  1. OMG, good point. That explains the frequent "tink" noises when you hit them with metal weaponry. Can't believe I didn't realise sooner! All we need now is an explanation for why they exude blue blood splats (with the number 0 in them) every time you don't hit them hard enough to actually hurt them... and also why the blood - regardless of whether it's red or blue - has numbers in it anyway! That's easy Blue blood is blood that hasn't been oxygenated. When blood leaves the body it is oxygenated. So blue blood = no damage. As for numbers, white blood cells in the blood I guess. youre wrong about the blue splats! it when you cut out entire sections of veins, but it hurts so bad it doesnt! gosh, even noobs know that. You're mistaking my use of the word "hurt" in the phrase "hard enough to actually hurt them". I really should have said "harm". Whether or not it's painful, the blue happens when no harm is done, ergo there is no cutting out of large sections of veins. Plus my point on the colour of deoxygenated blood is still in place, so your "explanation" doesn't work for that reason either. Nice try tho. Oh, and where exactly are you going to find an "entire section of veins" without several other body tissues in the immediate vicinity? :wall: Now to get properly back on-topic: I've learned that you have to choose a certain setting called "HD" on a mystical dimensional plane known only as "The Login Screen", otherwise all the water in the world is opaque!

When blood leaves the body it is oxygenated. So blue blood = no damage. As for numbers, white blood cells in the blood I guess. Deoxygenated blood still isn't blue. When you get a cut, is the blood blue? No. But is it oxygenated? No, because you've cut a vein. If it was oxygenated, you would evidently have cut an artery and would therefore be very rapidly bleeding to death. :? I like the white blood cells idea, although they'd have to be clumping a hell of a lot to be visible macroscopically. Also it'd be so improbable that they'd always form the shape of a number (as they do) that for all practical purposes it can be considered impossible! : Who says pures do go far in life? :shame: I think puring is very limiting, personally.

  4. I've learned that RS is pretty good as a source of a comedic "What X has taught me" thread, which I personally seem to be in the habit of *bump*ing.
  5. I've also learned that previously non-existant-in-RuneScape holidays spontaneously begin to be celebrated when I'm not looking - I missed Thanksgiving and April Fools because I generally only go on RS now for the holiday events, and I didn't therefore know that they'd been added! Furthermore... I've learned that having a female avatar does get you a certain degree of different treatment, despite the fact that you'd think people know by now that many "female" characters are male. For the record, my avatar is female not because I am lying about my gender, but as research into precisely this phenomenon. Strictly speaking, I don't even claim to be female. People simply assume it, and assumptions are often very dangerous things to make on the internet.
  6. I think this should be added to the list of things I support, although not quite enough to be one of the select few for my sig. Still, do add me to the supporters' register. I had to smile at the post early on about F2Ps not having too many updates... 2-3 a year is fine. Do we really get that many? I hadn't noticed. I'm not counting graphical updates or similar, btw, since they merely enrich the playing experience. They aren't an actual addition per se. EDIT: Hmm... 666th post in the thread. I'd be worried, if only I were remotely superstitious and, furthermore, didn't know that the number of the Beast is actually 616, not 666.
  7. Oh, support. By a mile. The right-click option and post-report snapshot especially. I totally agree with the frustration of needing to report within a minute of the last one. It's not always just for one person either... it can happen that two totally different people warrant reporting. And you are reduced to counting exactly 60 seconds to get the next snapshot to cover immediately after the last one. The scroll lock sounds good, though it could have drawbacks. Also, forgive me if this has been addressed already somewhere in the middle of the thread, but in the context of reporting abuse, what is the scroll lock really for...? Still, it would doubtless be useful one way or another. On a vaguely related note, I think they should pay more attention to F2P's reports too. I can see why they prioritise members (...well, sort of), but when it comes to trust, have you seen the early archived articles in the RS Knowledge Base? ;) Look at the ones called "cheating scum blocked" and "more cheating scum blocked", and look how many of the number are members. It's not more than half, unsurprisingly, but it's still disturbingly high for a... group, for want of a better word... that Jagex prizes so highly. :| Basically, I return to my initial statement: I totally support it.
  8. Hmmm... I like the sound of it. Could be complex, and probably won't happen, but who knows? I say it has potential. Add me to the support list!
  9. The thing with wearing and carrying is that some people are not as lax as the rest of us when it comes to the fact that if you've got all your best stuff with you and somebody hacks your account, they can drop all the stuff you have to be picked up by them or an accomplice. Admittedly, I don't stick all my stuff in the bank every time I logout, but then that's partly because ultimately we still don't really have enough space in there. Not that I don't appreciate the extra we finally did get. Some of us like to keep our skill options open. I try not to neglect any of my skills, and my bank space suffers accordingly. But if I were to just "drop" the skills, what do I do with the related items in the meantime? Some of them are far too valuable to just dump, let alone reacquire when I similarly "drop" other skills to return to the initially "dropped" ones. So the skill restriction is not an option. Not a problem for me, but some people might have cut gems as drops or randoms, but not be able to cut them due to low crafting. Consequently, they might have several diamonds, say, both cut and uncut. Are you suggesting that they get rid of one set or the other to free up space, when the item is either very valuable, or has the immediate potential to be? I think not. Also, what is supposed to mean? Perhaps you mean something different, but the way you've said it implies that cutting gems somehow makes them take up no bank space. Or just gets rid of them. Magically, I can only presume. I would also like to say that while I can see the possible merit in using the GE spaces for temporary storage, it comes with its own share of problems. Which should all be obvious. Especially if you are actually trying to sell something in those two spaces. Accordingly with all this, the campaign tag remains in my signature.
  10. If Jagex listened to you, the game would be ruined... Without F2P, you're absolutely screwed. And why exactly do I not deserve the duel arena? Are you superior to me? I think not. So you can shove your post back up your posterior and go to the RSOF. Ok? Nice one harrinator, although we may have to brace ourselves for the potential comeback about why they are (in their own minds) superior. It is true, though. F2Ps are vital to RS as they form a large part of the market economy, among other things. In fact, I think this point has actually cropped up on this thread before, as part of the supporting reasons for more bank space :-k ...the point is, it's nice to have the bank space at last.
  11. Yes, ham100000001, it's true that members do sometimes run out of space too, BUT they get more space in most updates do they not? Plus, members have more than enough space for essentials, whereas even taking some of the less essential essentials from the average F2P's bank leaves little spare room. Furthermore, members can use the costume wardrobe for random event clothes, which F2Ps can't. :wall: Oh, and if I presume too much, which is possible if not probable, feel free to correct me. Now, as for rallies... although they have officially stopped, we could maybe consider getting a small gathering together occasionally? Although I most certainly wouldn't suggest making me responsible for the whole thing (I would make a rubbish leader :? ), I wouldn't mind perhaps leading small groups around now and then. Only problem would be if a J-mod turns up, since Blackbear (in the earlier parts of this thread) said he was the one to handle that situation should it occur on a rally... :-k Well, I doubt anyone in their right minds would follow me anyway : As ever, I live in hope of the rallies returning and of more F2P bank space!
  12. Lol I've noticed this too. Like bars are a lot lighter than their component ores. I know some material burns off in theory, but I think it drops a bit much even for that to account for... Oh, and re: Senventior Disthine Molenko... nope, I'm pretty sure that's exactly what Aubrey says when he teleports you, spelling and all. Maybe my pronunciation is off then :? Anyway, I have another few now: All pairs of identical twins, although different in appearance from other pairs of twins, are female. Furthermore, one of them is always evil, and the other is always called Molly. And the Evil Twins are unoriginal, since they all commit the same villainous acts as one another, including taking several innocent civilians with her when captured. Pinball doesn't ever involve balls, only people tagging glowing posts. And there are trolls involved for some strange reason. Contrary to what your parents tell you, it can be very rewarding to be taken somewhere by mysterious old men  . On top of that, you usually don't have much choice  The entire universe has a soundtrack which is somehow accessed piece by piece by travelling to far-flung places Diango is a super-genius, since he can remember exactly which holiday items a certain player has or has not got. And this applies to the items owned by millions and millions of players. Armour and suchlike often disappear into the ether, since enemies wearing it don't drop it when killed.
  13. For quite some time I have thought to myself...just the last four on the bottom row would be enough sometimes, but I agree 12 is better still. Now I've found this thread and I see that there has been coordinated effort on this! =D> So, here's hoping the rallys come back on soon! Sign me up please!
  14. I've learned the following: That a needle is as big as a plank of wood if you drop it on the floor  That no matter how many logs are burnt and coal is put in furnaces, the most evidence there is of global warming is the grass in Varrock going a bit browner in the next update That you can only carry a maximum of 28 round stones (or 54 if you use some special pouches), but if you hold them up to mystical chunks of rock they get pictures painted on them and, even weirder, you can suddenly carry a limitless number of them! When you mine said round rocks, they always break off the source rock exactly the same shape as one another No matter how many times you say Senventior Disthine Molenko, you still can't teleport yourself to the Rune Essence mine Not only are there boundaries where you can suddenly attack other people once you cross them, there are more boundaries where you can suddenly attack and be attacked by multiple opponents The chance of finding a needle in a haystack is actually pretty high You are mysteriously unable to perform many actions and explore many parts of the world unless you pay a certain amount of money to the mysterious organisation known only as "Jagex" Minotaurs not only exist, they carry noted copper, tin and rune essence. When they went to a bank to get their ores noted remains a mystery Many things drop piles of bones that look exactly the same, regardless of whether it's a rat or a big skeleton You can bury bones in any surface, even solid concrete or upper floors of buildings. And you don't need a spade. And you can do it even if there's something in the way on the floor where you're standing! :? There are a hell of a lot of gods. One of whom is a cat  You can cut off a dragon's head. She still comes back. And you can't fight her again no matter how much you may want to Paper hats are the most desirable and most expensive things in existence Your bag, which is totally invisible, can carry only 28 sardines. However, it can also somehow carry 5K arrows, 20K aforementioned painted rocks, 195K reels of thread, and 25 lumps of granite. And you don't collapse from the weight, even if youre wearing a full suit of heavy armour to boot Prayer actualy works, but only for a while Drinking certain alcoholic beverages can help you to get into exclusive clubs without fulfilling the entry requirements Is that enough for now...?
