  1. The only reason that you kind of people say that is because your parents let you/pay for it. You probably have also never addressed why else they don't pay. Such as the risk of addiction, can't afford it, or they would like to spend it on college, a new car, or something else that would actually help them in real life. So you're saying because we want to spend our money on something molre beneficial than an online game we can't enjoy playing it?
  2. I've updated it so you can toggle what you see of the trains, and have also added a Livestock Car for carrying Summoning animals.
  3. Ok, I'll edit that.
  4. Neither communism nor socialism will be successfully run as a form of government, because of human nature. Both express the idea of everyone in the system not being better than anyone else, and not getting any more benefits nor wealth than anyone else. The wealth, goods, and territory is divided to be equally advantageous to everyone. The prices of goods are also chosen by the government, and jobs are assigned by the government as well. Everyone is also meant to be working on the same projects and ideas together. Communism is usually run by an official known as a Chairman, and that person, in most cases, either loses his power quickly, or converts the government into an autocracy or dictatorship. The other reasons why this isn't possible is because humans can't "Just get along" as this system suggests. There almost always has to be some sort of competition between people, and they cannot always agree on everything such as jobs or prices which the government must decide for them.
  5. Copied and pasted from my other thread: ------------------------------------------------------ A while ago, I once saw a thread on the RSOF called "Flat Coke, Flat Runescape" and it went something like this: "Imagine you are advertizing for Coca-Cola, and you are handing out free cans of Coke as samples. If you wanted to convince them that Coca-Cola was the best drink around, would you give them a warm, flat can, or a cold, fizzy can? You would probably give them the cold, fizzy can to make them want to buy the product." "Jagex, however, does not use this method. They give F2P as a boring, repetitive version of the game, which greatly reflects the member version. This makes would-be customers say, "Sheesh, I'm not paying my hard earned cash for a lousy game." And if Jagex said, "But the P2P version is better!" You would think they were just trying to swindle you out of your money. It's just like giving the customer a flat can of Coke and promising that if you pay for it it'll be better." -------------------------------------------------------- Also, an interesting thing from Wikipedia: "RuneScape is a Java-based MMORPG operated by Jagex Ltd. With over ten million active free accounts and more than one million paid member accounts, RuneScape is rated among the most popular online games in the world." Also, there is an estimated 100,000 macroer accounts in F2P, about 1/100th of it. --------------------------------------------------------- So that's what would happen if F2P was removed, or all F2Pers quit. The reputation of the game would drop rapidly.
  6. Players cannot be hit by the trains, and, how would this slow down each world? The resources it would take to draw every train run by every player in-game would lag it. Since you assume lots of players will have trains, which apparently have lots of cars and all. And what I said before - even not within the lines of lag, trains would constantly slow each other down. It would become too cluttered, which is why each canoe has its own room. Fo' Serious. Pedestrains and other trains will pass each other on the tracks as if there were no/other trains on the tracks. Would it reduce the lag by making the trains and whoever rides them invisible to everyone else?

And the technology. That isn't much of a problem, the trains I'm talking about are from the 1830's to 50's, some of the first invented.
  9. I've edited it so the traffic on the rails is greatly reduced, and the station delay for leaving is reduced to 10 seconds; hopefully it'll be less time consuming.
  10. I'm confused. Why is everyone against RSC again?
  11. About the alliance. I went to Sal's clan chat and made an agreement with the chat users to stop the spam war between us. They agreed. This might mean that they might take it easy on us... I hope...
  12. Looks like somebody didn't read the conclusion.
  13. Well, I was just asking about functionality. The important part of any system is not how it looks, but how it works. As for the "fixed rate", I meant why not let players set their own price to their own trains? EDIT: Who says members aren't keen on giving F2P a faster method of transportation? Do we have ridiculously fast transport methods? By the way, I can't show you a train that with unlimited storage, but I can show you a spell that apparently understands the concept of how much a certain piece of paper is worth to a bank. Involving riding trains: so at the stations, you will just see all the trains that are currently at that station, letting new passengers on? Will this be in list form or will you actually be able to see every single train that's currently at that station? If you have to be on your own train to operate it, it doesn't seem like a very efficient way of making money. For one thing, it just seems like it'd be too inconvenient to have to be there while you cart people around, unable to do anything else. On one side, you might say "WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO RIDE MY TRAIN AND LIKE THERE'S GONNA BE PEOPLE ON EVERY STATION WHO WANTS TO RIDE MY TRAIN", but on the other hand, if everyone wants to profit from their trains, then the odds of people riding your train specifically will be low. It'll be like the Grand Exchange: it's easy to buy, but not as easy to sell. It'll be easier to find a conductor than to host your own train. Although that's all just speculation. EDIT: Here's another question. Why do trains have to be player-operated in the first place if every single train goes on the same exact route for the same exact price? I've edited it so now the boarding fees can be changed by players. That way, players have a certain reason to board a certain train. (Ex. cheapest, fastest, etc.) Also, members have many more, faster methods of transportation. free players have few. Think spirit trees, fairy rings, more teleports, etc. I consider F2p the "working class" of Runescape. They provide much of the lobsters, yews, coal, and other resources that P2P needs. (And not just the bots, which this update won't help very much). So, why not make F2P be able to boost their production? And with the lists. It does make sense to put on the timetable what trains are ready for boarding, their routes, what they can ship, their cost, and the type of locomotives. I'll make some ASCII models of what they will look like.
  14. As said in the conclusion, these trains were made by the dwarves.
  15. I'm not a firemaker, but I like this idea and support.
  16. Is that a support...or not?
  17. I support this thread, I have all of the random event clothes (excluding the zombie mask) There are also other inconveinces that F2P has.

I'm a complete free player who is trying to get Jagex to develop F2P more. On a few suggestions I've had here, some P2P (but mostly not) pull the "We Pay" crud on me, even if they don't want the update to happen, even if it's P2P only. So why do they care if F2P gets an update that members won't need? They already have about 4/5 of the game, and they get about 9.99/10 of the updates. The SOS was made for F2P for a good reason, to educate new players about account security. The party room nobody in F2P really wanted, P2P can take it back if they want. And polls.... You payed 5$ a month to vote in a poll??
