR VOTE WILL NOT BE COUNTED!**** Votes: A-0 B-0 C-0 D-0 E-0 F-4 (Tied with G) G-4 (Tied with F) H-0 I-0 K-3
  12. F2P needs anti-poisons, as well as a new, 1337, tele-block-block spell.
  13. Actually, the railroad does not go to Relleka. Nor does it go anywhere in Morytania. The barbarians at Relleka are too unadvanced to know how to use railroads, and the swampy terrain in Morytania is too soft to build tracks on. Also, the Wilderness did have tracks at one point, but as the land died away, there was no one to maintain the tracks. Not everyone can have a train, because they have Smithing and Engineer requirements to build and use them.
  14. Actually, it won't give you motivation at all. Like i said, adding trains makes getting raw materials too easy. LIke someone said before, they're far away from the bank for a reason. Well, you know how very few people are seen at Rimmington, and the Lumbridge west mine? It's because the methods of transportation there are too slow to make a decent profit. Also, since macroers have left, the prices are going up, so this should balance it. My suggestion: Make it so that the more clogged your thing is, the less xp you earn. Xp will be based on how quickly you can get from 1 station to another, so if you leave it clogged, then it will slow you down, therefore you earn less xp. -you forgot to comment on this It makes sense to do that, after all, a skilled engineer knows how to deliver his cargo the fastest. I
  15. So there's going to be a train station ending at every place where you can get raw materials? That would mean getting raw materials would be too easy, therefore dropping the price of raw materials would plummet. Change it so that it only goes to cities.(not remote places where you gather raw materials) If the price goes down, then mine more. Besides, it gives more motivation to raise exp AND make money at the same time. And What happens when you have too many ashes and you get clogged? Will it just slow you down? Will it use up more fuel? What about if you run out of fuel, where will your train go? You can't just leave it there. My suggestion: Make it so that the more clogged your thing is, the less xp you earn. Xp will be based on how quickly you can get from 1 station to another, so if you leave it clogged, then it will slow you down, therefore you earn less xp. Also, instead of having it run out of fuel during the middle, make it so that it checks that you have enough supplies ON BOARD, so that you never run out. It's very unlikely for that to happen, and you can choose for your train to stop at refuelling depots. Players will choose to have a slow train or have a train that runs the risk of being out of fuel. Also What if your a bounty hunter that needs to travel from lumby to edge to get to bh. You get to the station only to realize you need to wait for that train to get at least partially to edge before it goes. You wait and wait, but you still don't know what's going on. You're waiting on a train but somehow it won't leave. REASON: It's because the train that just left got a random event 3 seconds into their journey and they can't complete it! Suggestion: Get rid of random events, they will cause a mess like this. The rockslide one can go, but the hobos STAY!
  16. This thread was posted a while ago by me. This is a recreation of my thread, it may still exist. No credit for you. :notalk: I mean MY thread, That I made. Here is a the link. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=620529 What does it have that yours doesn't [hide]Pictures.[/hide] That what I mean, PS: Feel free to use some of my idea's But give me credit for making them.[/b] But that's a different thread. I'm not using any of the items you have, so why do you need credit?
  17. Sorry, I can't, I'm not a member. Besides, if I post a free to play suggestion on there, it'll get spammed and flamed until it gets locked. (Not saying all RSOFers do that)
  18. 3 SPS? That's slower than walking! :ohnoes:
  19. Thanks for finding problems with my thread so I could fix them.
  20. It doesn't matter when trains were made. For the 5th time, RUNESCAPE IS NOT MEDIEVAL. IT IS FANTASY WHICH MEANS ANYTHING CAN BE ADDED. Also, this, in a sense, increases your inventory 10x. It can also deliver tem to nearby banks and at a fast pace. The major point here is to utilize far away resource locations that currently are too slow to be profitable. They make them far away for a good reason. Isn't it obvious why resources such as rune rocks are so far from the bank, and the wilderness has so many coal and higher level ore mining spots? It's to make you put more effort into getting them and to keep the prices relatively high and therefore keep the economy stable. My main point was in fact that we don't really need another major transport system, we already have plenty. And please don't flame me, I was only giving constructive criticism. Well, F2P really needs this. It's very slow to move around in it, but the railroads are limited. Unlike horses, which are bound to be Members Only, Trains are, "You HAVE to go here. You HAVE to go there". But horses, on the other hand, you probably can go pretty much anywhere you want on them. Also, the price of Runite is that because of what it can make, not how hard it is to obtain.

  22. The picture looks fake. No it's not, if I did a fake a person with 10 IQ could notice lol :XD: Which is why I noticed.
  23. Well, It would make more sense in my opinion to make the whole system narrow gauge, to save even more space. Also the use of normal gauge in unsettled areas wouldn't make sense as the areas are less developed than the areas near Varrock, Falador, etc. I am almost completed with the maps of the railroad network, both F2P and P2P, and will be adding them soon. And to the people who just say, "This is a bad idea" Or "It's laggy/F2P" You are making no real contributions to the thread. I'd like to know why it would lag, why it shouldn't be added to F2P,(Not the "We Pay" things) and how it can be fixed. I would also like to thank the people again who are helping to make this a better suggestion. (Even if they didn't support) I'm fairly sure at first glance, people think this is just a nooby post who wants to severly strain the technology of the Runescape content. That isn't true at all.
