  1. The best thing to do is give free players their own forum, and give members a private forum for themselves.
  2. Didn't spell complete right. Smooth. Anyway, this thread is saying stop ranting about updates, or what is described in the story might happen.
  3. I support, and how about 3-6 way clan wars for larger fights?
  4. Horses and Chariots are a little too primitive for Runescape, just like Trains are a little too modern. Plus, I'd need to trash over half of the content of my thread to change to that. Horses aren't allowed to be suggested anyway.

Something you and many Members don't understand. Anything F2P gets will also go to P2P. Even though F2P can use them, P2P still is able to use Clan Wars, Team Capes, Duel Arena, and Bounty Hunter. It wasn't restricted to Free Players only. If F2P gets something, so does P2P.
  6. No. I'm saying stop ranting about the updates because Jagex could have made the game much worse than this.
  7. It wasn't supposed to have a moral... Eh, why not.
  8. This is supposed to be a fun thread, it really isn't happening. You go to the front page one day, to see that a recent update has happened. As you click "Read More" you read this: "Here at Jagex, we have received many complains on the Rants Forum about issues with slow servers and lagging. We also have read many Rants that reject hard-to-make updates in the game. To solve this problem, we will be dumping almost all of the coding out of the game. The release of Summoning will be cancelled, seeing as many players do not wish to receive this skill. We hope this will make the game much simpler and will make Runescape a more pleasent experience for all of our players." Confounded by this and not knowing what they mean you still expect your character to be wearing that full Veracs you put on him/her. But that will not be the case. You click "Use an Existing Account", and for some reason it skips the Detail and World Select pages. Suddenly, when you hit the login page, you see that the stone and flaming Rune-themed torches are gone, and the whole thing is replaced with an ugly brown rectangle, with the username/password fill-ins drawn black as if it were made on MS Paint. You think, "Hack?" Anyhow, you attempt to log on to resume your fishing. But... "Incorrect username or password- please try again" Gone. Your main account is all gone. You are horrified. Years of work may have all gone to a waste. You rush to the Main Page again, hoping to see it as you first went to it in the hopes of using your recovery questions. But, It looks just like the Login Page now. No links, other than create an account, view recent news, or use an existing account. All in the same ugly black-and-brown format. The recovereies are lost, along with the Forums. You woefully log into your skiller, successfully, thank goodness, but- WAIT! Your character is nothing but a green square, that says the following on it: C1 M5 W0 A0 It is among a few other green squares and purple squares that have similar combinations of letters and numbers on a solid, red background. The toolbar is removed, and one of the purple squares moves toward your green square. You see, Hit Miss Hit Hit And your green square moves to the bottom left corner of the screen. Baffled, you quickly visit the Knowledge Base- which thankfully, hasn't been changed yet. It says the combinations of letters and numbers on the characters mean this: C1=Combat Lvl 1(Replaces all Combat skills) M5=Making Lvl 5 ( Replaces all Non-Combat skills) W0= No Weapon A0= No Armor The entire map consists of that small screen you were on, the purple squares are Monsters, and the Green squares are players. When the green square moved, it had died. You and the few green squares that were there there were the last players left on RuneScape- now known as SimpleScape. ---------------------------- You'd probably hate Jagex even more for doing that to the game, right? Well stop complaining about the recent updates, they could have been much worse, such as making everything only P2P or only F2P, or making the game into a cheap, easy to win, horribly designed game like as mention above.
  9. You're acting like it will be free only. Free to play gets to use most of it. You get to use all of it. That's just like you getting a car for your birthday, and your brother gets a car with no windshield wipers. Yet you complain that he got something "almost" as good as yours regardless that you got something better. And just like the Duel Arena. Can members still use it? Yes. Just F2P can use it too. Nevertheless, I'm trying to find ways that this will benefit P2P as well.
  10. Steamrollers are slow, fairly small, and have minimal protection. The only way to go offensive with a steamroller to to crush the skulls (and brains) of immobilized zombies. Mobile zombies will easily climb onto the steamroller and bite you. Yes, you could shoot them if they try to climb on, but that'd be an ammo waster.
  11. What's a something? When zombies are taking over the world no assumptions can be made.
  12. How would you get the tank? How do you know the military wouldn't put all of the tanks into action? Or what if they wouldn't let you take one?
  13. An idea to somewhat eliminate that problem. You could get a high horsepower, high speed truck, possibly a tractor trailer with no trailer, and mount a snowplow on the front of it. That's to plow zombies and other debris out of the way. An even better idea, is to use a train to escape. No car is better protected or faster than a train. Use a diesel engine, because steam burns fuel quickly, and electric powered ones as well as subways may shut off at any time due to fallen power lines. Any zombie that tries to get on a train at full speed will never get on it. It's too fast, too high up, and you can easily kick off other people that might be infected. And a zombie on the tracks in front of you will instantly be killed by the train. Sadly, though, with a train, you have very limited routes to leave, unless you can find an abandoned railroad depot in the wilderness, and what if there are other trains on the tracks as well? CRASH! I think you may want to rethink that. Anyways, with a train, what if there's a car parked across the tracks? Or a bunch of cars? I'm sure a train couldn't stand up to that kind of punishment. I'd get a boat and sail the lands, looking for untouched civilisation. I rethink NOTHING! Probably the only thing a train couldn't smash through is another train, or if somehow a plane(??) was on the tracks. A train can easily ram a few cars out of the way. You know in the movies where the hero's car stalls on the track? Why doesn't he just wait there, knowing that the train will be destroyed by hitting his puny car? And what if you never found a safe island? Or ran out of food or water? Or died of scurvy? Or if the people you found were hostile cannibals?(Not zombies, cannibals)

  15. How about an IQ test that requires some quick thinking that only a 13+ could do?
  16. Well, no Xp is given for smithing a train. Problem solved.
  17. Ranked skills have nothing to do with why I'm ranting. Barrows- This is a game where you bring prayer potions, your best armor, and sharks to kill a monster to find some valuable armor- for economically themed reasons. God Wars- Same thing. I do not, nor will ever pay for a repetitive game where the same things are done every day. Very, very quickly, does this game develop a goal where is to do this: Cut Yews Fletch Buy Bs Alch Bank Or, Fish Sharks Cook Sell Bank money Or, Kill Fire giants Alch Drops Buy full Guthans and Equip And also, I have quit. I'm saying here why I quit, and what needs to be done to the game. I want to hear a decent reason why this game isn't so repetitive. Not, "Z0mG0rz only one r4nk3d sk1ll n33b"
  18. Can you grow pineapples from your nose if you want to? I didn't think so.
  19. Most quests in Runescape are about running around between NPCs, Killing one monster, or... *Goes blank* Not about exploring.
  20. I have been playing this game for almost a year, but have quit, both because of addiction, and because of one of the biggest unsolved questions in this game that no one cares to mention: Where'd the "Adventure" go? Jagex claims this to be an "Adventure" game. But, they are very wrong. Runescape has become a popular game, but not where players explore new areas and slowly figure out their way around. This game has become completely commercialized, every day a player logs on and thinks, "I'm going to go wc 500 yews, fletch them, then buy bs and sell it on the Exchange!" Or something similar to that. Doesn't that get boring after a while? Just watching a figure swing an axe at a tree? And then we have (or had, considering the 12/10 updates) the Wilderness. This is no longer a place where players explore dangerous areas in hopes of finding treasure, or even attack a couple unlucky players, but had become an area where rich players drop trade their best equipment to new accounts to make ultimate killing machines to drop trade the income right back to their mains. Also, the skillers. These accounts, I must admit, are useless. These players could simply skill on their main to make a unified, stronger, main. They only contribute to the commercial goals to the game, which must further erase opportunities for new islands or dungeons to explore to make room for economical things such as the Grand Exchange. Wait--Economical? Adventure games aren't supposed to have an economy! They're supposed to be games where players are mostly self-dependent on obtaining items, and trade sparingly. I'm sure many of you have noticed that Varrock has also become more packed because of its commercial status. When Jagex hears that a certain city becomes more popular, they simply add more to it! This ends up with the attention diverted away from the mystery and adventure to the game. Densely-packed areas aren't adventurous. Something Jagex needs to add is a large, random, block of land that has resources and monsters scattered all over the place, and no banks, no general stores. For a while, this would keep many people occupied on exploring the area, searching for treasure, maybe even keep them away from ranting, because they will have something to look forward to. Jagex, you need to make the game more interesting, more mysterious, and more dangerous, or you might as well call Runescape, Businesscape--The Massive Online Economoical Game!
  21. Bump...Again. *Sigh*
